I was talking about that the other day Tony looked confused that she was pregnant because it wasnt near his birthday. From what I heard is they tried to have a baby but had a miscarriage. So Howard ended up adopting Tony for her. In the alternate time line he doesn’t get adopted by Howard this time he is born into slavery or poverty making him doom

In the comics A Doom variation did a body swap and become Tony Stark in college and another comic he took the mantle of Iron Man when the real Iron Man was in a coma
I think it is the opposite, Doom is a variant of Stark. His motivations would be he is jealous that Stark is in the prime timeline and wants to destroy it.

Nah, there's nothing sympathetic in there, I think it will be Doom's solution to the convergence, and we will sympathize because all he wants to do is save everyone but he's gotta crack a few eggs to make that omelette.
My idea I had was that Tony-Doom was just about the same as Tony-Iron man at least uptil the end of Age of Ultron. There Tony stayed in Sokovia and helped rebuild it with his iron man bots and took scarlet witch under his wing and got interested in her magic. That means everything in that world that took place after that never happend. No civil war, no spider-man mentoring, and when Thanos came, Tony became Dr Doom and effed Thanos up.
Of course, I dont think they will go that route. Instead they will have Doom coming from the FF4 verse is what I think

Making Stark a variant of Doom is such a cop out. Honestly, variants themselves are. Everything is a variant these days. Doom deserves to stand as his own character, his own legacy, and the writers need to be able to write a compelling story for it or just not do it. It would be better if they don’t even acknowledge that the characters themselves look alike because they’re played by the same actor.

First off saying variants is a retcon or cop out is wrong because in the comics different characters came back because of the multiverse. The multiverse is way bigger in the comics and i can see why marvel wants them so “dead” characters like iron man dead in one universe we can cast the actor to play it again for money.

Peter Parker in this timelin, can't catch a break. He lost Uncle Ben, he lost Aunt May and then lost his mentor Tony Stark. I wouldn't be surprised if he joins RDJ's Dr Doom at this point.
Wait- Did you just stumble upon the reason they cast RDJ at all? If Doom was a villain who just showed up, with less build than Thanos had- Any "sympathetic" part of his character would be hard to sell. It would just feel "odd" for ANYONE to help him out during his first appearance UNLESS he looked like and, in some weird way, WAS another version of an older character we're all familiar with... Maybe? Spiderman has unwittingly helped out a villain from "another universe" in the past, so-... I guess recognizing his face/other hackneyed details (Doom unknowingly quoting Tony) would be enough to have Spidey willingly make what COULD be the same mistake he's made before... (Holy shit this is BAD. Fell apart as soon I pieced it together).

No the main comics timeline starting in the 50s-60s has always been 616 (616 meaning the main and original timeline), marvel just changed it to MCU being 616 because the movies got crazy popular @@timsimpson6019
The MCU is supposed to be Earth 199999 according to Marvel Comics but in the MCU itself the call it 616 which is fucking stupid.
I love it! I went back and watched scenes from Iron Man 2 and it all makes sense. The child Maria Stark was pregnant with died, either through miscarriage or some other way when he was very young. Howard adopted/stole/acquired Victor Von Doom from Latveria's royal family (we'll get that information later on I assume or hope), and named him Anthony Stark. He grew up as his son but Howard never felt that connection with him. That's why Howard went from "He's not even here yet and there's nothing I wouldn't do for him" in Endgame to "He was cold, he was calculating. He never told me he loved me, he never even told me he liked me." as Tony describes him in Iron Man 2. Howard calls Tony "his greatest creation", perhaps he meant he created the Tony Stark persona by merging Victor and the son he hoped to have into Tony Stark, the nature and nurture combination that was pointed out by Josh in the video. I liked that the Sacred Timeline had the ONLY Tony Stark in the Multiverse and now he's dead. That's why Victor won't be able to find himself in the 616. I'm curious to see if the 838 ever had a Tony Stark or only a Victor Von Doom.
Here me out, the doom stark doesn't get kidnapped so he doesn't become iron man, he keeps going down the dark path of making weapons, he finds out that he's adopted and that people close him knew, this leads him to stop trusting people, and he decides the best way to feel safe in a world where he doesn't trust people is to have control over them
In the comics is it not the story that Tony starts is not really Howard starks son that the watcher after being contacted by Howard gave them the technology to have a child but he did so by placing a genetic clock in his genome that Howard investigated and removed however doing so crippled his son and in order to fool the watcher adopted the Tony stark we know. We then find out that the watcher did this cuz he wanted Howard’s real son to don the celestial armor but Tony wasn’t able to which he then finds out he is not the biological son of Howard and then finds his brother beneath the tower.. I feel like this is aligned with where they are headed as the guy Howard adopted would have grown up to be doctor doom instead of iron man and the reason Howard was so cold to him was cuz he knew the truth

