Ngl I'm not interested in something like this that doesn't have a screen and requires a membership. The 24-hour tracking is cool but a membership like this is kind of a deal-breaker.
Most people do not realize that there is No upfront cost for the device, you pay for it over time, mainly for the use of the software. I suspect that most finance their watch purchase over time via credit card, or through carriers, so it’s virtually the same in terms of “subscription”. Most carriers the contract is 3 years, and credit cards well that can go for years with interest. If you argue that you or others buy it outright, if you purchase an ultra 2 or 10 series titanium well that’s $700+ dollars. If you were to take the highest monthly term for Whoop which is month to month that’s $30 a month and I believe the lowest is $16.00 which has to be paid in one lump some ( one year term). If you take the highest $30 a month that’s still cheaper than the cost of the ultra and titanium and would give you two years of a subscription cost. When a new whoop comes they will send you the new unit at no cost. When a new Apple Watch comes you have to buy it, and most will upgrade in the two year cycle. Most are not saving money buying an Apple, sure their are outliers that keep their gear 5 years or so before upgrading but that is far and in between with most consumers, that’s why Apple and Samsung release new products every year.
Great review! Would love to see a comparison between a Samsung Ring (or other top rings) and Whoop, considering that they are both "on-body" devices with no screens. I know all the features may not stack up, but it would be good to see a comparison between comparable features.
These devices are fun and all, but I don't think anything compares to the Garmins for health tracking. The Fenix 6 is on-par with the Samsung Apple watches now, and the Fenix 8 blows them out of the water!
I like that it tells you how bad drinking is for you. I could have used that in high school haha seriously though, it's pretty interesting though I prefer a regular smart watch because I just know now not to drink etc. Great review though I love health tech too!
I like the charging mechanism, kind of of like the old apple battery case. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to move the whoop around to let the skin breath.
Dr mike said it best, this devices are not mean to actually improve your health and if you feel like they help go for it but they are not a must to be healthy
Why do we always get incomplete info on these videos? You were going to compare the step count for both the Apple Watch and this thing, and the count between them was way off, but which one is correct? If I missed this part, my apologies but these videos always want me wanting more info, in not a good way.
Everything is a narrated marketing these days ..and life changes 😅..how things are so different then anything else is just to make you want it..😅 thanks for making its worth known
Sponsored, not sponsored. Late to be talking about the 4.0 in the scheme of things. Wear it for 30-60 days and you’ll realize the subscription is overpriced. By that time, you’re locked into at least a 1 year contract with unapologetic customer support.
I like the idea of whoop but their pricing doesn't make sense, an Apple Watch is £300, whoop is £50 + £229 per year - if you keep it for 5 years that's the price of 2 Apple Watch ultras... The data accuracy is also not as good as the Apple Watch for weight lifting, sleep tracking, HRV etc.
The strap in its own right: strong buy. Sinking myself into the next subscription? I’ll pass. You could rather give me the band for free and you can sell anonymized data from customers instead of dragging me into a subscription. It’s enough subscription economy already. Jacklyn: I like how are you deliver the message and how relaxed you are in front of the camera.
Am I correct in thinking that with whoop you need a subscription to use it and that you are unable to use it without a subscription to the service. Where as the Apple Watch you only need a subscription for Apple fitness+
Lol ,it does what every other fitness tracker or smartwatch ,it doesn’t even have a screem so now you gotta spend more time on your phone and somehow it changed this girls life, blink twice if you made this review at gunpoint 😂😂😂
I am so insanely tired of everyone saying something change their life that they used for a few days or a few weeks or a product or a technology thing that changed their life like seriously please come up a better terminology. I found something very useful or something made an impact on my workflow that really helped me become more organized and efficient, but it changed my life seriously such an overused, simple lazy phrase please come up with something better.
And who to say it has not change her life? She has learned some insights from using the device about how her particular lifestyle affects her overall health and she modified those behaviors and she is seeing health improvements because of her changes, I would say that has changed her life! I hope that she has not used the title to simply garner viewers, but let’s give her the benefit of the doubt.
Good video, however not a fan of that clickbait thumbnaik jacklyn. If this thing really changed your life, which is a really bold statement, you should have explained this in the video. How did it change your life? Aren't you living a pretty healthy lifestyle anyway?
And why would anyone wanna pay for something that they can get through so many other different sources that are part of your other product flow seriously why it’s one percent better 3% better has anyone ever run the metrics against other things?

WHOOP WHOOP Jacklyn posted!
@@ShervinShares ahhhh thank you for checking this out!
WHOOP, there it is!
I'm watching Jacklyn's very interesting take on the Whoop 4.0.

Your dedication is amazing ✨
The way u test health-tech...u can review CGMs pretty precisely
Thank you so much 🥹🙏🏻 and that’s super interesting would be a fun video!
Absolutely!
31 days with WHOOP? Sounds like a relationship status update: 'It's complicated' but in a fitness kind of way!
I like the charging mechanism, kind of of like the old apple battery case. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to move the whoop around to let the skin breath.
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.

Good!🙂

Hmm we mentioned it in the video and put it on screen? The Whoop undercounted a lot - 176 instead of 1000
So which is right? MKBHD did this in a short not too long ago and his was over counting. Yours under counting.
@@saulramos79 they’re both incorrect - we set the baseline at 1,000 steps, so they were both off but Apple Watch was more accurate!
WHOOP!
I know that you showed the discrepancy with the step count, have you uploaded the newest firmware (on 10/31) which I believe should help with that.
Everything is a narrated marketing these days ..and life changes 😅..how things are so different then anything else is just to make you want it..😅 thanks for making its worth known
WHOOP-ti-dooooo!
Outside of the massive awful visible branding. It looks pretty clean.

I just wish the next model has a small screen, at least for the time.
Good video
The whoop what a great name......
💯

It's really just too expensive with this subscription business model.

Ah wow thank you so much 🥹🙏🏻 so pumped you feel this way!
It’s all Marketing
The Galaxy ring is simply better compared to this thing
The Galaxy Ring is a companion Device for the Galaxy Watch. As a stand Alone Device it is Not That Great.
"The WHOOP is off-body" 💀
240 dollars for something that has no screen 😂😂😂
☕☕☕📽️😁👍
⌚⌚⌚🎥😁👍
Subscription based ? Yeah, never - and I mean NEVER - happen. Next.

Nah useless I’m not wearing something that doesn’t show time in my hand
