Alright Mr Taylor Ray, love the shed, love the boat, REALLY love the bus!! But I'm ready to see that rx 7 get sent! I want to see 1/4 mile Taylor be realised.
Yeah where's SANDY? I lost my sandy goody to my daughter and she wore it to the hospital today for her surgery, it's cold in there, and I was thinking about her
Taylor, some unsolicited advice, when it comes to you electrical bits and pieces, the pack outs, keep them out of direct sunlight, because any air in there will condensate and your electronics will get wet, I found this with my fishing equipment, and camera batteries, with the clear top, just turns it into an air condenser and soaks everything inside, I hope that helps.
@@tmdacr04 yup the reusable ones are awesome, last 6 months in my gun safe during humid ass summer and a few minutes in the oven and theyre back to new again
You could probably mount the lights behind the windshield! I've seen off road truck people mount light bars inside the cab to keep the lights from whistling when driving. Gotta seal it with some plastic/edge trim to not get any glare though
Since you have been so consistent with the posts Ill have to let it slide that you've been neglecting all the other badass automotive projects that are on deck. As always love the content, hope to see that vette out soon, and hope to see something badass get built!!!
Boat Life Tip: throw some re-usable desiccant packs in each of your packouts with tools. Also coat items in WD40. Keep them rust free for longer(unlike when I started throwing tools in marine stuff)
😂hearing 3 6 mafia -late night tip playing was funny. And jibber jabber is a good name for the boat. It used to be a shark 🦈 character in the Cartoon Network animation. Keep up the good work Taylor and stay safe during the hurricane 🌀. - a fellow Floridian
Just for future reference, they make a hot knife for cutting foam, you would probably want to do it outside but there are some cheap ones on Amazon for like $80. I used to work in a body shop years back, for the big hull dents you could weld a tab to the low spot and either clamp onto it or drill a hole in it for a hook and go at it with your slide hammer. You would probably want to heat it like you were doing. Once you get the panel back in shape you just have to cut the tab off and tune it up with a flap disk. Love the channel man keep it up!
I feel like some 1/4 inch hdpe sheet down the sides of the hull would be dope. It would cover the dents add some protection and you can get different colors.
You remind me a lot of Matt from obsessed garage if he was more of a gear head. Your attention to detail when it comes to organizing any and every aspect of your life is incredibly inspiring. Also I hope Milwaukee sees how much you use their boxes and does something cool for you one day
I use that tall pack out box for my mobile wiring tools. I travel for a living and don’t usually have to do a ton of wiring but man it’s nice to have everything in one place that I can take anywhere.
"Engine turning/jewel turning" a jet boat is something i NEVER would've expected....i LOVE it though!! Also "Goof Off" or "Goo Gone" will remove that sticky stuff. Also put Dessicant packs in those packouts(you can get reusable ones cheap)
Love the videos man. I always have. I woukdnt say im an og sub but i remember the old cummins and the garage with the xmas lights and sandy!!! I miss seeing that kitty lol i hope she is still around.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Suggestion: Add another slim Packout, for odds and ends like passenger's keys, wallets phones and drugs??? Mount on top of the engine cover between the rear seats. Can even function as a cup holder with the Milwaukee tumblers. Cheers.
I've been doing mechanic work for 30 years and never switched to battery tools except for a snap on zip gun. But a good quality air tool will last you a life time if you use airtool oil and keep the seals oiled.
Put the air box lid on a hinge with a stay so you just have to open it for noise or close for quiet…. Could add a Bowden cable so you can do it quickly from the dash without having to open the back 👍
Maybe a roll cage. You could mount so many things to it and it would help protect those in the back. Maybe the add a shade. Also you could add some of the roll cage on the side of the boat to help protect front trees, like rock sliders for jeeps.
Larger circles on larger uneven surfaces. And use an interface pads before the sandpaper to get deeper into dents and make the look not dented. I did this a whole stainless jet boat. Took me two weeks. But dang. It was worth it. I did 7inch pad racing stripe even. The diff sizes have suck a cool effect.
Nice to see the 1500 in the garage, i'm hoping it's time for a cage, and some weight loss! Boat looks good, that super tall Packout box is a nice find, now that I know they have those I want to track them down.
If you have not looked into Shark Hide aluminum protectant you should. I have only used it as a consumer and am not affiliated with the company in any way, but from my experience the stuff works are advertised, and subsequently reduces oxidation.
The first thing I do with a new air tool is fill it with PTFE dry-lube and let it sit for 24 hours, the fibre viens and bearings last ten times longer, and you only need to oil all your air tools once a week. This is using them every day as a fibreglass contractor.
It looks like you have room on top of your gas tank to build a little cupboard/box of sorts and still be able to close the lid . Even if the heat from the engine doesn't melt that box . Heating up and cooling down over and over will make the plastic get brittle over time .
I think to get the best results for the machine finish you are going for, you should sand the aluminum to 320 to make the scratches as even as possible before the die grinder polish stage.
If you tig weld some tabs to the outside of the boat were the dent is and then use a nice big slide hammer, you will be able to straighten it out and then remove the tabs
You’ve always been a Milwaukee guy, and I remember when they sent you tools way back when you were wrenching in your garage with your roommate who built that Ram Charger…. Can’t remember his name! All that to say, you could get your name written in Milwaukee-style font and put it on the side of the boat! Might make great merch too! Or get Garage Built Co printed in that font. Stoked to see the shop and all the growth you’ve experienced! I’ve been watching since the Miata was red and ate pancake syrup! lol
If you end up hating the finish. Maybe negotiate a collab with Collette to teach you how to properly paint the boat with an etch primer and marine grade paint. If LZs paint booth is free… and maybe bring a drift car. Tons o content
Bought a garage with 220 and a large two stage compressor. I need to collect a ton of air tools as well, so please please test them out for me first! haha
Hey Taylor don't know how you feel about it but what I did to my boat once I got dents in it and messed up my wrap is I Raptor lined my boat with a light blue color and it turned out amazing!!!
Yea I heard that shit to and was like hold up did i just hear what I thought I heard.😂😂😂 so just for clarification I went back and was like yup oh Taylor ray jammin to some late night tip lmao.
You better name that damn boat the JIBBER-JABBER
With muppet Taylor on the hood lol
SS Jibber Jabber
Would be nice at the back like a big boat 😮
Yes
I hope so
Taylor, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a packout problem!

