Genshin censors characters/camera angles. Nikke does not, or uncensor them when fans complain. Genshin is predatory for units/weapon, Nikke is only predatory for certain premium skins. Genshin devs dont care about their players, Nikke devs listens to their players. Genshin has a good story but told in the worst way possible with the most boring dialogues. Nikke has a good story with good engaging dialogues. The choice is obvious.
i think there was ONE time when nikke censored something, apparently the character yuni used to lick her whip during her burst animation, but that got removed at some point(?), i don't use yuni at all so i don't know if they put that back or not
@@grandpotato172 The only instance I know of is Anis having her artwork censored in some promo art but in game shes fine. A lot of characters also has been decensored like Makima's coat e.t.c Overall they listen to players.

Nikke is very f2p friendly and it's awesome...and yeah the a lot of people from community also didn't like it when the devs added the 60$ gatcha skins.

3 months of Nikke and I have done 1042 pulls and have pretty much all the top meta units it’s funny how I’ve still spent a bit despite the generosity because I feel the developers truly respect my time and money
I've tried nikke once when it was first released, and at the time i don't really like progression system (the fact that i need 5 nikkes to break the lvl 160 barrier was such a crazy concept for a casual and f2p player). Hence i left the game pretty early... Fast forward to the nier automata collab event, i decided to give this game another try with a forgiving mindset... And ohh boy i love this game so much! The way game gives you to the player are super generous when compared to other gacha games! My problem with the lvl 160 barrier was sorted out after a month of playing (thats just how generous the developer to us players!) My love to this game solidifies during the 1st anniversary of the game... The way they were thankful for the playerbase and giving a crapton of rewards as a thank you! Recently i just quit genshin because of the recent fiasco between the playerbase and the company... Yeah I was SWEATING about the 160 wall as a new player only to have already beaten it at lvl 152 synchro in total they’ve given me 1042 pulls as of today. They’re literally so generous they make you shit yourself thinking about the wall only to naturally beat it plus you get the spare body selector at 140 which is massive
You "can" build around any nikke you want, but there are tiers- for the late to end game you pretty much need certain units, nevermind the competitive arena where you'll see the same 5-7 units in every team.
The misconception about the 60$ skin most people get (I was one of them before) is that the cost is on the skin alone when in fact, it's a package that includes gears, materials for upgrades and gears, tickets, etc. when you try to spin for the skin and it costs less if you're lucky.
That's true, but than you compare it's value with the "battle pass" and it's clear the value is not enough, they need to give more for what equates to 3 battle passes in price. You get one premium skin instead of 3 "ragular" skins and I don't think you get more materials from the gatcha compared to a single pass let alone 3. It's legitimately such a shame to have such an obvious blamish in an otherwise really good game. Just boost the amount of crap you get with it and it'll be relatively fine.

The 60$ skin is a gatcha skin, you have a chance to get it before all of the rolls but it is very small, the other rolls give all kinds of materials that are useful, the "regular skins" I mentioned are skins from battle passes, each battle pass is 20$ and comes with a skin and all kinds of materials. The 60$ skin is a higher quality one, usually has a unique pose, effects and "ultimate" scene, the regular skins are usually an outfit change, maybe a unique pose. So it is higher quality but I don't think it's high enough quality to be so expensive. The materials you get from the 60$ are usually more rare, but you don't get that many of them to warrant such a price. Of course it's all optional, but it still sucks to have a cool looking skin locked behind such a steep price.

