Michael Bolton is an underrated vocalist for sure. People know he can sing but many don't know how great he can sing. He sang opera with Pavarotti and did NOT embarrass himself in the least!! He also wrote most of his songs and hit songs for other artists as well. Very talented dude.
@cjason123 Yeah, but they can be mutually exclusive. There are people who become big stars who aren't that talented, and conversely, there are people who are really talented who never become big stars. The entertainment industry isn't a meritocracy. In the music industry specifically, Madonna and Taylor Swift, for example, became huge stars despite having relatively average singing voices. Michael Bolton is one of those artists who became a big star AND is a great singer (along with being an excellent songwriter). In music, one can become a big star without having a great voice.
I saw Michael Bolton in the 80's when he first hit the big time. It was in a small venue. He came out in the crowd and was singing directly to different women. They were melting. A great show. "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" by Michael Bolton is one of those songs that ignites emotions. I'm old enough to remember "Walk Away From Love" by David Ruffin. His vocal skill when singing the lyrics take the listener to a place of complete understanding of emotional trauma.
Michael Bolton is another one of those Vocalists that even when they are trying to sing softly, there is so much power in their voice that is just goes through you and hits you with such a force you feel all the emotion behind it. Oh, and Lizzie, you are right, during the 80's (and part of the late 70's, early 90's too) the instrumental was just as important and presented as such, as the vocals. Every decade has examples of this, but it just seems during the 80's there was more of an emphasis placed on the instrumental part of the song. Good Ear, Darlin'!

Howar Jones is both s great artist and a very nice guy. Phil Collins plays drums and sings background vocals on No One is to Blame. Thanks for sharing this and for what you said. You are right on. You're talking about my life with my marriage. I had to admit the same thing. That it is my fault not hers. We assume something will go a certain way, but in the end we were wrong. It hurts so bad. Just to say it's good to know others understand and have gone through this, also. God bless you!
You found yourself another winner young lady...:) Keep it up as your doing great with your choices so far... Here's one from a guy with a deep soulful voice by the name Larry Graham and the name of the song is: "A One In A Million You" Quite certain you'll enjoy it...:)
Great reaction. Not sure what this says about me but even though I haven't heard this song in at least 25 years, I just sang along to the whole thing and didn't miss a word. Maybe it's because prior to that I heard it about a half a million times on the radio!
If you're looking for another Michael Bolton song, my favorite song of his is, Said I Loved You (But I Lied). It's unique & beautiful. Should have been a bigger hit, but boy bands had taken over the airwaves at the time. Lol. Happy listening. Take care. xo
Superb reaction as always, Liz. Your focus on music is unparalleled. Keep doing what you're doing. And by the way, you look better than the girl in the video so he could certainly have been singing directly to you.😊 Here's to your next reaction! 🙏🙂❤️
This is my first time watching one of your reactions and I truly enjoyed it. Your calm, smooth voice is very soothing.Just a little advise from a child of MTV & a former DJ, it’s always a better experience with the video and headphones. You can wear them upside down so they don’t mess up your hair. A few more songs you might like: “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Home Free, “Voodoo Child” by Stevie Ray Vaughan, “Bed of Roses” by Bon Jovi & “We Are Love” by Il Volo, an Italian operatic trio (there are 2 versions, Italian and English).
He burst on the scene like a cannon...then fell out of favor amongst accusations of "trying to sound black" Such a shame, glad reactors are bringing him back to appreciate his my talent
A yearning... yes yes, very good! A reactor with A VOCABULARY! Perfect word for his voice. How sad is it that Im shocked by that? Not shocked by you but so many of these reactors cant fully express themselves because they simply don't have the vocabulary. I've noticed that and it's fairly common.
Thanks for another great reaction, Liz! In keeping with your 80's theme why not try "Alone" by Heart or "The Power of Love" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood? And if not this week, certainly add them to your list for some day!!
Wow… Wasn’t sure you got it… Not gonna lie want to push Teddy to the side… But when I made it through your reaction and heard you on the other side, I discovered you got it. All love, peace, JoJo
Spot on! ❤ Oh...I hear you say you like strings. If you want mad (& just!) strings....listen to a little Mantovani. Great for contemplating, reflecting, daydreaming, relaxing after REALLY stank day. Let me know what you think. 😁
Hey Liz, since it's decade of the 80's week that you're reacting to, would you please react to a song from REO Speedwagon-- Keep On Loving You which was one of the biggest hits from that decade. As always, great job on your reactions to these classics.

