Sinatra wasn't trying to "Help Elvis". Elvis was already the biggest star in the world at that point. also in regard to Elvis's "Dance moves". You, like so many new to Elvis, don't realize that the Elvis's movements / dance moves that was so wild was in his first few years of fame. (1955-58) As a matter of fact after his army days Elvis was tame on stage in comparison. which was disappointing to many. Thank you for the video. we enjoy seeing YOU enjoy Elvis.

  • @Elvista

Elvis was not "modeling" himself on Frank...far from it. And definitely no such thing as "passing of the torch". Elvis was and is always on a different level and this show is no different....outshone and still outshines everyone. Fact is, there was and is only one KING OF MUSIC and that's Elvis Presley✌🏼💯⚡❤️

Very surprised they hadn't seen the young "thin" Elvis before (some would say the real Elvis). They're not aware that before his army service his dance moves were much wilder, and he was the biggest music star in the world. Far from passing the torch, Sinatra needed Elvis to boost his own ratings. They genuinely seemed to like and respect each other. Funny to see Frank introducing his daughter Nancy to Elvis. They did a movie together a few years later, and I believe they dated, but far be it from me to spread gossip.

  • @armandonieves1277

    Elvis was 25 here

  • @MrMakemyday3

the big thing was back in the 1960s. you had no music videos or social media to see the performers on, all you had was their sounds on the radio. when they made an appearance in tv it was a BIG BIG deal to see them live

  • @jennyjorgensen9935

Elvis was the definitive star of this show. Poor Frank had to put up with all of the girls screaming for him. Elvis was incomparable and inimitable. ❤❤❤

Wow if this is the youngest you’ve seen Elvis you need to go back 5/6 years. So many great performances. Elvis was reserved here, maybe because he’d just come out of the Army and this was his first appearance or he was being respectful to Frank. Elvis knew how to move already, he’s holding back. You need to go back and see an even younger Elvis in action. Thank you for your reactions to Elvis love them 💙

  • @StacyMoore241

He’s thinner because he just got out of the Army. But there wasn’t any war. He did guard duty and maneuvers.

  • @stevew7692

The torch had already been passed by this time....this was 1960....Elvis made his name in about 56.... between 1958-1960 Elvis did his 2 yr national service ( no war)...Frank initially criticised Elvis and the rock n roll music but by 1960 he did the Welcome Home Elvis TV Special and I think had one of the biggest TV audiences of that year...Sammy Davis jnr was also there, and they became friends and Nancy Sinatra who made a movie with Elvis in the late 1960s...the side burns came back around 68/69 and we're a fashion thing ....nice review

One thing no one could ever take away from Elvis was his unbelievable voice. He had a magnificent voice and could sing any thing. Right up until his last performance, his voice never failed him. Thanks for the great reaction on Elvis and Frank. 👏👏🥰

  • @bluebuddy46422

Elvis was the fireworks, just look at this gorgeous young man .He was stunning ,adorable ,how can you not love him

  • @Mariethename99

With or without sideburns Elvis was breathtaking ❤❤❤❤

  • @brianwhitney9181

You are right it is just him, no special effects, no auto tune,no dancers, no fire works. That is talent.

  • @betsyjonex9364

He was 25 and fresh out of the army in which he was drafted. It was a boom mike. Elvis never had a weight problem until the 70's. Funny Frank was kind of jealous of Elvis but after this performance and they did a lot of charity work together and became dear friends. React to his story "Elvis Presley King of Kindness" he was a generous humanitaian. Thanks Be blessed

  • @deborahcornell171

    There's 50's Elvis...

  • @Wildlife_SA.

Elvis was definitely the star of this show. He's so humble in his interaction, yet he stands out like a true Superstar. His charisma is off the charts. I love his sideburns, he made them famous! 😊 very nice reaction. More Elvis please. 🎶⚡🎧🇿🇦

The Chairman of the Board, and the King of Rock. ❤

  • @deanmanfredi6416

Elvis moves are tamed hear. Elvis in 56 was monster moves.

  • @williambowmer1675

I believe about 40% of America watched this performance; this was his first performance after getting out of the Army. He sang both sides of this first single after his discharge. His style definitely changed, with a more mature, smooth voice. He was and still is the best!
