@@perpetuality I have seen this watch for the very first time in your video and fell in love with it. Perfect size and a beautiful watch. Can it be used with a brown leather strap? I think it will look perfect on this watch. Is this option even available with SEIKO?
I’ve been hunting for a Seiko 20mm mesh bracelet since I bought by 5 (SRPE51). Honestly just as excited for that bracelet to become available as the new 5s rolling out! Great update of the watch on behalf of Seiko too.
@@perpetuality I just received my watch today!!! I totally love it! Thank you for assisting with this fantastic purchase! I am looking to buy a diver at approximately the same price or up to 250USD any suggestions? 40mm case size.
Impressed indeed. Great video man. 😁 When you mentioned lumed numerals that reminded me of another great 'Orient' watch... The Orient Flight Pilot version 1 n 2... Would you think that a comparison of this SRPH model n the Orient Flight might be possible? 😊
I'm considering this cream dialed rather than the black dialed one.. although still waiting for Citizen Forza NJO180 the white dialed available in my country..
@perpetuality at first i'm impressed with the black one till i saw the cream.. Btw have u seen the Citizen Forza Mechanical NJO180-80a ( White Dial ) ? If the SRPH21K1 is Classic, the Forza is more Sporty & Modern
I’m a huge fan of this watch, I just don’t know when I’d wear it if I’m honest. I want one just to have a Type B in the collection but if it won’t see wrist time I can’t justify it.
I would be interested in taking it, after a month for both aesthetics and usability, would you still recommend it? I have other Seiko and this Milanese knit model is missing from my collection, thank you
It has 100m with a push pull crown, so why make the hand-winding option harder, by adding an unneeded screw-down crown. People go on about screw-down crowns like they are deep diving everyday. You don't need it!
I am glad they are doing the flieger dial on these watches now, the dial they came out with on the new field watches was boring and a let down (SNK was better looking). They did screw up not putting crown at 4:00 and sinking it in the case like SNK. Also, should have bead blasted the case like SNK. Could have kept the bezel polished or brushed, but case should have been bead blasted. Also, why is this watch so thick? My dressKX is noticeably thinner. I am fine with the price of these watches. I just think that Seiko threw out some of the cool things of SNK. I don't have a problem with change, and like the 20mm lugs and the new size, and 4R movement. Just should have kept the crown the same, bead blasted, and kept the watch 2mm thinner.
The black one of these pops and looks sick but i already have a hamilton khaki field black face 38mm (i know not a direct like for like one being a field and this a flieger.) Ordered this to mix things up. Hope the quality is ok.
I always loved the SNK with polished case mods and domed crystal mods. This beauty made my dream come true without the fuss of modding which is too intimidating for me. Almost sold it after the honeymoon period - so glad I didn't. This thing looks amazing on variety of leather straps and wears like a great dressy diver for those business casual ocasions.
Good review but 99 % of your audience doesn't care about lume and water resistance. It's about size and finish. Hamilton may have the prestige, but the massive lug length is a deal-breaker for me.
Just no:( the size just NOOOOOO seiko it shouldve been 38 size and 47 lug to lug bare minimum and still needs to be way thinner like a old seiko 5 is 10 thick I have an SNKL41 and also dream of getting the snkxs79 dial and handset for it which is the most popular seiko 5 mod of all time I'm waiting for seiko to come out with configuration on a modern seiko 5 but still retaining the size but maybe just make it 37 to 38, same thickness and lug to lug distance You know seiko is saving the dam snkxs79 dial revamp for very last 😠😒 and also forgot to mention the most best and most popular seiko 5 modable case is the SNKL41 case it's way more luxurious and have multifinishing beautiful finishings and strong lugs, like ... but .... no others dont
Not sure I can agree with this when there are so many watches in different genres..from divers to pilot's watches and even dress watches that have 48mm lug lengths. But lug to lug length shouldnt be the end of all measurements. The distance to the endlinks is more important IMO.
After watching this review three times, I finally clicked the button, and yesterday got my Seiko. I love it.
So many watches look amazing on a straight end mesh. This style watch wasn't even on my radar until I saw your video with it on the bracelet.
It’s really a striking combo with that white dial! Thanks for watching

Is it wrong to buy a watch for the bracelet? because i think i did that! thanks for watching!
Sometime going back to the basic, simplicity and where it all began is not a bad thing……
Well said my friend!
I just bought SRPH23K1 and i am in love with it 😍
I also agree, wished they came with a no day/date variation
That would make it a Seiko 4 😊
Love your video! In fact, because of this video I bought the exact watch online last night! I am in Guyana, South America.
Shane congrats on the new watch! If you have received it- how are you liking it so far?
@@perpetuality Thank you for your reply! it arrived in Miami yesterday from Dubai. I should have it in Guyana next week!

Another great video! Your wrist size and mine are the same so I can trust whatever you recommend !
Keep it going mate. . !
Thanks again Daryl!
Just bought this as my daily, excellent quality for the price. I'll keep my jaeger-lecoultre polaris for weekend only now the prices are increasing.

The cream dial has it's own charm that I think the black dial does not! The green is also great if you havent seen that option!

This watch is beyond my expectations
I like the blacked out version
I cannot abide 13+mm thick. I wound up getting a SNZG15J1 the other day and am loving it. SNZG15J1 is arguably the "big little" brother of this one.
Where can I buy this watch? Is it already discontinued or is it releasing in the US market soon?
You can find them online- if all else fails your local seiko boutique should carry them too because they are in North America as a regular release
I love it, but i'm not sure about it because i find it a bit on the big size
When winding this type of watch does it turn forever or do you eventually get to a point where it stops turning?
I’m a huge fan of this watch, I just don’t know when I’d wear it if I’m honest. I want one just to have a Type B in the collection but if it won’t see wrist time I can’t justify it.
Ah the modern problem to watch collecting.. we know it all too well

The lug-to-lug on the old versions of these was perfect. Now it's too long, so SEIKO can keep them.
can a nato strap be fitted to these?
Anyone know where I can find a replacement crystal glass for this watch?

Nobody, nobody, owes anything. A matter of taste.

Looks good!
Eu só não sei pq no Brasil só tem esse modelo com caixa de 36..4
Berny T2566 homage of the SNK805. VH31 movement so 20 times as accurate as this watch. Quarter the price. 😮

No day/date and no ugly 5 logo would make this watch perfect.

48mm lug-to-lug is hardly compact by today's standards.

39 mm 👎🏼
Why?
