And full of faith even if others worship

What are you saying??? This is to make debating less serious, making a side win unlike usual serious debates gives new perspective. Theatrics here are just the supporting caste. They know everyone is here for real *matter*. This happens in every dialogue week. *Once in a while*, this refresher and excitement brings out new perspectives. Good it happened. Just made in engaging for non-news-watching-people.

Secularism in religion is not a sound argument. You can find many ideas and points which is seen as secular in religious scriptures whether it is geeta,quran,bible,..At the same time you will find things that is completely opposite to secular ideas of an modern human being. It is better not to involve religion. Ideas like liberty equality and fraternity came from self conscious mind of human.

There is need to redifine the term secularism. Secularism can not be expected from majority only. Other also has to understand the the true meaning of secularism. Secularism does not not mean practice appeasement policy, allowing others to have their own law. Since independence there has been misconceptions on secularism. Allowing All india muslim personal law board, overturning the Shah Bano case, showing only part of Nupur Sharma and not showing what salmani says, silence of minority on terrorist attack of course will not strengthen the principles of secularism.

India with a Hindu majority has always been secular. As Shehzad pointed out, when Parsis, Jews were persecuted in the entire world, Hindu India gave them unconditional refuge and assimilated them as their own. Hinduism or Sanatan Dharam being the oldest religion in India allowed the progression of so many other new religions like Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism to evolve propagate and co-exist in India…. so I think there there no debate whatsoever that Hinduism is Secular by nature. The real debate is whether other religions like Islam are secular ? Islam started from a small region and spread across the entire Middle East, parts of Europe, Africa, Asia etc but wherever it spread it totally annihilated the other existing religions or religious practices of those regions. We all know the plight of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan etc. Even in Hindu majority Nations like India, whenever or wherever muslims become a majority they get rid of other religions and want their own religion and culture to exit and the biggest examples are the creation of Pakistan and Bangladesh or the state of affairs in Kashmir, West Bengal or Kerala which have muslim majorities. In India, Hindus are still secular and all other religions like Christians, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists etc are secular and co-existing peacefully… so I really feel that the day Indian Muslims become secular that day India will become an actual Secular Country !!

Indian constitution have special meaning for secularism ( Hand made meaning by , collage drop out Nehru )
Actual secularism was practiced by Soviet Russia , China .... They butcher just any who use religion ....
Even though Ambadkar made constitution ,
Nehru added two words in to constitution *socialist , secular*

Ironically, the last speaker, in fact reiterated that as long as Sanaatanis are up and strong, Secularism can't be lost in Bharat.
It's because, every Sanaatani, including our beloved PM, are every moment of their lives aware of the foundational ideology that keeps reverberating in their hearts and minds, despite the differences in their isth devata, pooja forms, etc., very well/aptly put out in a famous, beautiful Telugu rendering which is played/sung during rituals in TTD temple ( Tirupati Balaji temple)
' Bhaavamulona bhaagyamulaanulu, Govinda Govinda.... '.
What the sanaatanis sing before their deity, echoes secularism in its most beautiful form.

He was just scared of Hindu revivalism which would have been dangerous to his brand of politics and hence he opposed Dr Rajendra Prasad when he wanted the Somnath temple to be renovated. And Riju Dutta when you say that how can citizenship be based on religious lines you need to remember that partition happened not on any socio cultural or economic lines but purely religious lines. So the response to the same has to be on religious lines