not to mention collabs, i get that nikke collabs are meant to attract players from another famous IP's fanbase but when they do collab they go hard, they could've just added the characters and called it a day, but the developers go out of their way to make original music, minigames, and a whole story that ties the collab with the nikke universe to make it believable and immersive. I was big mad😭 In addition to what you mentioned, peeps got a ridiculous amount of free pulls. -60 Advanced Vouchers (rainbow tickets) -25 Ordinary Vouchers (blue tickets) -21 free pulls on Red Hood banner (On every daily reset during event) - And yeah basically a freebie MLB Pilgrim if you logged in every day during the event. (Not meta ofc, since she's a welfare Pilgrim, but still better than most other SSRs and can help new players clear the 160 wall) So yeah hearing that Genshin only did 3 pulls for their anni is insane. I'll still peek back in that game from time to time to run around the new maps with Yelan/Raiden, but yeah I pretty much quit that game for much the same reasons as you... As you say though, Nikke isn't all sunshine and rainbows. *Honestly my personal biggest complaint about Nikke thus far is the 160 wall. It's absolute ass and most players will get stuck there for a bit (as I am currently),* but at least its a one and done thing and I'm like 1-2 weeks from clearing that last major hurdle. Speaking of, *congrats* on getting TWO pilgrims in such a short time frame. Rapunzel is the best healer in the game, and Harran is the queen of AOE DoT type DPS. I also noticed you got Noise who is also a solid tank/healer unit in her own right. Between Noise and Rapunzel, you already have two meta burst 1 units for Special Arena PVP if you ever decide to brave that part of the game. (Beware, yeh who enters special arena. Much malding will likely ensue if you try to fight for the top spots xD) You should also be getting Privaty soon if you have been doing that daily event checklist (the original Privaty, not the upcoming alt maid one so don't get confused xD). Don't sleep on her just because she is a welfare SSR. She's actually great for both PVE and PVP. She earned a permanent spot in my Syncro device after being MLBed and reaching level 200.

I feel the same, returned to Nikke for Nier collab and oh boy, we eating good I love the Dev's of Nikke, it's almost as if no drama last more than a week cuz they listen a LOT to people And there's a Lot to this game, but, Lore oh god, when you find out how it's the story of Nikkes when they became one, it's a crazy story Congrats for moving on, and keep in mind, don't always trust auto, in most game and specially late game, playing manually will help you to beat barriers, specially with bosses ✌️

What keeps me coming back to Nikke is the likable and fun characters. It's not just the designs but the unique personalities and stories like whatever the recent Leona one was called about her pet lion. Nikke gives you so many different flavors that makes the world feel more alive.

i have seen other people mention that you got some pretty powerful units (rapunzel, haran, noise) so here is my tiny add on to that: you got novel(the detective girl) make sure to keep her in mind, when you invest in her skill, her burst specially, she becomes a massively powerfull support for boss encounters, some nikke players even call her a "boss killer" because her ult can apply a massive multiplier to the damage a boss receives from all sources, so she is great for boss fights, interception, raid content, basically anything where you have to kill a single big enemy edit: fix typo

Out of all the Gacha games I've player such as FGO, PtN, PGR, HSR, and Hi3rd, Nikke has been the most generous and legitimately beginner friendly. Been in Nikke for 1 month and it is so fun. Enjoying the story so far, started Chapter 13, Just got Liter and Rupee because I felt like it (Thanks to the wishlist), and I can't wait for Privaty Alter. And the guides, mmhmm, shout out to Zxous and GuitarRock First, therei are so helpful. If there's any gacha game you want to play, this is it.
PGR is definitely more F2P friendly than Nikke, but not by a huge margin. PGR has much more forgiving pities and you can afford every new banner just by doing weekly challenges.

Well you can pull for them next time *Waits 2 years for that one unit that they've always wanted* (This was my Waiting for Eula experience) Nikke be like: Oh... You missed out on this character that you want? Its ok my dude, You can still pull them in the standard banner pool and get them anytime and anywhere or you can get them by chance in them gold molds if you're REALLLY lucky. That or you could have purchased them for at least 200 gold mileage tickets (which you can hoard btw) and could have gotten said character right away. Oh well, you can get them someday
When Genshin came out, I always told my friends that the game would've been better if it wasn't a gacha game. Idk, I just feel like the game has too big of a scope, imo. Anyways glad you're enjoying your time with Nikke, man 👍

I don't even play Genshin, but youtube keeps recommending me videos of people saying how and why Genshin sucks lololol. Hope you keep playing NIKKE for long, and i don't know if someone gave this advice already but farm the Damn Core Dust the most you can, it's very important for leveling characters in late game. Even when you are low on Battle Data Set, don't worry, you'll end up having way enough. Great video 👍✨️

Genshin is absolute ass. The only reason people keep playing is due to the time and money they sunk into the game. They feel that since they invested so much, they HAVE to keep playing. There is no endgame there is nothing to do and the devs treat their player base like ass clowns.
All of the veteran players from 2021/2022 only log into Genshin to play the new storyline and log out for a few weeks and months and do it again it seems.
You don't have to wait long for the 2nd anniversary because they might do a 1.5 anniversary with a Pilgrim everyone has demanded for half a year on. They're also releasing chapter 27 and 28 by the end of this month.