When Tony meets his dad in Endgame, he was surprised to hear his mother is expecting. This may be a little clue that can help your theory that Tony is actually adopted by the Starks.
I went back and watched this scene recently. It’s VERY weird looking back at it now post doom announcement. Another thing that pairs up with it is why he had to die in Endgame. Maybe Dr strange saw him “turning evil” and made sure he died then BEFOREHAND so he killed two birds with one stone defeated thanos and evil “Tony” not realizing it’s not actually Tony.
Who was surprised? There was no surprise. The father didn’t know how far along she was by months, only by size. That’s no indication of adoption.

I can believe RDJs Ironman as Doom on the premise that when he said “I am Ironman” at the end of the first movie he was borderline Schizo and had PTSD acting like Doom actually would. If that’s true him saying “I am Ironman” was accepting his roll in Starks place if they went with the comics version of how they switched places….it would also explain his self centered nature, and why they look the same. It doesn’t kill his achievements as Ironman it just makes you wonder how much more and further the real Tony Stark would or may actually have gone…

To undo the ironman trilogy by saying "hey, this was Victor Von Doom you've been rooting for since day one" is just insane. He's just playing a brand new character. We should be blaming the casting department for that. Is the script going to acknowledge that Doom looks like Stark? We don't know. I hope the characters recognize him, because if they don't, then Marvel Studios has retconned the face of his first hero.
Theres a story in comics where Tony is adopted after Arno Stark, the biological child of the Starks, is born messed up & hidden away. Endgame prgenancy problem solved.

Take some pretty strong gymnastics to explain that Tony was adopted after his father in end game literally mentioned his mom was pregnant with him. Unless she was having entanglements with Dooms father. The stretching will be wild.
If you watch the scene again Tony looks confused and keeps asking questions, because it doesn’t line up with his own birth date. There’s a whole bunch of stuff on TH-cam where people thought it could be a mention of Arno Stark, Tony’s messed up brother. But now with this theory, it kinda answers that question. Plus the Russo’s made both films so they might’ve slipped that little Easter egg in that scene for this plot line now

Even without the supposed adoption storyline (which I personally do not buy) there has always been a fully open door for a recast of Iron Man (or any other character) from a different universe.
Remember the three Spidermen in the last Spiderman movie? All looked completely different. Or the different-looking Loki Variants in the Loki series. If 10 Tony Stark Variants suddenly showed up, each played by a different actor, no one should be surprised.
In the comics Mistress Death brought Thanos back to life and charge him with killing half the population of the universe (Thanos Quest Part 1) when he got the Infinity Gems he did it in a single snap to impress her.

This right here. In the comics, tony being adopted was a plot point several times, with the best known version of this story being him as an alien... or genetically modified clone made by aliens? One of the two. For the MCU, it makes 100% perfect sense to make him a DOOM variant instead. It harkens back to the comics, it serves the narrative purposes of setting up doomsday and concluding the multiverse saga, it's perfect. Though, I will say they could reverse the direction of this, and make DOOM an adopted tony. If I recall, DOOM also has some versions of his origin story where he was adopted, so they could easily swing the opposite. In fact, one one-of multiverse story was a case where they... was it a body swap or being swapped at birth? I don't recall, but I do know that they finished with a green and silver iron man suit, a red and gold DOOM suit, and birth-tony as DOOM winning.

