Looks like an epic place. Just imagine all the vessels that have rounded the cape throughout history.

Gorgeous sunset before arriving to Cape Town. The views from Cape Point look beautiful! Good you had time to do maintenance on the Biotrek.

That HS Balls Hot chutney is one of my favorites, great with samosas. Congrats on arrival to a new (old) ocean!

Nice to see others enjoying Cape Town 😊. We enjoyed our 2 months including Christmas in the marina in 2021. My daughter lives there so it was a great family time together. Southern ropes is my best shop in Cape Town. I could spend hours here 😉. We will get there again as we are in SEAsia currently and will be for the whole of this year still…

Enjoy! Too bad our paths did not cross. Maybe in the future!

It must feel good to get the boat looking nice and shiny again. Thanks for the lovely video

It really is! Some minor gelcoat repairs too.

Cape Town and surrounds are some of the most beautiful places you will ever see.. And I don't mean this in some derelict beauty kind of way. It is as developed as anything in the west. I've only got experience of the sea on a cruise ship to Bazarutho Island (also an absolute must for travellers.. especially if you dive). I remember the water was very choppy till almost in Durban. We pronounce Agullhus ... A gull us, or A gull is (like the i in chip)

I totally agree. One of our best stops.

Great video- thanks!! I just got back from warm sunny South Africa to cold snowy North East, US!😢 I need to decide what material to use for stanchions/pushpit, etc. What are your black ones made from, eg aluminum anodized black? Stainless steel powder coated black? Carbon? Some combo of above? What do you recommend based on your own experience as well as from others? Thanks!!!

Titanium. Highly recommended because they are very light and no maintenance.

@@biotreksailingThanks! Sorry if a dumb question but how do they get black? (Paint, anodized, powder coated, vs. something else?)
