One of the greatest performances in my 60 plus yrs listening to music. Two iconic singers, one of those songs that is perfect from start to finish. Sadly both have left us, God bless you both of their souls!!
Mel, you look extra beautiful today!! I've loved your channel since the beginning!! Your both so positive and always have a smile 😊 on your faces! Makes my lonely days better.. much love ❤
The world's loss is heavens gain, 2 great and legendary vocalists. It is said when filming the video Aretha had a large entourage with her who she kept looking at so they got George to stand in front of them so it appeared she was looking at him.
You should react to If I Told You That by Whitney Houston and George Michael...also try whitney houston and enrique iglesias Could I have this kiss forever
The song is not that great, but the voices (especially Aretha's) are. I can't tell if George is holding back out of respect for her or if she just dwarfs every voice she sings with. Both are possible. His voice still sounds nice, just so small next to hers.
George was a HUGE Aretha fan and wanted her to shine. Also, he said in an interview: I was nervous. I knew that Aretha would get the melody and then take it all over the place, which sounds great, but the thing also needed tying down … I just tried to stay in character, keep it simple. It was very understated in comparison to what she did.”
George's voice is like velvet and Aretha gives you goosebumps before she even gets out of first gear...❤❤
One of my favorite duets of all time! Those two voices together, pure gold!
They slayed this song together. May they RIP.
RIP to these two beautiful souls.
This was a #1 hit for the dynamic duo, as well as winning a Grammy for Best R&B Duo or Group ❤❤
Two of the greatest voices ever, never get tired of listening to this incredible talent!❤
The number one song the day I was born in ‘87!

One of the best collabs ever.
Love This So Glad This Got To No1 On Both Sides Of The Atlantic. Aretha & George's Voice is Pure Solid Gold. R.I.P to Both Aretha & George
I love in the video when Aretha did a "run" with her voice and George traced it with his fingers.
I think I read that George Michael was such a huge fan of Aretha's and was so excited to do a song together
So good!! They are a great pair.
I had forgotten how good this song is.
I concur that it's very uplifting. So glad they got together to record this. It was released back in 1986. Remember like it was yesterday.
MASTERPIECE ❤ UNFORGETTABLE DUET ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks, that was a Dynamic Duo!!

Another Collab you would really like: Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney (The Beatles)
The Song: Ebony and Ivory Released: 1982
This was 1987. Aretha was 45 and George was 24!
