      Dr Shashi Tharroor Honest was questionable, it appeared he was trying to protect Nehru family and their wrong doings. Shahshi Tharoor may have protected Nehru family but he has lost voters today. Atleast I will never vote for a liar who conceals facts.
      Rajdeep Sardesai is a clown and he comes out clearly a slave of Nehru family which is more and more evident. If Modi has got so much support today it is only because of liar media which hunting Modi and due to total distrust in congress party. Nehru and his family has been authoritarian and followed cancel culture from the very beginning even before independence. If he was not appointed by British he would have never become Prime Minister. Now we know where Rahul Gandhi gets this brains from.
      Vikram Sampath in my view was fabulous he came out with his facts in an articulate manner despite the other two intimating him. Very impressive.

I couldn't dream of such a job if I knew no English. I consider my language skill as that of power, that of independence, that of education ...everything positive. If you think English is not freeing you from bandage, I guess we need to talk about mental health. Not colonialism.

    • @draxZz__
      @draxZz__ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      @@bluej6127 Either you aren't from India or you have no idea about the reality of India. It is a privilege to know English in this country to the extent that people equates intellect with English (which also reflects the hangover). Forget jobs and interacting with Western world, majority of people in India can't even afford basic primary education, also the reason why Govt of India had to come up with Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan and free mid day meal for students. To make it mandatory for an advocate to communicate and articulate his arguments in English which he wasn't comfortable in shows the colonial mindset of our system which isn't the case in European countries. Bdw the rule that states it is mandatory to communicate in English was setup by the English themselves to narrow down the flow of Indian barristers in British India. Stop assuming that every Indian has the same resources and access as you have. What does mental health has to do with this debate? I have nothing against speaking in English, obviously it is a global language and everyone should learn it if they can afford. I gave you one example of the colonial lens that we are subjected to look through.

    As an NRI, and an American whose ancestors come from SW India (Malabar), I feel so good watching these thinkers/philosophers/historians openly discuss their differences, and express their opinions publicly. India is an open society despite all the bad things attributed to a great land. So those who consider these as debates with winners and losers, don't forget there are ideological nations surrounding India where such discussions are held in contempt and participants shot or maimed over their thoughts. Keep it up. It takes me a while to get to these YT videos, but they are so educating.

      @Khyalo Ki Duniya there have been papers that say a person is born into a wrong body hence they should transition to the other gender/sex. Or even better, some papers suggest there are as many gender as many there are people on the planet. Would you believe that? You can’t take every study on face value. You need to know the political motivation of the person who performed it, you need to look at how they quantify stuff and reached the conclusion. Then only you can believe a study in this day and age.

    Vikram Sampath is very right when he says "For the kids in school the story of her country is shown as a third person as of it belongs to some other nation" I always thought about it whenever I reflected back on the history I studied in school (NCERT) It clearly created my thought process that "British were good for India & Mughals were even better" simply based on the information in the textbooks glorifying British (indirectly) and Mughals Directly as well as most of the teachers doing the same. Later on in life I found out about the reality and about the barrage of misinformation it was I was shocked & felt sad for the younger ones still studying the same misinformation in Schools. So proud of Vikram Sampath for shedding some light of truth about our "Pyara Bharat" & giving a befitting reply to the "Brown Angrez" monopoly in the country and creating a bright hope for future generations.

    What an eloquent speaker, Dr.Sampath! You can see in his dialogues that he truly has no political motivations and honestly wants Indians to acknowledge their history, move on and build a better future. Dr.Tharoor, you have finally met your match :) let's not forget that the reason why history is getting politicised today is because as Dr.Sampath says, we haven't had closure. Even German students learn in detail about the atrocities of Hitler and the holocaust, it only helps them to come at peace with their past and not hold it against anyone. And if you support denying the truth to Indians, you are only risking the future of this country further, from more grave polarisation or communalism. And if the history of my country has to rely on such shaky bandaids, then you're also underestimating the constitutional secularism. INDIA has always been a pluralistic country, we have always accepted people of other faith and differences. So trust your country with its true history!

      @@visaAVTS You seem to be a classic case of a brainwashed youth in school and college via NCERTs and other audio-visual media. Tell me ine example of 'hate against muslims' or imposing Hindutva on others. FYI, hindutva is a way and philosophy of life according to supreme court, not that it required SC's validation but there it is. If you think calling out radical islamic jihadis in the open, making them bow down to law and making the younger generation aware of iur glorious past and historical achievements in science, philosophy, medicine, public administration, Political science, democracy et al 'imposition of hindutva' so be it. I can only pity your mindset. In a desperate attempt to come across as 'modern' and 'secular' you are wllillingly ( or may be you are afraid ) to whitewash so many atrocities conducted upon the non-muslims and even muslims of the country in the past in so many ways ! That's strange to say the least. And when the correct narrative was brought out in the open by scholars like Vikrama and J Sai Deepak and so many intellegent others, they were immidiately targeted by the so-called 'intellectuals' for no reason. Clearly they can't stand on their own in a debate as it was crystal clear here in case of Tharoor, a convict no less pending full investigation, so they propogate false narrative employing the same ecosystem they have developed over 70 years by the crooked money they looted and scammed. You think calling out past injustices is wrong ? Lol, you are some character my friend. The root cause lies in the fundamentals of islamic philosophy, unless that is reformed no culture or education or anything can bring substantial change. Have you not seen 'educated and wealthy' muslims in UK and elsewhere calling out for death of democracy ? Or demanding beheading for whosoever leaves islam ? These should not be called out in the open acc. to you bcos it may create a hostile environment ? Educate yourself first honey and then put your arguments.
      As far as constitution is concerned, Indira gandhi declaring emergency was upholding cinstitution, right ? Scams in lakhs of crores was upholding the constitution, right ? Cons like this Tharoor attract folks like you just bcos he speaks fine english and wears a Rolex. The reason is bcos you are still colonized in your mind.

      @@visaAVTS Islam isn't a Race. You are preaching baloney using all sorts of whataboutery to divert the issue of the topic. Tharoor is a fraud because he himself is guilty on regularly hating on the British in both his books and speeches. So it's not really about Forgive. Tharoor is desperate to sustain the Marxist Jihadist Mythology where Gandhi is Jesus, Savarkar is Satan, Godse is like jews, Brits are Pagans. Stop shamelessly inverting reality. Muslims are the most racist and oppressive people who continuall6 commit crimes against humanity and embody hatred. You seem to be welfare-baiting prospective abdools into bs. His own party hates on Hindus regularly on fictional Aryan Invasion that never happened, polemical attacks on so called Hindu Casteism, celebrates festivals for Ravan and Mahishashur after demonizing hating on Hindus gods etc. And shut in on climate outrage, Muslims of Middle East continue to be worst polluters

    26:58 I agree with Shashi Tharoor on this that what muslims did 500 yrs ago should not be repaid by the now muslim population. But he always forget same point of view about Hindus. They have spent whole life demonising Hindu caste system (which is bad and fading quickly) of past and that sin is put on us (Now Hindus). This shouldn't be like that. Either both were wrong or both are right.

    Vikram’s way of healing these “wounds” is by using proper methods to heal. Tharoors way is to leave them
    Be and they might heal. Problem with tharoors method is they would become infected too. So acknowledge the truth of our history instead to distorting it to make you feel good and accept the real history, heal and move on.

      If you want to open up the mediaeval era then you would have to be neutral in your approach and understand a thing that not all battles were between two religious beliefs. The history of clashes between north eastern tribes and how the present day north east is the way it is will tell you that not all battles were religious. India is a multi religious, multi ethnic country. Anyone trying to talk about past clashes is filled with malice
