Yet you got these fringe minority but loudmouthed and very influential Muricans always trying to cancel Warhorse Studios and KCD, just because the game and it's historical accuracy don't fit their Murican-centric views on how they think society should be like. What Daniel Vávra and the others in Warhorse has done is something many people around the world have wanted for many years. An actual open world medieval simulator RPG game. They totally nailed it. Also great way to learn history with this game too. The Germano-Czech history that happened in the late medieval era right before the renaissance. These events that happened during the time the games are set in, did shape the future of Europe. I hope a possible huge success of KCD2 will inspire more European studios to pursue something historical like this game (and hopefully ignore the Muricans investments forcing stuff for "MoDeRn AuDiEnCeS" and destroy all immersion). oh, and about immersion. Try playing this game in German voice language. It adds quite a lot of immersion. Also same with the Czech voice language as well. It is a pity though that there isn't a mode for both languages spoken, and a Heinrich (Henry) who can speak both German and Czech. Since it would make a lot morer sense with Nobles speaking German primarily, while the peasants favour speaking Czech primarily.
All that when it should just be part of the game

I hate that sword so much. Symbol of freedom? but it poisoned the boy's mind as his compass to life. There were more things to do mate! Stop thinking about the symbolic freedom so much! Exercise actual freedom! God damn it Henry! RUNNN Symbol of Power? Do you know even with level 20 max sword level, Henry still couldn't cut the stick in the cutscene with Istvan 7:58? What kind of power is that? Get a birth certificate from Sir Radzig and wins friendship with Hans Capon, now that is real power of a certified bastard. Also, that young naive Henry and the end game Henry was only FEW WEEKS apart. Do you really think someone can mature by thinking about that one thing he lost every night when he lays on the hay stack? It will only grow a bitter man. Very very bitter. LET IT GO ALREADY HENRY! It is just wrong to channel will/belief/thingy into physical item like a vase and when you lose such item, you lose the faith within them. It is a invented logic trap one set to their emotion. It sickens me. Nice effort btw.
More Jan patejk really got me in shambles *mind my spelling*
LOCKPICKING HAS CHANGED!! The best news I've heard about this game so far.
Cumans and Romans now?
It does NOT come out this year. It has been pushed back to February 11th.
now February 4
@Tijn1672 Thanks for the update, m8.
Amazing work, I have a feeling your channel will grow exponentially with the upcoming game!
Thank you so much kind Sir! ☺
a most beautiful sword, not the strongest sword in the game though.
Goty nominee
Does this cover the Hussite wars after Wenceslas' death? How far into the future is this?
Nope KCD 2 will take place around 20 years before the start of the Hussite Wars
Basically, a god tier game.
Very good vid

On my playthroughs, runt was wrong with the bloodletting. My henry always kills a lot of cumans before going to talmberg. 😂 I can't resist on annihilating them. The game gives me a horse and most cumans are on foot. Its a win situation except in hardcore with haemophilia. Still I get to kill many before the horse chase scene.
Thank you for lovely video Lucy
I live in Prague and I know some people who worked on both KCD 1 and 2. I actually met Daniel Vávra and Jan Valta this weekend at an event. A lot of people say they want to see Prague and the Hussite Wars in KCD but the sequel still takes place in 1403. If they would ever want to do the Hussite Wars they would have to do at least 15 year time jump and even if there will be KCD 3 I doubt they would do the time jump because it would be weird making two games in the trilogy about young Henry and then suddenly flesh forward to the Hussite Wars just for the third game. And it's not even certain that they will do third game because Daniel Vávra seems really tired by the whole thing and he said many times that he has so many ideas for other projects which he really wants to do and can't even get to all of them in his lifetime because he's not the youngest anymore. Making games takes really long time and it's really stressful so I'm afraid that he'll move on to something else after KCD 2 (for example he has ambitions to make movies). Also, the reason why Warhorse chose the period before the Hussite Wars is that it's not as challenging and even so it's still really hard and they're probably glad that they were able to even get the game to it's current state. I doubt they would want such a huge challenge as delving into something so complicated as the Hussite Wars. Even though it would be awesome if someone would make game about the time period but this is just the sad reality. I could see them doing Prague in 1403 or 1404 in KCD 3 but again, I'm not sure if there will be any third game. Hopefully they'll make another one but we shall see. Btw if you would be interested I made a video about a place called Vyšehrad which is in Prague where I live and I talk about KCD and some history around the Hussite Wars in it as well. th-cam.com/video/kudntvTGXjY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CRriPVeFE8TnD7WK
What a nice video, now it makes me want to do that wall walk. I've been there to the Municipal house that I think is right next to there.. but didn't know that was the old wall or what the name of the street meant! Thanks!
This is going to Be fire💪🏻
I will only be sad if this is the end for Henry's story
Viktor Bocan said that this is going to end Henry's story
I'd bust if one of the DLCs brought us the map from the first game as an extra place to roam around. But also have Henry still producing revenue from his town and other such things.
you'd WHAT?!
I guess there will be a mod linking the two games into one eventually
Great video! Hoping to see Prague in a future KCD game. Also, I’m always amazed how often you can still see the boundaries of medieval cities even when the walls are gone and the moats filled.
You what mate?
😂
Hello Czech here (based in Prague) :). You're absolutely right about the Charles the 4th's era of ruling. Charles called himself rather a Czech than any other nationality, although he came from the House of Luxembourgs, grew up in France and ruled plenty of different monarchies. During the events in KCD 1, Charles' son Wenceslaus the 4th was the current king, but he was anything but just as great king as his father. Wenceslaus was desperate, timid, unreliable and extremely reckless, here in Czechia, we often recall him as one our worst kings we had. Once he did something meaningful/helpful for the people, very soon after that he would've get frightened by the nobility or the church and recall all his previous actions. It definitely wasn't an easy period of history for being a king, but his father managed to be our strongest monarch of all time, making logical decisions, making balance between peasants, nobility and cleric. Wenceslaus was later imprisoned by his brother Sigismund (who was a king of Hungary), then released with still being a king, though it made him even more frightened, so he stayed for majority of time in his castles. When Wenceslaus died in 1419, Sigismund as an heir of Czech throne became our new king. Sigismund was very similar to his father, Charles the 4th, with personality traits, perceptions and sense for ruling. Sigismund was great leader in other kingdoms, but in ours he sucked. He plundered our lands for decades for earnings, didn't care about Czechs, he loved being surrounded by high nobility rather than by servants. His and church's actions led to great event of Hussite wars (named after a priest and reformer Jan Hus, who wanted to advocate for a more transparent and honest catholic church - they were corrupted and super greedy. Hus was imprisoned and burned to death by the church in 1415, so Wenceslaus was ''a king'' but actually Sigismund had those reins in his hands over Czech kingdom, therefore the complicity is attributed to him). Hussite wars were some sort of holy wars within our kingdom, with Hussites (peasants, defected officers, some lower nobility) and Jan Žižka (their main leader) on one side, and higher nobility, church and king himself on the other. Hussites were actually badass, they've managed to win almost every battle they've had, Sigismund was so desperate he had to call pope Martin V. for help. With Žižka's death in 1424, the Hussites weren't as united as they used to be. The radicals (Žižka's Orphans - as they called themselves) wanted to continue in Hus' and Žižka's legacy, while the Taborites wanted a truce and negotiations with the church and king. They had some skirmishes with themselves, leading to Taborites final victory, they've got a truce and the war has ended. Yet Czech kingdom remained ununified until Sigismund's death in 1437 and even some time later... I'm amazed with our history and love to share with anybody :). Also I apologize for my English, as it isn't my mother tongue.
That's a pretty black and white view of the Hussite Wars...
As a Prague native myself I have to thank you for this beautiful summary sir 👏👏👏
Probably will be the size of night city in cyberpunk in KCD3
Of course they kicked your arse, you pervy
Another local name referencing the old city walls is Můstek - meaning the bridge to cross the ditch
I didn't know that! Thanks for sharing. 😀