I quit halfway in Sumeru too, didn't even unlock Wander's boss fight yet. Already had all I wanted for characters I cared about (mostly those from Inazuma and Liyue), Triple Crowed my favorite eight girls starting with my main girl Amber, beat the spiral abyss and reached AR 60. Nikke just feels better in terms of progression in getting stronger, rewards are better and it's all hot girls. Win.
Same as me, I finished Inazuma and while waiting for content I got bored, and when they announced Sumeru I wasn't even excited, when they announced Fontaine I started doing Sumeru quests and when Fontaine came out I unlocked the area and haven't touched since then...
Genshin’s story was the last thing that kept me going, but even that failed me. Going thorugh the story has become such a chore(especially thanks to paimon repeating the same information multiple times) that when I tried Nikke and see how good the the story telling in Nikke is what made me left genshin. I think genshin’s story is fine, it’s just that their story telling is horendous.
Been playing Nikke since the 1st anniversary event. Still trying to get past the 160 cap, but getting close. Devs are super generous and respect their fan base for the most part. The $60 skins are kinda wack, I really wish theyd make the Tribal Tower molds a 100% SSR drop rate, and the whole store your credit card for 1 pull thing was pretty sus, but otherwise, the game is really solid. Like so many others, came for the aesthetics, stayed for the story. Since starting, the only characters I've missed that I actually wanted were winter Ludmilla and Tove and I'm 100% ftp.
Saying you got bored from Fountaine is incredible considering it’s when they implemented the investigation system and instead of relying on repetitive domain clearing they focused more on exploration like when they had to gather clues around the fortress of Meropide. I know you’re not saying you got bored when the NIKKE campaign is pay to play. The NIKKE campaign is level gated by the amount of resources you can farm in a single day. And a lot of the mission can be auto cleared if the level gap isn’t too big. But if you do go manual the battles are repetitive and restrictive. I’m on Chp 24 for reference. The game is also near impossible to play without Liter or Dorothy because the tier 1 burst are underpowered without them with Dorothy being a Pilgrim meaning lower drop rates. You can clear Genshin with Traveler if you really wanted. Also the Genshin events are much more varied than NIKKE events. Incredibly diverse game modes.
I would disagree with your point on the campaign being pay to play. I've been f2p and I'm on chapter 24. I don't think Dorothy is a must pull for campaign I agree with your point that Genshin has varied events, whereas only Nikke's bigger events are varied in content. For me I just feel like I never can actually get the characters in Genshin. The fomo is real, I have to strategically plan which banner to pull for in Genshin. And also having to pull for the character weapon is impossible at that point for a f2p, not even mentioning that c6ing a 5 star character is out of the question. In Nikke at least I can wishlist a character I missed, and I basically just save up for limited, collab charas, or really meta characters
Nikke devs are so fucking based. Hyung Tae Kim is literally one of my childhood heroes, if you were an aspiring concept artist at around 2012 you've seen his works. I didn't know he was shiftup's CEO until I was fairly far into the game and when I did, everything made sense.
I came back to Nikke during the red hood event I ended up getting that character and a bunch of the best one and play regularly now even the story writing is good.

As a new Nikke player (and a woman) it makes me happy to see how welcoming this community is. Everyone has been really sweet and it’s just refreshing. The devs are amazing. Nikke is by far the best gacha game I’ve played and I’m shamelessly addicted.

for late game you will be having synchro device enhancement once you reach level 200 you will need 10 thousand core dust per level upgrade and costume gacha cost 60 dollar its a whale territory and the 20 dollar mission pass is monthly it gives high quality molds and normal recruit voucher to summon on normal banner there will be special mission pass for 20 dollars giving advanced recruit voucher to summon on special banner on special occasion you will need full 5 units with 3 stars to beat 160 wall

F2P, been playing since Sakura's release. Only missed Power, Makima, Himeno, S. Mary, S. Neon, and Snow Buddy Mica. I have all the meta units; just got Tia from free pulls today, Naga from friend recruit 2 days ago. I only need to spend like an hour for dailies and I still make good progress. As everyone keeps saying about NIKKE, come for the ass, stay for the depression.
Another thing Nikke gacha is generous. And if you missed a Nikke in an event as long it not limited or collab you can get them anytime I. Moods or general gacha. Btw Modernia and scarlet are most have. Literally too as well as bunnies sisters.
Nikke seems to be in a good spot. I think you can be strategic with your spending and resources so that you can acquire certain characters. I think if you are going to gacha spend, you can do a lot worse.

