Thank you for this video I've been trying to figure out how to permanently turn it off on my '06 IS350 and yeah I had to do the brake pedal method which is kind of weird but whatever and yeah it works you just have to make sure the actual dashboard brake light comes on when you do the parking brake twice
Love your videos about the IS 250! I have a 2007 IS 250 and can turn off traction control by simply holding down the button as in your car. Although mine is Right-hand drive so there may be some differences for the UK market.
I have the 2014 is 250 f sport and pressing the button did nothing for me but turning on with the parking brake and pressing 3 time brake and parking brake did the job for me
It took me a few tries but the key here is when you push the parking brake you have to make sure the brake light comes on the dash each time that you press it
Hello ,I made like that video , but its not full turn off trac control , when I make donuts wheel is starting bloke. I think that slip indicator have to turn on , but cant do this. Dose someone know how to turn on slip indicator IS 250 2010?
I just bought my 2007 is250, I tried pressing TRC button and it showed the lil icon on the dash, does it mean that in my car it works by just pressing the button or that way is it still turned on slightly less?
In my 2006 IS250 when I press the TRC button it does the same, but it doesn't turn it completely off. It allows for a little bit of slippage but if you try to put the car completely sideways the traction control will kick in still
While seated in the driver seat, put both hands on the steering wheel and say these words "I love my Lexus". After that, look to the right, then to the left, and nod 3 times. That should turn it on.

I have 2007 manual, and it works just with a button. I believe this was the issue only for 2005-2006 years.
Guys i have IS 250 2006, and after push button “TRC OFF”, i see orange icon same like in video, soo really its issue 2005-2006?

2006-2008 model years were a bit tricky to turn off the traction control

@@rkeow no only for 2006 and downwards I have 2008 is350 and 250 and i only need to hold button for 5 seconds and its completely off

Should a 2011 is250 AWD be driven with trac off in normal conditions ?
You should probably just keep it on while daily driving. The only reason to really ever turn off would be for more aggressive driving

Is vsc off too ? You should scan it with a obd 2 scanner and see what the code is

Speed limit and RPM is set low , thats the reason the light is showing. Plz try to reset the speed limit and tach

Turn off the car and turn it back on or if you have a new Lex come to a complete stop and press the trac control button once.

Just press the Traction control button again, or when you turn off the engine and turn on its all back to normal traction control ON