RDJ will make history playing one of the greatest heros and then the greatest villain. He will out due Thonos He will just have the same face as Stark because he is from a different Universe. Totally agree! Robert Downey Jr. will be an unforgettable Doctor Doom even after Avengers: Secret Wars. He has the charisma and presence to bring the character to life in a unique way, just as he did with Iron Man. 🔥. And I'm still sad that Jonathan Majors lost the role of Kang the Conqueror, but he got new opportunities in Merciless and Magazine Dreams, but of course I want him to be Kang the Conqueror again.

I like this a lot. People wanted Ironman variants in MoM and Deadpool but that never happens, leading credibility to this Doom theory, it will punch the MCU in the gut and that's what Infinity War did but this will be almost worse because it will be harder for fans because we knew infinity stone magic (time travel) would bring back those snapped out of existence.
It's setting up to have the celestial in the ocean will be the god killer suit. He's gonna find out he has a secret brother. It makes sense why he looked confused in endgame when his dad said how far long his mom was.

Makes perfect sense. In Endgame, the elevator scene with Howard and Howard (lol) Howard tells Tony his wife is expecting and this confuses Tony. If it’s April 7th when you’re speaking to your father in the past and you know your birthday is a month away, it wouldn’t take a genius to figure the rest out. But instead, “Tony” seemed a little more than confused. I would be too if I was born January 19th 1970 and hear that my “mother” is expecting me to be born May 29th 1970. In this time line, she most likely miscarried Tony, then adopted Victor a short time later and raised him as Tony Stark. If miles morales from Earth-42 is a variant of spider man as Prowler, then Earth-616’s Tony stark is both a variant of Victor Von Doom and Dr. Doom the moniker. Instead of having his “spider” taken to another dimension, he had his upbringing upgraded by the Starks. Variant Doom will probably resent Tony Dooms upbringing too.

This is what happens. In an alternate time line during the battle of Sokovia, Ultron is defeat by Tony sacrificing himself to destroy him. The Avengers never recovered his body and Tony was actually alive with amnesia. He stayed with an family who kept him hidden from others while he recovered. He gains an little o memory of his past but decide to stay with his now new wife and child. Thanos shows up. Does the snap. Tony survives but becomes angry his new family was snapped away. He decide to reveal himself. Using his resources and knowledge becoming Doom and preparing the earth from alien invaders. Becoming mad with making a shield around the world. He meets Kane, steals his equipment and in Avengers: doomdays he travel to the timeline of the fantastic four to battle them and now faces off with the Avengers.
Dr. Doom is going to be a dope character, we (as fans) are all going to root for RDJ even if he's the "villain"... completely different dynamic than the MCU.

I really like this idea. That moment in Endgame when he questions his dad about how far along his pregnant mother is. He got a vague answer
Our Tony stark was a clone/son from Dr Doom in other universe. Howard Stark and Reed Richards thought if they were able to raise him, he could be a hero of some kind. Some technomancy and bam, they stranded Dr Doom in Reeds universe and 'Tony stark"(as a kid or sample or whatever) in our main universe. Doom finds this, and fights for his son back. but has to destroy our universe to undo his death.
EDIT: In first avengers movie when Tony went through the portal to space, That is when Doom was able to track him.
One thing that studios don't get (AND DISNEY REALLY DOESN'T GET) is that when fans figure out the overall plot points and they seem satisfying, you DON'T have to scrap it and make something way worse. Several people have pointed out that fan theories sometimes can be to blame why movies turn out bad. This is because the studios think there won't be any interest in a movie people figured out. It's the OPPOSITE. Fans love to be right. Fans love to see the stories they know on screen. Nobody will hate the movie if RDJ turns out to be an alternate version of Tony from another universe. They will hate the movie if that was a good script and it got tossed for a lousey one, just because people figured it out.

I personally love the comic reasoning behind thanos as I believe it is a great representation of how far men will go for love
It makes sense, even in the comics, I think Tony Stark was revealed as adopted, and Howard Stark's biological son was catatonic or something.
Although there are other stories where Doom swaps consciousness with Stark, and Stark turns Latveria into a Silicon Valley of medical technology.
The man just said multi-universe because he wanted to avoid the word "multiverse" due to recent hate towards it, I think. But I am totally on board with this storyline