I played Summoners war everyday without miss for 8+ years. Spent 1000s of $ trying to pull units. After 3 years I only had 3 5 stars. Once spent over 500 trying to pull Ritesh. Didn’t get him till a few month ago when he’s not meta at all anymore. Between those abysmal rates and the maddening rng (Everyday I was pissed cos of the rng) i finally quit playing and downloaded and tried NIKKE randomly. 1 month I already have almost all units. Great gameplay no rng, best waifus. NIKKE is so good that even though it’s supposed to be an idle game people play it as a full game. I Stan this game fully.

I downloaded the game in May because I saw the designs in the leak that showed Nihilister and Dorothy and I started playing expecting the cliche tropes but instead ended up invested in the main characters as well as the stories of the other characters, crying like a bitch on some of them or laughing at others. But then Overzone dropped and I played it and got to Chapter 14 and then I knew...I fell in love with the game.
When star rail released, i gave on genshin. Already playing nikke at the time and decided to allocate my gacha funding to star rail and nikke. Best decision so far.
I’m still playing Honkai Impact 3rd myself and got into Nikke from playing Destiny Child and I agree the points you made. It really came to a head when Dehya got released and was literally trash and they just moved on. How you gonna release a near useless 5* and act as though its fine?
I'm a day 1 player in genshin and still play just because I'm already in too deep and my account is well built. After I picked up Blue Archive in mid 2022 I've stopped being too much emotionally invested and genshin and opening my wallet to them. Glad that we all found a better game that appreciates us more and is worth our money more.
Okay, while the games are completely different in pretty much every single aspect, I completely agree that Nikke's generosity, and community response is everything Genshin should be.
I play both. And to settle the score. This man is right. Nikke has way more rewards and way more content + higher chance of getting a “Five star”. Which is 4%/2 in Nikke. While as in Genshin, it is WAY harder.
real talk about the bunny girls and the school girls why players are so obsessed with it, they're the powercreep in every modes in nikke i really enjoy playing with Tianaga and i can finish all the chapters even thought i have less Battle Points. but for the bunny girls i still don't have noir so i dont know much about it but they can easily kill Train boss so easily if it's perfectly aim to the turrets.
the difference between the bunny girls and the school girls is that while the school girls have better damage buffs, they require for the enemies to have exposed cores, otherwise you will miss about half of their damage buffs, while the bunny girls, while having a weaker buff to dps(still a pretty good buff, just not as good as the school girls), it works in every situation, and the bunny girls have better healing than the school girls
This is more towards the community but do watch out. My friend who is a youtuber liked nikke but got pushed away from the game/community because people got mad for him having certain opinions on some nikkes, some even sent death treats. Not saying everyone is like that from the community but there are some out there.

Nikke CAN be extremely f2p IF and only if you get a good start. For example, if you started playing during the red hood anniversary and kept rerolling unitl you get the perefect start, your account would be overpowered as fuck. I did 33 rerolls and I got redhood, scarlet, modernia, dorothy, bunny twins, school girls, liter + other pilgrims and top tier chars. At this point in the game I have every SSS-S rank character in pvp/pve and it only took me 4 months. I never paid for summons until January patch and I paid for 40 ORDINARY recruit tickets because I wanted to break the 160 wall. I could of easily waited another month to break the wall and stayed f2p. I have never paid for advanced recruit vouchers and I'm currently swimming in mileage tickets. Ima be real honest, if you got a shit start, the game isn't that enjoyable. But if you grind until you do, you will love the game.
How is a game dev responsible for the pr and reward section of the game is like asking for police laws from a firefigther you got valid points but devs arent usually the ones deciding reward launch dates etc

I'm glad that you really like Nikke to me I really enjoy the game I like how each kikke is like a real person that you can get to know each day and they can text you, and as you said there was a lot to do in the game they are always having events with story lines and the devs always listening to the players always do updates and improvements they got future plans and they actually care about the game instead of trying to suck every dollar out of you and not really doing any type of work for it, I've never played it before but I have heard some wild stuff about Genshin and the community too and like you said a game character can be likeable on both sides but when one side completely Overkill declares that they are lesbians and they are gay and they can't be anything else when they actually have no proof or anything does get a little toxic😢 I haven't really come across a lot of that on Nikke, and the community can be nice and friendly and helpful.