I'm Irish and I visited Prague a few months ago; it's one of the most beautiful cities I've been to. Czechia and Central Europe in general are very underrated I think. Love KCD and looking forward to plenty more Bohemian shenanigans!
I'm Welsh and I totally agree! It's not advertised as a place to visit yet the flight isn't long and it's so beautiful! The history, food and costs are so good!
I would assume Prague could be featured in KCD 3, possibly the final act in Henry's trilogy. It will be a massive technical challenge.
nah kcd3 will take place in london, england
It will probably be the size of night city from cyberpunk
Prague in the 14th century had around 40,000 inhabitants. Well if you won't recreate it 100% accurate with 40,000 NPCs doing their job (that means 10,000 just drinking or brewing something most of the time). It really was not that big. So Warhorse should be able to kind of do it in another 6 years.
Well we know now that KCD2 will give us an ending to Henrys story so I dont think its going to be the final act :D also it looks like Vavra is doing with KCD what he originally wanted to do with Mafia.. make a 2nd game in the same engine, just bigger, better, more polished to give them the time to prepare either a new engine or a massively different game (like the mafia 3 that was planned to be played from the cops perspective)
already confirmed that Henry's story (or trilogy, as you say) is set just in the lands of river Sasau, castle Trosky and the Royal city of Kuttenberg. As @MisoElEven said, it's more probable that the next project of Vávra and Warhorse as a whole will be either set deeply into the Hussite wars revolving around a different mc (which I honestly doubt as it would still be the same era), or a different time piece of an insanely rich Czech history (something set either arround 1620 or in the time of Rudolf II. and Petr Vok of Rosenberg, which would be nice as a time not so long before the 30 years war, which also strarted in Czech lands, the same as the Hussite wars did in 1420. also both of these wars had a solid impact on the whole european politics at the time) or a completely new project disconnected from the kingdom come series, however that doesn't seem as likely. at least for now
Ma boi henry is back boi❤
I've got to be honest, I passed a lot of the hints you're outlining off as "video game antics". For example Henry getting to swing the sword and everybody just watching felt like character building of Henry in the eyes of the player, not an actual important part of foreshadowing. I always felt the sword was destined for Henry but didn't make the connection Radzig had it made for him too. Same thing with Skalitz getting attacked right when the sword was done. The "liberty" part of the symbolism is blowing my mind right now. Brilliant analysis, love it!
Thank you so much for watching a s for your insightful comment! The deep storyline line and the brilliant writing is what made me fall in love with this game.
What are you most excited for? I can’t wait to explore Kuttenberg
I guess hearing the score and exploring the world they have built. Watching the NPCs go about their business... and getting that bloody sword!

I hope so too!
There will be Kuttenberg in KCD2 and area which we call "Czech paradise". Kuttenberg was beside Prague the most important city in this historic period in Bohemia. There were the ritchest silver mines not only in Bohemia kingdom but in whole Europe. Btw. Kuttenberg has status UNESCO.
Possibly i hope we will see prague
It would be great, but its also sweet to know what's happening around that time that could impact on the story.
probably not, but Kutna hora is nice and many buildings stand to this day, as well as Trosky Castle, they will probably leave Prague for the third part so that they have the best in the end and maybe the Kutnohorsk ossuary appears there, that would be great
@@1981petr1981 well yes, it was the second biggest city in bohemia, 2 times smaller then Prague, but Prague would be better
I hope for hussite wars and prague in the 3rd one.
