Two of the greatest singers that ever lived. This song brings back a lot of good memories. Music today just don’t compare. Please play more George Michael songs. Keep doing what you’re doing.
they don't make uplifting songs like this anymore. keep digging in the archives, lizzie, your heart will be lifted up! don't let life get you down. there is positivity out there.
Two of the best to ever do it! Please react to more George Michael!! His later records are SO amazing!!! Incredible passion in his lyrics and vocals!!! Suggest Praying for Time, Waiting for the Day, Kissing a Fool, Cowboys and Angels, Mother’s Pride, Different Corner, Father Figure, etc.
I swear every single song of George Michaels is just so good. Just when I think I love one song the most I hear the next one and I love that one the most
This is one of the greatest performances in my 60 years of listening to music. Another DYNAMIC DUO!!! RIP Aretha and George you brought so much enjoyment to music lovers.
Kissing a Fool is my all time fav GM song! Beautiful Jazzy song and his vocals and range is PERFECTION! What control of his voice and range he had. sigh RIP sweet George.
Man I miss this two!😪 now they're both singing this one in heaven! May both of them Rip 🙏 they're definitely missed!👋😢👉❤ I bet it gave you chill sweetie!👌😘👉❤🙏
George was/is my idol and I love him. I also love Aretha. This song is amazing. I remember it well when it was released. So thanks for listening to this.
Found you channel by chance, George Micheal was my childhood idol, fell in love with his voice when I was 10yrs old when Wham, in Bad Boys/Wham Rap, had the pleasure of seeing George Michael in concert in 2006 & 2008 both Wembley Stadium. Listen to, Different Corner, Jesus to a Child, she has been loved, careless whisper, Freedom, fast love, these are just a few of his top 10 hits in UK
Thank you for doing this song Ms. Lizzie. The Queen of Soul and one of the smoothest characters of the '80s: Mr. George Michael.. monster hit for both of them. Incredible for all time. RIP to both.
This song won the grammy for best duet, can't remember 86 or 87. If you want to see a great duet check out George with Mary J. Blige "As". It's my fav. George did duets with Smokey, Whitney, Stevie, Queen, Paverratti, Beyonce, Ray Charles, Garth Brooks, Elton, etc. etc. etc. Can't remember how many. Pop singers back in the day were good, but always looking for the great producer or song writer. George did it all with his songs, wrote, sang, produced and did many of the instruments on his songs. I'm 71, I'm still a big fan of his. There will never be another George MIchael. I also love Aretha. I remember an interview I saw where Aretha said she introduced George to "soul food", fried chicken, yams and corn bread were his favs. He would eat at her house when he was on tour for his "Faith" album.
spot on . I loved how you described the video. one of the best duo song's ever for me. And Marvin in the back was just a good touch to whoever put this masterpiece together. Great reaction.
Aretha owned this one ! Wow that voice! I mean George can sing awesome ! And they sound phenomenal together 🔥👌 but Gurl Aretha killin it ! Love your vibe Liz ! Keeping it Real ❤️😊
For me, his most beautiful duet with female participation was "this is not real love" with Mutya. This song ist great and it's his own, not a Stevie Wonder cover.
I'm loving seeing all these people finding and loving the magic of George now. Try his ballad A Different Corner for an underrated one of his. And Monkey from his Faith album, I've never seen anyone react to that one - the extended version is one of my favs.
My gosh, I just love your reactions, Liz! You give outstanding perspectives on the singers and the music. I mean every single time! And your love for the music you listen to is very appreciated. I'm a deep lover of music as well so I kind of know where you're coming from. And I love your paunchy attitude that you put on display sometimes, LOL. I've said it before, you are fantastic at reactions! And I agree with you about Aretha and George, by the way. I always look forward to seeing your reactions pushed out. Here's to your next one! 🙏🙂❤️
You hit the nail on the head!...No one could out duel her..George didn't try too..he sang a perfect compliment to Areatha..to me,this duet is one of the all time greats!..I'm also very impressed that you know about Tammi and Marvin, for someone so young!!
Try, WRAP HER UP w/ Eton as well. It's a lot of fun. Note: that in the beginning all the way up to see George, George is the backup, he sure could hit those high notes.
Aretha makes everybody look good although the boy can sing I like everything the queen does great song great reaction✌💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 love the shirt should have got a matching one for little man haha you look lovely😘
@@michaelageorge7517 that was not meant in any way shape or form. To say anything negative about him I know all the crap he went through with the big boys making his own career and all that good stuff I know all that all the respect in the world for him just not his biggest fan
This song was ICONIC! Aretha's resurgence and George on top of his career. Want another iconic duet? George & Elton's 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down'. Oh the 80s!
On pop charts, her 80s return started with Blues Brothers and her #1 R&B songs (Get it Right) in 83, she went on to have much success throughout the 80s with multiple charting hits, even as this was first pop #1 and she had already been singing for decades.
@@mic1240 You forgot her monster hit, Freeway of Love in 1985, her biggest hit in 12 yrs. I have the 12 inch LP version. It's amazin! All of this, and what you mentioned was her resurgence.
of course, they have met in person. George flew to the States for joint studio recordings. Aretha also sang this song live on stage with him during George's Faith tour.
Not true. They met and recorded when George M flew to Detroit to both met her and record. Here is MTV interview where Aretha discussed the song, how came to be and their Detroit meeting. th-cam.com/video/TPksBRJZQR4/w-d-xo.html
You are the only reactor that notices the couples in the background, excellent job! Marvin and Tammi, Sonny and Cher, Tina and Ike, the famous singing duos in history. Only Tina and Cher are alive.
we will never have this kind of genuine talent anymore, i miss the 70s and 80s . i grew up with the most amazing music in history , in my opinion :) . loved the reaction , you really can't go wrong with any song from Aretha or George !

Heck Yha I'd love for you to do more George Michael. Fact: Believe it or not, Aretha at first didn't want to do this song with George but she did, And this turned out to be her first hit in 20 years. It sure looked like she liked doing this song to me. I have to say, They defiantly made good music together. George did a lot of collaborations with iconic artists, you need to check them out. But 1st and foremost, George was in a league all by himself, perfection! As you get to know & experience Georges music, you'll be amazed at what your seeing & hearing. I would love to see you listen to STAR PEOPLE, He put the FUNK IN FUNKY. Thanks, I enjoyed your reaction.
Actually it was George Michael who was too nervous to do this collab with Aretha. When Aretha's people approached him about this,, he was nervous about singing with the legendary Aretha Franklin whom he admired as a child - of course and he was also used to producing his own music, he was apprehensive about being produced as well - being such a perfectionist. But Aretha's people and GM's manager was persistent. He flew to Detroit to record this with Aretha and the rest is perfection history. :)
George Michael one of the best male voices in all of history❤
I agree 💗

This was George Michael’s transition period between his “boy band” period with Wham and his solo career. Thanks, Aretha (RIP).
george was HUGE by this time! he didn't have a transition period, he was just on fire...hawt on fire
Love you George …. Legend!!! RIP❤️

What an incredible voice from Aretha, amazing! Can't forget my lovely George, they both have iconic voices, love them so much!
"I knew you were waiting for me," is what Aretha said to George when she went to heaven and saw him. This song is magic. It's untouchable.
I read he was surprised that she was a fan of his and her sister wanted to meet George that also helped
I was impressed that you knew Marvin and Tammi.