I have never been treated better by any developer besides shift up. We were blessed with an insane 1 year anniversary with all the content and pulls we got. And then I see over in Genshin...3 pulls for sticking with it for 3 years. Ya nah fam. Genshin censors characters/camera angles. Nikke does not, or uncensor them when fans complain.
Genshin is predatory for units/weapon, Nikke is only predatory for certain premium skins.
Genshin devs dont care about their players, Nikke devs listens to their players.
Genshin has a good story but told in the worst way possible with the most boring dialogues. Nikke has a good story with good engaging dialogues.

i think there was ONE time when nikke censored something, apparently the character yuni used to lick her whip during her burst animation, but that got removed at some point(?), i don't use yuni at all so i don't know if they put that back or not

I've tried nikke once when it was first released, and at the time i don't really like progression system (the fact that i need 5 nikkes to break the lvl 160 barrier was such a crazy concept for a casual and f2p player).
Hence i left the game pretty early...
Fast forward to the nier automata collab event, i decided to give this game another try with a forgiving mindset... And ohh boy i love this game so much!
The way game gives you to the player are super generous when compared to other gacha games!
My problem with the lvl 160 barrier was sorted out after a month of playing (thats just how generous the developer to us players!)
My love to this game solidifies during the 1st anniversary of the game... The way they were thankful for the playerbase and giving a crapton of rewards as a thank you!

Yeah I was SWEATING about the 160 wall as a new player only to have already beaten it at lvl 152 synchro in total they’ve given me 1042 pulls as of today. They’re literally so generous they make you shit yourself thinking about the wall only to naturally beat it plus you get the spare body selector at 140 which is massive

You "can" build around any nikke you want, but there are tiers- for the late to end game you pretty much need certain units, nevermind the competitive arena where you'll see the same 5-7 units in every team.

The misconception about the 60$ skin most people get (I was one of them before) is that the cost is on the skin alone when in fact, it's a package that includes gears, materials for upgrades and gears, tickets, etc. when you try to spin for the skin and it costs less if you're lucky.
That's true, but than you compare it's value with the "battle pass" and it's clear the value is not enough, they need to give more for what equates to 3 battle passes in price.
You get one premium skin instead of 3 "ragular" skins and I don't think you get more materials from the gatcha compared to a single pass let alone 3.
It's legitimately such a shame to have such an obvious blamish in an otherwise really good game.
Just boost the amount of crap you get with it and it'll be relatively fine.

The 60$ skin is a gatcha skin, you have a chance to get it before all of the rolls but it is very small, the other rolls give all kinds of materials that are useful, the "regular skins" I mentioned are skins from battle passes, each battle pass is 20$ and comes with a skin and all kinds of materials.
The 60$ skin is a higher quality one, usually has a unique pose, effects and "ultimate" scene, the regular skins are usually an outfit change, maybe a unique pose.
So it is higher quality but I don't think it's high enough quality to be so expensive.
The materials you get from the 60$ are usually more rare, but you don't get that many of them to warrant such a price.
Of course it's all optional, but it still sucks to have a cool looking skin locked behind such a steep price.

not to mention collabs, i get that nikke collabs are meant to attract players from another famous IP's fanbase but when they do collab they go hard, they could've just added the characters and called it a day, but the developers go out of their way to make original music, minigames, and a whole story that ties the collab with the nikke universe to make it believable and immersive.

*Honestly my personal biggest complaint about Nikke thus far is the 160 wall. It's absolute ass and most players will get stuck there for a bit (as I am currently),* but at least its a one and done thing and I'm like 1-2 weeks from clearing that last major hurdle.
Speaking of, *congrats* on getting TWO pilgrims in such a short time frame. Rapunzel is the best healer in the game, and Harran is the queen of AOE DoT type DPS. I also noticed you got Noise who is also a solid tank/healer unit in her own right. Between Noise and Rapunzel, you already have two meta burst 1 units for Special Arena PVP if you ever decide to brave that part of the game. (Beware, yeh who enters special arena. Much malding will likely ensue if you try to fight for the top spots xD)
You should also be getting Privaty soon if you have been doing that daily event checklist (the original Privaty, not the upcoming alt maid one so don't get confused xD). Don't sleep on her just because she is a welfare SSR. She's actually great for both PVE and PVP. She earned a permanent spot in my Syncro device after being MLBed and reaching level 200.
Bro the difference in anniversary rewards from both games is insane. Hoyoverse (Big Fucking COMPANY) 3 single wishes, Shift Up (The Chad Shift Up) on the other hand gives all that you said genuinely fucking insanity. Also I’m giving into Arena and getting Privaty soon. There’s a lot Ima do

