The problem with building in the Swamp is that you have Sambor as your neighbour! I'm always looking for new sites, and, while a couple of mine are in this video, you really have surprised me. The locations are delightful, and it's not often that we take the time to appreciate our surroundings, in this game. Now that we have wells building near water isn't quite such a limitation. Using Resource Storage buildings in appropriate locations allows remote fisheries and mine/ smithies, so even that isn't going to cramp our style. You've given me another couple of playstyle ideas, too - actually developing a town, a Manor, and the various remote industries, and - when I get the tech level - opening shops right by each settlement! The valley truly will be my home! Congratulations, I notice you are very new here. I like your videos, and you have THE perfect voice for narrating in this game. The editing is really good. THIS. This is the helpful type of settlement "guide" I was looking for. I started my first playthrough here: 4:11 but want something on the other side of the map where I've done far less exploration so far. This helped me get a good idea of what types of countryside lie in which areas, so tysm!
Great video! The second area you mentioned is one of my favourite spots to build! The landscape is super interesting, I love the cliffside road that leads down towards Jezerica. The updates to the map have added a lot of cool new potential spots! There is an area between Gostovia and Hornica with a little waterfall that has a patch of reeds, but the terrain around it is hard to build on. That is my next goal to figure out.

I started at the botom of the tiny waterfall on the right of Gostovia, thinking that I will be able to build some bridge to use both side of the river from the start of the waterfall and all along until the big lac on north, but sadly even if there is tricks, we can't build bridge, not yet ^^ And I didn't even look at the top of this waterfall and after finishing building my house there and realise brige wasn't possible, I was thinking to move away or restart somewhere else and look for a nice place. And so... Thanks for your video! Because one of your spot was just above this waterfall and when I realised this, I was going back to the game, jump on top of this waterfall and "wow" a lovely and wonderfull place to build my village... I was so close to move away and miss this place... Thanks for your time and for the quality of your video, sharing your ideas etc. Your voice and the quality of your Microphone is really great and contribute a lot to make the video enjoyable and keep the peacefully feeling from this game. At least it's my opinion ^^ Great video, you deserve more sub.
My favorite place is the south side of the lake near Denica. It's super flat, close to 2 caves, in the middle of the other villages, and the lake is really beautiful. Before I discovered that place I used the waterfall area east of Gostovia too. I would always put my home at the base of the waterfall as long as the tents weren't spawned there.Great Video! The waterfall that was your #1 choice was the first location I wanted to build at, I went with practicality and built by the river ultimately. Next time though. Great suggestions thanks.

This was exactly what i was looking for :) thanks for the video, all my favourite spots are already covered and more, exactly as i like them! I also build my first settlement right above the waterfall, i saw it and immediately build there, found the water cave later on and its also my number 2!

I’ve built in location 2 but you have to chop down so many trees that it destroys the view. My favorite spot is to start down from denica and build towards lesnica. It’s such a beautiful valley with lots of space and flat ground.

Hey, after a coupe of "test game" tries i am in my first "serious gameplay" and i decided to build my village in the last suggested location at 6:07 the only thing is that i just unlocked the smith and no metals close

I wish you could build bridges. I started a new build. Plan on keeping it a small homestead on the large Island at the top left side of the map.

Storehouse inventory is shared, put one at the mine and put your metals in there
