The device needs to be connected to the laptop's mini PCI-E slot by replacing the WLAN card. This is also available in Expresscard Version which needs to be connected to the Laptop's express card on the left side. In this video, you will learn how to set up an egpu on your laptop with my advanced step by step tutorial. Now it's time to play big heavy games on your limited GPU laptops. Watch my video carefully and comment below to ask any questions.
Installation requires a desktop SMPS to power the eGPU dock, and a UPS to avoid interruption in electricity. It supports any graphic card that doesn't even matter low or high-end cards. The Graphic card dock has some rules to install on different laptops, below are the instructions:

In this video, I am testing the egpu dock in my Dell Inspiron n4010 Laptop, and installing the Asus ROG series Gtx 1060 Graphic card. I have chosen Rise of the Tomb Raider and FarCry Primal to test.
For a better gaming experience you can use your desktop monitor or your home tv, just connect the HDMI cable to one of your graphic card port and boom. Play games in full HD resolution, I am used my LG 24" IPS LED monitor for that and using Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse to get a desktop feel.

This is revolutionary in my opinion! I've been looking into how we can make things cheaper for people, especially with how the market is for gaming pc builds haha
I'm going to try this out on my partners samsung r530 i3-330m. But I'm planning on upgrading the CPU first and adding some ram and and ssd then im definelty going to add this into my revamped/frankstein laptop set-up. Can you help me with my laptop? I have the model Dell precision1545 from 2009 with Windows 10. I did buy a external graphic card I did put all together but my laptop didn’t recognise the graphic card. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or I need to plug anything else... need some help.

I found this video to be really cool, I actually didn't realise the Wi-Fi adaptor was connected to a pcie slot before this, so thank you for that. And just as an extra info, if you have a USB C port in your laptop, you can get an external gpu dock like the Razer core and the installation would be much easier.

Hello Bro. This is an old video but it is still useful. Because of your trick, now I can play my games on my Macbook Pro 2017 versión. I did have to download some parches and make some adjustments on the case to install the GTX 3070 in it. The Big Sur IOS versión did some help.

Very usefull video! I used the EXP GDC dock on my old Fujitsu Celsius H710 using the Expresscard interface and it worked. Keep in mind that your laptop should only have the intel HD graphics! My laptop only has an integrated Nvidia Quadro 1000M, and I tried to use desktop Quadro 4000 as external but the system crashed in BSOD every time I tried to start a program on the Quadro 4000. I was lucky coz by the time I had an AMD RX550 2GB card and somehow it worked as external, but it reùired additional monitor and it couldnt game for long on the monitor connected to the AMD card, BSOD happened. it only could game when game is windowed and placed on a monitor connected to the Nvidia, but not the laptop native screen. So make sure your laptop has no Nvidia or AMD built in card or you may have troubles :D.
My motherboard doesnt have a graphics card. Can I do this
hmm, interesting after reading your comment I simply disabled the Nvidia card on my rog g55vw which has g660m nvidia card and isntalled egpu 1660 card(note that it little too much for 2012 performance might slow down due to bottleneck i7-3rdgen CPU) but still it worked pretty good just make sure you install ssd. also dont forget to disable auto select like in the video for all the step.
Note - also check the driver details of gpu wether it is ddr3 or ddr4 my motherboard is based on ddr3 so you now what i mean

For combination of good game in very high settings of graphic u need also upgrade ur ram to 8 gb or 16gb good combination of having a high graphic card plus high ram equals high game performance

Tks for the video. Just one hint, if you plug an external monitor directly on the external Graphics Card you get better performance. The GPU sends the frames directly, instead of going back to the note through the mpcie. You have a boost of 60 to 80%.

Warning : Before you guys do this, make sure your cpu won't bottleneck the GPU. If you have a weak cpu, I recommend getting a GTX 1050 below graphics cards.