What keeps me coming back to Nikke is the likable and fun characters. It's not just the designs but the unique personalities and stories like whatever the recent Leona one was called about her pet lion. Nikke gives you so many different flavors that makes the world feel more alive.

i have seen other people mention that you got some pretty powerful units (rapunzel, haran, noise) so here is my tiny add on to that: you got novel(the detective girl) make sure to keep her in mind, when you invest in her skill, her burst specially, she becomes a massively powerfull support for boss encounters, some nikke players even call her a "boss killer" because her ult can apply a massive multiplier to the damage a boss receives from all sources, so she is great for boss fights, interception, raid content, basically anything where you have to kill a single big enemy

Out of all the Gacha games I've player such as FGO, PtN, PGR, HSR, and Hi3rd, Nikke has been the most generous and legitimately beginner friendly. Been in Nikke for 1 month and it is so fun.
Enjoying the story so far, started Chapter 13, Just got Liter and Rupee because I felt like it (Thanks to the wishlist), and I can't wait for Privaty Alter. And the guides, mmhmm, shout out to Zxous and GuitarRock First, therei are so helpful. If there's any gacha game you want to play, this is it.
PGR is definitely more F2P friendly than Nikke, but not by a huge margin.
PGR has much more forgiving pities and you can afford every new banner just by doing weekly challenges.
Genshin be like: Oh... You missed out on this one character that you want? Well you can pull for them next time

Welcome brother, I downloaded it at the beginning of 2023 and man I regret nothing it’s the only mobile game I’ve ever played daily and still not get burnt out.

Just a tip: eventually when you want to go beyond 200+ levels (late game). Stack as much core dust as possible. Gonna need a lot of core dust (red orbs)
I don't even play Genshin, but youtube keeps recommending me videos of people saying how and why Genshin sucks lololol.
Hope you keep playing NIKKE for long, and i don't know if someone gave this advice already but farm the Damn Core Dust the most you can, it's very important for leveling characters in late game. Even when you are low on Battle Data Set, don't worry, you'll end up having way enough.

Genshin is absolute ass. The only reason people keep playing is due to the time and money they sunk into the game. They feel that since they invested so much, they HAVE to keep playing. There is no endgame there is nothing to do and the devs treat their player base like ass clowns.
All of the veteran players from 2021/2022 only log into Genshin to play the new storyline and log out for a few weeks and months and do it again it seems.
You don't have to wait long for the 2nd anniversary because they might do a 1.5 anniversary with a Pilgrim everyone has demanded for half a year on. They're also releasing chapter 27 and 28 by the end of this month.

I quit halfway in Sumeru too, didn't even unlock Wander's boss fight yet. Already had all I wanted for characters I cared about (mostly those from Inazuma and Liyue), Triple Crowed my favorite eight girls starting with my main girl Amber, beat the spiral abyss and reached AR 60.
Nikke just feels better in terms of progression in getting stronger, rewards are better and it's all hot girls. Win.
Same as me, I finished Inazuma and while waiting for content I got bored, and when they announced Sumeru I wasn't even excited, when they announced Fontaine I started doing Sumeru quests and when Fontaine came out I unlocked the area and haven't touched since then...
Genshin’s story was the last thing that kept me going, but even that failed me. Going thorugh the story has become such a chore(especially thanks to paimon repeating the same information multiple times) that when I tried Nikke and see how good the the story telling in Nikke is what made me left genshin. I think genshin’s story is fine, it’s just that their story telling is horendous.