Awesome for the other guys when riding in a group. They bring beer and snacks. Taylor brings a hundred pound of tools plus he can fix stuff.
I used to be this guy. I carried way to much weight in tools
Where is Sandy we need more Sandy we want the cat

"Engine-Turned" is the description that you are looking for... Old school treatment for dashboards and other metal panels in cars, boats and planes.
Also known as Jeweling.

Packouts in the mini jetboat are the move! I run them in my mini jetboat and will never go back.
While I’ve been here for most of the boat stuff, I can’t wait for more car build and drifting content! 😅
These videos, so satisfying, getting all the bits tidy up and coming up with creative solutions for the actual practical use
I’m for sure coping your pack out setup for my work truck. Love the jet boat as well
Taylor LITERALLY!!! Does everything the CORRECT way!
Inspiration!
Creature comfort suggestion, add some sea deck to the top of the small pack outs so your passengers legs aren't getting destroyed bouncing off of them

They pack out idea is killer!! Will definitely be using that idea!! Great work!!
This dude has what most people make annually JUST in Milwaukee pack-out boxes and accessories.
for real
just have to pay attention to discounts. they go on sale a lot at home depot and other DIY hardware stores.

@@sirmonkey1985 I haven’t found a use for them.
I would suggest Line-X for the exterior, you could also get the Milwaukee cooler and add a bracket in-between the front seats if you can of course

The green and gold matco box ❤

For the adhesive you couldn’t get off, get yourself some 3M Specialty Adhesive Remover 38987. Gets just about any adhesive off with ease.

Love the fab work on the boat. Dont care much to watch you use the boat but its cool to see it wrenched on.

Perlage looks pretty good on the boat. First time I have seen it on a boat.

Add some LED strip lights under the engine cover so that if you break down at night you've got lighting under there.
Add a matching graphic with the channel or garage built logo on the back behind the stomp grate

We use MEK or Toluene at my work to eat adhesive. Work like a charm. Just spray it down, then use a scraper or razor blade to get it off.
Foam tools should go in merch orders!
3m adhesive remover is awesome stuff

On the wavy panels you should try brushed in a "straight" line, (like wood grain)
look at that clean shop. sharp!
21:16 you should sea deck the back it will give you a resting pad plus it will Cover up the back wall because everything else looks amazing
For that large dent in the front, ive used the chief long barrel air hammer to shape metal

kaizen foam sells those foam inserts precut for every size packout just fyi. it saves a lot of time and is a perfect fit
Hi the seat look real nice

Taylor after all that work u could of made ur own window frames. Great content and much love to ya from Maryland❤❤❤.
They’re called “machine turnings”. They come out awesome with a drill press.

Kerosene to take off adhesive on metal. Lighter fluid on paint. Both have worked for me.
You should mount some kind of light in the engine compartment. A floodlight would be handy in case of emergency too under there.

Would be cool to polish the sides of the boat, and leave the nice flat spots “jewelled” like you have it, would give it good contrast and depth.
To get adhesive off like that you gotta try a wire wheel! Or goof off and a scraper
wrap that wavy panel in the rear and it'll look mint
need to get you that Milwaukee Packout sponsorship lol

Stuff some rags in those pack out boxes. You’ll appreciate them if you ever need to do work and it’ll help keep things in place.
Should do another biger packout like you have under the hood as a center council for the front seats if theres room
Airbox lid could be on a hinge. Run a rc servo to open and close it with a button.
You can 3d print latches with labels for the packouts
