    RESIN SAFETY
    Please use resin with care. Any health and safety questions should be asked directly to the company of the resin you use. Read your product safety data sheet (SDS) before using, always wear PPE- nitrile gloves, respirator and goggles or a full-face respirator. Do it in an open, ventilated area- separate to your living spaces. Long sleeved clothing is also advised. Do some research into using resin safely so you can be as well informed as possible to the possible health risks of using it incorrectly.

    I don't get why people downvote a video 🙄, especially when it's full of GREAT TIPS! Also when one considers that there is no actual single comprehensive guide to resin crafting, I feel it's rude to downvote a video and not advise the reason. (Assuming the downvote was about content and not something else like videography, audio, etc.)

    • @LatinaGem856
      @LatinaGem856 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Completely agree. I rarely down vote a video. And if I got something out of it (even if 3 out of the 4 I already knew) I always like the video. Everyone does things differently. Just because you don't do it the same way doesn't mean the video isn't useful or deserves a down vote.

I wish have known this when I started my resin work a year ago where after demolding and excited have to ruin the front during doming - most of my first work had to be thrown away (tip number 4). I’m just starting to use resin and have leaned a lot from you. Do you dome both sides? If only one, then which side? I’m thinking the back side, because the front is already shiny and smooth, but I saw someone paint the resin over the front to make it even more shiny. Some tips please!

    • @SeriouslyCreative
      @SeriouslyCreative  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure how it would work as I've never tried on wood. An educated guess would be no, as I'd worry about not being able to peel it off due to the wood being porous...

  • @els9893
    @els9893 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How do you clean these mats? I have a few from Kmart and with overspill they just look so gross, even if I try and clean it it takes forever or I just can’t get everything off

    • @SeriouslyCreative
      @SeriouslyCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I usually just scrub them with an old nail brush in warm soapy water! They never look perfect though and they definitely look more worn over time

  • @jennifermarie1230
    @jennifermarie1230 ปีที่แล้ว

    But when using painters tape you have to pull the tape off at a certain time otherwise it will adhere to the piece if the resin starts to harden. When do you know that it is not too little time or too much time beacause if you touch the piece to take off the tape too early you're not gonna ruin it because it is still wet if that makes sense.
