god I miss when thargoids were genuinely terrifying and their combat was hard. Now with cold orbiting and modified guardian weapons you can chew through most interceptors without even trying. It is good that the skill level is lower so it's more approachable for new commanders though
Hehe - thanks for the comment. If you look at the video date it's soon 5 years old. This was when AXI, for example, was in its infancy and the gauss cannons had just been made available. So I was among the first to try out a build with 4x gauss cannons. Today I would of course not use the same build 😉
You only have to do the stupid puzzle like 2 or 3 times. All you need is a guardian weapon and maybe some guardian hull and modual reinforcement. You can get the craft mats from just driving around, scanning stuff and shooting guardian drones, and structures.
Guardian HRPs are pretty much useless, but Guardian SRPs are pretty great. So for an unlock list, SRP, MRP, and gauss cannon (C2) will be pretty much it.
thargoid heart canisters just make me think of a jar of pickled artichoke hearts

ignoring the fact that a sidewinder killed a hydra, I’d say thargoid combat is still quite hard

thargoid shields naturally decay unlike human
Basically, Thargoids have burst shields instead of sustained shields. They decay over time instead of regain over time like human shields.

anacoda is not for gauss cannons. you could kill it in a matter of seconds with a diffrent build.
