What's the difference of eating whole fruit vs slicing it and putting it in a blender with water, then drink it? That's how I make my "smoothie"

Somebody please explain why eating a piece of whole fruit is better than eating a smoothie? What is the actual difference between a smoothie and a fully chewed piece of fruit? Doesn't chewing the fruit accomplish the same result as the smoothie?

Eating whole fruit is generally considered better than consuming a smoothie for several reasons, even though both can be healthy options. Here are the key differences:
      Fiber Content:
Whole fruits contain intact fiber, which is essential for digestive health. When you chew fruit, the fiber remains whole, which helps slow down digestion and promotes a feeling of fullness.
In smoothies, especially if made with blended fruit, the fiber is often broken down into smaller pieces, which can reduce its effectiveness in slowing digestion and may lead to quicker spikes in blood sugar.
      Satiety:
Chewing whole fruit takes time and requires effort, which can enhance feelings of fullness. This can help with portion control and may prevent overeating.
Smoothies are easier to consume quickly, which might lead to drinking more calories than intended without feeling as full.
      Blood Sugar Response:
Eating whole fruit typically results in a slower release of sugars into the bloodstream, leading to more stable blood sugar levels.
Smoothies can cause a quicker rise in blood sugar due to the faster digestion of blended fruit, especially if they contain high amounts of sugar from fruits.
      Caloric Density:
Whole fruits tend to be lower in calories per serving compared to smoothies, which can include added ingredients like sweeteners, yogurt, or juices that increase the calorie count.
It’s easier to consume more calories in liquid form without realizing it, as smoothies can be quite calorie-dense.
      Nutrient Absorption:
Whole fruits may enhance nutrient absorption due to the way they are digested and metabolized.
The process of blending can sometimes break down nutrients and alter their bioavailability.
      Additives and Ingredients:
Smoothies often contain additional ingredients like sweeteners, dairy, or protein powders that can change their nutritional profile.
Whole fruits are unprocessed and provide natural nutrients without the risk of added sugars or unhealthy fats.
In summary, while smoothies can be a convenient way to consume fruits and can still be healthy, eating whole fruit offers distinct advantages in terms of fiber retention, satiety, and blood sugar regulation. Chewing fruit fully does have similar benefits, but the act of blending alters its structure and can lead to different physiological responses.

Because in order to make a smoothie you need more than one fruit, it is more fructose, also when you chew you digest better than when you drink

For anyone else who wonders why Jesse and some other social media influencers pronounce fructose differently than glucose -- apparently both ways are correct. Most Americans like myself and Dr. Gundry say "FROOKtose" -- while many Europeans say "FRUHKtose," which is closer to the old Latin word fructus ("fruhk-toos"), meaning fruit. To my ears, that pronunciation sounds too much like the "f bomb" 🫢😆
On the other hand, the word glucose apparently comes from the Greek word glukus ("glookoos") meaning sweet, and that word was then used by the Romans to mean sweet wine.
No matter how you pronounce it, too much fructose is bad! As Dr. Gundry says, enjoy fruits seasonally and preferably locally, in moderation. 🍇🍌🍎 And steer clear of processed foods that have fructose or high-fructose corn syrup in the ingredients.

Dr Mike is a clueless populist attention-boy. I remember his interview with Dr Gundry. Especially the part when Dr Gundry was questioned why he said apple is bad for health. Gundry especially was pointing out why you shouldnt eat fruits when it's out of season, Mike came up with a video like ''I conforded this insane doctor claming eating apple is bad for you'' It was like an hour long interview where he almost completely agrees with everything he says and then with 1 popular qoute he edits his question and the answer puts on the label, thumbnaiil and his shorts like ''I got him (dr gundry)'' which he did not since he literally answered it very wisely.
Dr Mike, isn't the worst or worse medic out in social media, not at all. But his is so populist. Example: His every answer is ''There's no evidence'' for any intel comes up with something new. He is actually ''retrogressive'' but thinks/acts like futuristic. Because all his knowledge or ideas are based on someone else's research. And again, whoever comes up with something new (research), all he can say is ''There is no research/evidence''.

I've cut out cereals for breakfast. I still like a banana at the end. I heard on one YT video that having something protein-based, maybe even cheese (?) after sweet stuff can lessen a glucose spike. I hope I've got that right. Hey, what about cream cheese? Or is that a big no-no? It is funny how you put down modern, evolved fruits, but what the hell else do we have for fruit? Aaarrrggghhh!

That's a tough one. For those who can, native, unhybridized trees and bushes. Sometimes, the "old" fruits can be found at farmers' markets. But they want to make sure their produce and sugary sweeter products sell, so not always do they carry the more tart fruits.

What's the difference between fruit in a smoothie and fruit that you eat and mulch and pulverize in your mouth and gut? Either way the fruit is pulverized so why is it bad in a smoothie? You say eat the "whole" fruit like you want people to just swallow it without chewing it because pulverizing it is bad.
