I’m so proud of myself that I understood this at all speeds with my eyes close. I’m on level B2 Spanish but the problem I’m facing most is actually speaking. I have no one to practice with so unless I talk to myself I can’t really practice speaking Spanish. I can understand if it’s being spoken to me though, but again that depends on where the person is from. Caribbean Spanish is still like another language when I listen 😂
Thank you for this video Rocky ❤️

I like this hyper-speed technique! It works as promised, making normal speech seem slow by comparison. I often adjust the speed slower the first time I listen to Spanish dialogue on TH-cam or audiobooks in Spanish so I can focus on the words, their construction, and their meaning. Once I have the meaning figured out, I'll return the speed to normal, or, maybe now, to hyper-speed and then back to normal! Great tip!

I was worried that I would be overwhelmed when it came to the hyperspeed portion but I WASN'T and instead ended up feeling ENCOURAGED because I COULD still understand a LOT that was being said! 😁
I'm at work and didn't look at the translations but I look forward to listening to this again at home and writing down any words I don't yet know so I can continue to increase my Spanish vocabulary.

Even though I always scrolled down so I couldn't see the captions and instead just went back 5 seconds if I didn't understand something till I did, I still missed things the first time, such as when the lady at the gym was talking about times she said "de la tarde" to explain that it was in the pm.

Spanish rap music was a great suggestion. In the book the loom of language it states that some languages are discreet, that is defined as separated into it's component parts; such is ingles. Each word is spoken separately but spanish is indiscreet the words are spoken together. Until I understood the difference between discreet and indiscreet I hard difficulty learning Spanish.
