    Really hope they bring these to the UK market, it's the first EV/car I've ever been genuinely interested in!

    The original Citroen 2CV had 9 Horsepower and was so spartan that at that time it defined what was only really necessary.
    This Ami is brilliant because it defines what a fully electric car only needs.

    I'm old enough to have gotten over caring what people thought of me by what I was driving. At this part of my life, this would be almost perfect. It would get me by the side streets to the shops, and a quick run down to my nearest pub.
    What more can you ask for?

    I would change the Ami seats with the classic 2CV spring-loaded bench seat, working around that hand brake. What fun! Safer than a scooter.

    I love it. Apart from the safety aspect of getting shunted by a "regular" car, I absolutely love its minimalist approach...especially the plug for recharging. Its minimalism is so Muskish...it belies belief.

    This design is really ingenious, if they made a slightly larger car version with longer range and able to do motorway speeds for around 10 grand I'd buy one tomorrow

      Yep that's the main killer argument against EVs in most of urban mainland Europe. But, car sharing is pretty big here so that's where the Ami will be deployed.

    • @YesAutoUK
      @YesAutoUK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good question! In the UK you're allowed to drive quadricycles at 16, and we're expecting that to include the Ami. You can be as young as 14 in France. But we don't yet know whether the Ami will be coming to the UK - Cam

  • @vaughanellis7866
    @vaughanellis7866 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Something tells me that if its on sale over here the Government will not let it have the Quadracycle designation and they'll want to treat it as any other car!
    If you don't like the colour you could always get it vinyl wrapped!
    Even though I live in rural North of England I'd have one, as most of my journeys are less than 20 miles radius and if there was a 3 pin charge point in my closest city (36miles) would be possible.

    Maybe at last, a major supplier is listening to what people actually would like.
    Just one quite serious question.
    What is it like on some of the steeper hills?
    If they have cracked that one, then they have a genuine winner here
