Aretha was such a fan of George’s that she wanted him to write and produce an album for her. When George met Aretha he was barely 21 and was so overwhelmed because Aretha was one of his idols. This duet gave Aretha her first number one in the UK of her career. And she rose to the top after being off the charts for many many years. This was a dream team. I love this!
