Hi all, as you can imagine from my community tab post earlier, it has been a really stressful day 😔. I will reply to you all tomorrow but for now, I need to rest and de-stress. Keep the comments coming and don't forget to thumbs 🥰 Hope you all understand 🙏xx
You could try it in cab molds, creating different shapes by using a needle-tip bottle to give you finer blobs. You would have to have the mold lifted up so your torch could be used to set the blobs.
A wee suggestion, paint on the black, and while it is still wet, wipe the paint off. Then, once the first coat in the cracks has dried, do the same again. It will be a lot easier to remove the paint and decide how much paint you want to leave on. Acrylic is a bugger once it has dried. Love the look though! The blue one was more my taste but the pink one looked like it was glowing!
Yes I liked the blue one much better too, purple would be perfect 😹😹. I think the colours like dark reds, blues, purples and greens will work better for this, I found the pinks, yellows and the pale colours are just not deep or rich enough for this method.
Merci Dan 🥰🥰💖💖💖💖💖💖
Hey Dan! I’ve just finished watching this video while I work on some resin projects myself. I love this idea!! It’s brilliant. When I was getting married we purchased these round discs to put under glasses & they would light up. Unfortunately the night before our wedding there was crazy drama at a family members house & we forgot to get them out. But I have just found them again looking for something else & it made me think if you had a smooth circular cone mould those discs would be perfect. You can turn them on & off & you can change the batteries as well. They would make great little nightlights for kids or on tables instead of candles at events or just at home or in the garden. Thank you for another great video 👍🏼
If you were to do a wash with the black paint it'd get into the crevices, nooks & crannies so much quicker and easier. You just thin the paint out with enough water for it to flow smoothly, but not so much that the paint dissolves (acrylic paint is water soluble). Or, my preferred method - dunk your paintbrush in your water, dab it once on a paper towel, then dip it in your paint and brush it on. There will be enough water in the bristles for the paint to flow. Lightly wipe off the raised surfaces, and do another layer if you want it darker.
With that black it really made me think of the fluid art bloom technique where you use a cell activator and swipe it across your colors and you get this lacing effect with pops of color coming through. I love this! Id absolutely love to see you create angel wings with this technique! I love it all around!! I can use this for so many things! Great idea!! 🤗 💜 ❤️💙💚🩵💛🧡🩷😊🥰
Daniel, the irony of your brand new dish soap/shampoo technique is too much, as I just rediscovered your old vids and thought I should have a go 😂 This is absolutely brilliant, well done!!! 🤩
Where on earth do you come up with these ideas!? So darn interesting and creative. I'll say it again - " you are a genius". Hope you get some rest. Stay healthy. Your beautiful family needs you.
Before cutting the exceeded parts off, it looked like a pyramid with a palm tree. Anyway it's a real pleasure watching your videos. One day I'll try your experiments (when my husband isn't at home...). ❤
that is gorgeous!!!! wow...with dish soap and resin...who knew???........you take care of you Daniel....we understand...jeez....Don't worry about us....and you don't have to answer comments immediately...we love you as you are dude!!!!.....🥰
That coaster is the ultimate forbidden snack! 😂 Amazing results and yet another thing to put on “Cool things Dan’s done” list of things I want to try ❤️
Oh my gosh, another genius technique and result! Those came out stunning! I think that the black definitely finishes the piece off beautifully! Hope that the stresses at the start of this week are gone and that you're having a awesome day and wishing you nothing but joy for the rest of the week!
Your brain works in mysterious ways. Amazing. Small suggestion for the coaster or if you ever try a tray...why not make a silicone mold from your original? Then you could repeat a set of molds fairly easily and be able to add all kinds of fun colors. Still and always a genius idea. Thank you for sharing this, Daniel.
Wow awesome....try removing the paint when its semi dry will be easier and quicker... Your ideas are just awesome....thanks for sharing your knowledge....stay happy, stay blessed.
Incredible! Love the black and love them without. Would look cool with gold too. So many possibilities with this technique. Take care destress and relax.
I love them all with the black. I too prefer black and the intensity it brings to the colors. Thanks for teaching us yet another great technique! I hope you got rest 😊
I think this is the first time I've diagreed with you. I prefer no black...but you do you. To each his own. I also think the pyramid would look great two toned. One side blue, one side red, both cut on the diagonal. Fire and ice situation. I absolutely love the way they sparkle! Brilliant! Also, the growth in your membership is well deserved. You have earned every one of them. WELL DONE!
This is beautiful! I can't wait to experiment with this method, love it!! I was thinking of trying to add tiny pieces of that really thin dichroic cellophane into the sosp right before dropping the uv resin hopefully capturing them inside the scales or in between them. Thank you so much for your videos! You are truly, the king of resin!
Another cool Daniel effect that other resin TH-camrs will give a shot! I'm glad you demonstrated with and without the paint so people can do what suits their fancy! Thanks Daniel. Hugs from 🇨🇦
Excellent advice: start small! I like the pieces without the black. I think another coat of resin on the coaster, to top it off would really enhance the look. The black paint is matte. Another coat of resin would make it shine.
I love this method so much that I've watched this tutorial twice! I am in awe of your talents, Daniel. I'm going shopping tomorrow for a bottle of clear dish soap. I want to make some coasters! Thank you so much for allowing us into that mind of yours! Trisha Texas 🇺🇸
Wow, such a cool idea, Daniel! I'm not a fan of the black, myself, but I do see the potential for it! Maybe another color? I quite liked them without the black, just with the color coming through all over. Eye of the beholder and all that! Thanks for another amazing technique to enrich our art world!
Love this effect, both with and without the black. The coaster makes me think of some kind of oplalised tree burr. Agree with others also gold would look incredible. Thank you for sharing. Hope you get your kettle settled and have a peaceful night 😊
As you were making the Pyramid, I was thinking egg you and I are on the same track. Those are beautiful.Thank you for sharing this technique.I hope you get the feeling better and things get better for you.God bless take care
I love these, the pyramid especially. I like the black, it makes the effect seem more magical, where the colours and the light comes through. I think an inlay out of the bubble pattern would also be cool, and you could use the effect on epoxy reskn, too.

Rest up and recoup. We will still be here!
Agreed! We will always be here for you Daniel. Take the time you need.
No problem Daniel. I totally understand. I've been there myself. Do what you need to do. We'll be here. 💜
Take care of yourself. Your true fans will be here. 😊
Take care of yourself for as long as you need, we will still be here.

@@lilmsmetal I agree. Removing the paint while wet would be much easier.
Thanks, yes, will definitely try that next time 🥰🙏
I was going to comment the same thing but decided to see if anyone already said it first. 😁👍🏼

I love the black on the pyramid
Didn’t think I would ❤
That’s like a tiny palm tree on the side of the Pyramid!! 😊

So glad you found them! Yes, they look awesome lit up, I tried and they are stunning 🥰
Definitely with the black- how cool is that!!! 👏👏
This would make an awesome water effect. Do a white wash and a blue duochome vinyl. Make it look like the bottom of a pool
End product is so cool.