Been playing Nikke since the 1st anniversary event. Still trying to get past the 160 cap, but getting close. Devs are super generous and respect their fan base for the most part. The $60 skins are kinda wack, I really wish theyd make the Tribal Tower molds a 100% SSR drop rate, and the whole store your credit card for 1 pull thing was pretty sus, but otherwise, the game is really solid. Like so many others, came for the aesthetics, stayed for the story. Since starting, the only characters I've missed that I actually wanted were winter Ludmilla and Tove and I'm 100% ftp.

Saying you got bored from Fountaine is incredible considering it’s when they implemented the investigation system and instead of relying on repetitive domain clearing they focused more on exploration like when they had to gather clues around the fortress of Meropide.
I know you’re not saying you got bored when the NIKKE campaign is pay to play. The NIKKE campaign is level gated by the amount of resources you can farm in a single day. And a lot of the mission can be auto cleared if the level gap isn’t too big. But if you do go manual the battles are repetitive and restrictive. I’m on Chp 24 for reference.
The game is also near impossible to play without Liter or Dorothy because the tier 1 burst are underpowered without them with Dorothy being a Pilgrim meaning lower drop rates.
You can clear Genshin with Traveler if you really wanted.
Also the Genshin events are much more varied than NIKKE events. Incredibly diverse game modes.

I agree with your point that Genshin has varied events, whereas only Nikke's bigger events are varied in content.
For me I just feel like I never can actually get the characters in Genshin. The fomo is real, I have to strategically plan which banner to pull for in Genshin. And also having to pull for the character weapon is impossible at that point for a f2p, not even mentioning that c6ing a 5 star character is out of the question. In Nikke at least I can wishlist a character I missed, and I basically just save up for limited, collab charas, or really meta characters

Nikke devs are so fucking based. Hyung Tae Kim is literally one of my childhood heroes, if you were an aspiring concept artist at around 2012 you've seen his works. I didn't know he was shiftup's CEO until I was fairly far into the game and when I did, everything made sense.
I came back to Nikke during the red hood event I ended up getting that character and a bunch of the best one and play regularly now even the story writing is good.

for late game you will be having synchro device enhancement once you reach level 200 you will need 10 thousand core dust per level upgrade and costume gacha cost 60 dollar its a whale territory and the 20 dollar mission pass is monthly it gives high quality molds and normal recruit voucher to summon on normal banner there will be special mission pass for 20 dollars giving advanced recruit voucher to summon on special banner on special occasion you will need full 5 units with 3 stars to beat 160 wall
Oh you should also join a union to do union raids! Very fun challenging boss raid content and you also earn rewards to upgrade your cubes

I was a day 1 player for genshin and at inazuma I stopped. I saw the game for what it is, it's basically a high end cash grab to fund other projects. Also genshin community is one of the worse, like I remember when zhongli came out and was dog shit after the story basically hyped him up, yet when ppl was voicing how bad he was, the stans and cc were defending how bad he was

Another thing Nikke gacha is generous. And if you missed a Nikke in an event as long it not limited or collab you can get them anytime I. Moods or general gacha. Btw Modernia and scarlet are most have. Literally too as well as bunnies sisters.

For my opinion, Nikke community is the most open and welcoming people specially the devs do really care about their playerbase!!
Nikke seems to be in a good spot. I think you can be strategic with your spending and resources so that you can acquire certain characters. I think if you are going to gacha spend, you can do a lot worse.

I played Summoners war everyday without miss for 8+ years. Spent 1000s of $ trying to pull units. After 3 years I only had 3 5 stars. Once spent over 500 trying to pull Ritesh. Didn’t get him till a few month ago when he’s not meta at all anymore. Between those abysmal rates and the maddening rng (Everyday I was pissed cos of the rng) i finally quit playing and downloaded and tried NIKKE randomly. 1 month I already have almost all units. Great gameplay no rng, best waifus. NIKKE is so good that even though it’s supposed to be an idle game people play it as a full game. I Stan this game fully.

I downloaded the game in May because I saw the designs in the leak that showed Nihilister and Dorothy and I started playing expecting the cliche tropes but instead ended up invested in the main characters as well as the stories of the other characters, crying like a bitch on some of them or laughing at others. But then Overzone dropped and I played it and got to Chapter 14 and then I knew...I fell in love with the game.
When star rail released, i gave on genshin. Already playing nikke at the time and decided to allocate my gacha funding to star rail and nikke. Best decision so far.
I quit Genshin and HSR for Arknights, Arknights is just built differently, specially the characters, they're crazy fun
I’m still playing Honkai Impact 3rd myself and got into Nikke from playing Destiny Child and I agree the points you made. It really came to a head when Dehya got released and was literally trash and they just moved on. How you gonna release a near useless 5* and act as though its fine?