You found yourself another winner young lady...:) Keep it up as your doing great with your choices so far... Here's one from a guy with a deep soulful voice by the name Larry Graham and the name of the song is: "A One In A Million You" Quite certain you'll enjoy it...:)
Thank you so much 💗🙏🏾
Great reaction. Not sure what this says about me but even though I haven't heard this song in at least 25 years, I just sang along to the whole thing and didn't miss a word. Maybe it's because prior to that I heard it about a half a million times on the radio!
Awww that’s beautiful 😭😭😭
So many choices here... My two favorites..."I said Loved You, but I Lied" "Missing You Now".
Love your reactions , gorgeous Liz.
Thank you so much 💗🥺
@@lizziethegangsterhippie9291 love your reactions -you’re just perfect.
If you're looking for another Michael Bolton song, my favorite song of his is, Said I Loved You (But I Lied). It's unique & beautiful. Should have been a bigger hit, but boy bands had taken over the airwaves at the time. Lol. Happy listening. Take care. xo
Please reaction to Michael Bolton - Steel Bars

Said I Loved You But I Lied is a good one!
I gotta listen to the whole thing soon 😭💗
Michael Bolton, o mais romântico cantor da minha geração e um dos maiores de todos os tempos.
Superb reaction as always, Liz. Your focus on music is unparalleled. Keep doing what you're doing. And by the way, you look better than the girl in the video so he could certainly have been singing directly to you.😊 Here's to your next reaction! 🙏🙂❤️
Thank you so much 😭🥰

Thank you 💗💗
Believe it or not, but he put out an album of opera called "My Secret Passion". He performed one of the numbers on the old TV show The Nanny.
Whoa really?
But as usual loved your reaction
Thank you 💗
This is my first time watching one of your reactions and I truly enjoyed it.
You need to be singing voice go the distance Spencer Elliott Lewis because I love Michael bolton voice go please forward 🙏

He burst on the scene like a cannon...then fell out of favor amongst accusations of "trying to sound black"

Check out Michael's "Soul Provider", "I Told You I Loved You But I Lied" and "Can I Touch You There". Pure Bliss!!! :-)
If your going to try Michael Bolton maybe try “ fools game “ just a thought ✌️
Michael Bolton with the Lonely Island, "Jack Sparrow" is pretty great.
A GOOD TUNE
Yes he was singing to you. You need to turn around and slap Barry lol. He made a snide comment. He just jealous😂❤
I felt this way when I lost my dog 🐕 ...😭
You have heard Mikel now you need to here his cover of when a man loves a woman by home free. Which a cover from Percy Sledge.
Thanks for another great reaction, Liz! In keeping with your 80's theme why not try "Alone" by Heart or "The Power of Love" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood? And if not this week, certainly add them to your list for some day!!
Thanks so much! And I will 🥰

Michael Bolton.... When a man loves a woman.
Spot on! ❤
Oh...I hear you say you like strings. If you want mad (& just!) strings....listen to a little Mantovani. Great for contemplating, reflecting, daydreaming, relaxing after REALLY stank day. Let me know what you think. 😁
Very powerful voice. And yes he does look a bit like Fabio from the romance novels😂💙x

Try from an 80's movie, Eddie and the Cruisers II, "New York City Song".
Great song classic. ✌🙏✌🙏 request PMJ Creep, Disturbed Sound of Silence
I bet a lady would like being sang to like Michael Bolten would sing to them.
If you haven't already checked out Soul Provider by Michael Bolton you should do so. It is fire 🔥
Deep song
Laura Brannigan recorded the same song a few years earlier and hers was equally powerful. I suggest you give that a try and make a comparison.
SORRY ITS Glenn Medeiros - Nothing's gonna change my love for you.
Thank you 💗
Now react to "I said I loved you, but I Lied"
Hey Liz, since it's decade of the 80's week that you're reacting to, would you please react to a song from REO Speedwagon-- Keep On Loving You which was one of the biggest hits from that decade. As always, great job on your reactions to these classics.
I did a while back it’s up on my channel 🥰
