    I did all this with a new motherboard and it never gave me a steady HOME position, everytime I hitted HOME it moved right to the center but if I hit it again it moved like 10 mms. to the front and to the left so everytime I hitted HOME, no way to have a permanent HOME position besides the endstops switches inverted or not PHISICALLY OR IN FIRMWARE never stopped the motors from moving, replaced drivers, compiled firmware more than 50 times and never worked so I assumed it was a damaged board and I returned it. It was a Geeetech Spark mobo. I think this is the only video I have found someone doing a clear explanation of how it works, most of the super wise guys assume that you already know the very first steps and they are completeley wrong, what they call for begginers is really for mid wise knowledge intuitive people. Thank you.

    So far the best explanation of the bed calibration. Should be added to Marlin documentation. Thank you.

    This helped me tremendously. Had some homing and travel issues after upgrading firmware and this helped me to tweak the firmware to resolve those. Hadn't realized that a couple of mods that I added affected my travel limits.

    In my case X_MIN_POS is 6.5 mm (i.e. the nozzle is 6.5 mm on the right when auto homed) and the bed size is 235. However my X_MAX_POS is 239 which means the printer can go that far. With these numbers I get an error creating the bin file saying X_MAX_POS doesn't match with the printable area. If I decrease the printable area (because when auto homed the nozzle is on the right a little bit) I cannot center the nozzle. If there is not a wrong logic on Marlin, I couldn't grasp this.

    Excellent video. My printer locally built in Aus ... turns out home is back right . Have spent days trying to set offsets to center bed . Is there a link that can help. Thanks

    I followed along in the video to get my printer centered (Anet E16), It worked perfectly but I don't understand why it was so off in the first place. Build volume is 300x300x400 and i found that 235x235x400 works best for the printer, but now its the same x and y as my ender 3 in cura. Would you know why it's not able to use 300x300x400?

    After modifying the code how do you load that back into the printer to update it ?

    • @Zemistr3D
      @Zemistr3D  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just build the firmware and update it in your printer.

    Good video but I've got a problem. Just installed a BTT SKR 1.4 Turbo with TMC2209 drivers and a BFT35 touchscreen (updated BTT firmware with new icons). I followed your instructions to the tee and don't have the "Release SD card" option on the 12864 screen. There is an option on the touchscreen, however, nothing happens when you touch it? Any ideas?

    I think that you should have changed the minimum X and Y values corresponding to the endstop values, so that when you are located at the origin, you are in X0, Y0

    • @Zemistr3D
      @Zemistr3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      X0 and Y0 is where your print bed corner is.

    hi can this be used to set up a corexy as well thanks

    Just move the endstop to the correct position. If you can not move the endstop then you have a bad designed printer.
    I just need to unscrew 2 screws on each endstop to move it anywhare i want, even to the correct positon.
    This way the X and Y home position is ALWAYS 0.