I'm a day 1 player in genshin and still play just because I'm already in too deep and my account is well built. After I picked up Blue Archive in mid 2022 I've stopped being too much emotionally invested and genshin and opening my wallet to them. Glad that we all found a better game that appreciates us more and is worth our money more.
Okay, while the games are completely different in pretty much every single aspect, I completely agree that Nikke's generosity, and community response is everything Genshin should be.
I play both. And to settle the score. This man is right. Nikke has way more rewards and way more content + higher chance of getting a “Five star”. Which is 4%/2 in Nikke. While as in Genshin, it is WAY harder.
real talk about the bunny girls and the school girls why players are so obsessed with it, they're the powercreep in every modes in nikke i really enjoy playing with Tianaga and i can finish all the chapters even thought i have less Battle Points. but for the bunny girls i still don't have noir so i dont know much about it but they can easily kill Train boss so easily if it's perfectly aim to the turrets.
The Bunny Girls are more universal and can sustain your team better. The Schoolgirls are great for bosses, especially ones with cores.
the difference between the bunny girls and the school girls is that while the school girls have better damage buffs, they require for the enemies to have exposed cores, otherwise you will miss about half of their damage buffs, while the bunny girls, while having a weaker buff to dps(still a pretty good buff, just not as good as the school girls), it works in every situation, and the bunny girls have better healing than the school girls
Remember: the cultured people is a good community
This is more towards the community but do watch out. My friend who is a youtuber liked nikke but got pushed away from the game/community because people got mad for him having certain opinions on some nikkes, some even sent death treats. Not saying everyone is like that from the community but there are some out there.

Nikke CAN be extremely f2p IF and only if you get a good start. For example, if you started playing during the red hood anniversary and kept rerolling unitl you get the perefect start, your account would be overpowered as fuck. I did 33 rerolls and I got redhood, scarlet, modernia, dorothy, bunny twins, school girls, liter + other pilgrims and top tier chars. At this point in the game I have every SSS-S rank character in pvp/pve and it only took me 4 months.
I never paid for summons until January patch and I paid for 40 ORDINARY recruit tickets because I wanted to break the 160 wall. I could of easily waited another month to break the wall and stayed f2p.
I have never paid for advanced recruit vouchers and I'm currently swimming in mileage tickets. Ima be real honest, if you got a shit start, the game isn't that enjoyable. But if you grind until you do, you will love the game.
How is a game dev responsible for the pr and reward section of the game is like asking for police laws from a firefigther you got valid points but devs arent usually the ones deciding reward launch dates etc
I quit Genshin for Nikke and have truly loved the characters and story, I just beat the 160 wall at synchro level 152 (don’t even sweat it yall you beat it naturally) GENSHIN COULD NEVER.

I'm glad that you really like Nikke to me I really enjoy the game I like how each kikke is like a real person that you can get to know each day and they can text you, and as you said there was a lot to do in the game they are always having events with story lines and the devs always listening to the players always do updates and improvements they got future plans and they actually care about the game instead of trying to suck every dollar out of you and not really doing any type of work for it, I've never played it before but I have heard some wild stuff about Genshin and the community too and like you said a game character can be likeable on both sides but when one side completely Overkill declares that they are lesbians and they are gay and they can't be anything else when they actually have no proof or anything does get a little toxic😢 I haven't really come across a lot of that on Nikke, and the community can be nice and friendly and helpful.

i stopped after arataki itto came out he was so fkin fun to play with then i pulled for the next 3/4 banners all of them just meh i havent touched the story since then now my quest list has 3 long ahh quests locked behind each other you know what that means... I have to sit there for 20 minutes spam clicking through dialogue just to get a quest where i make a shrimp dish for some old man what do i get for it FUCKING BOOKS 5 books and a couple thousand gold???
I have never been treated better by any developer besides shift up. We were blessed with an insane 1 year anniversary with all the content and pulls we got. And then I see over in Genshin...3 pulls for sticking with it for 3 years. Ya nah fam. The wishlist and the gold card pity systems in nikke has literally made it so possible for me to play f2p this whole time
