Neon Glow Lines - Glowing Effect Photoshop Tutorial

- This is a fast Photoshop tutorial where I will show you how to create neon glow lines. This is a simple glowing effect which can be used on any type of line or shape.
I first start by using the pen tool to create the path. Then I adjust the brush setting to create a curved and tapered effect to the line. Then under the blending option, you can adjust the color or strength of the glow.
I used Adobe Photoshop CC for this tutorial.

Oh wow. I learned something completely different. I didn't know you can 'simulate' pen pressure. Thank you very much for this!
Awesome. I struggled a bit at first but then realised I'd done it wrong and as soon as I re-watched the steps, I'd done it within a few minutes. So simple yet looks amazing

For some people it is hard. But I make my Photoshop tutorials easy to learn by going slowly and step by step.

I still can't select stroke path even thou i already selected path while select the pen tool
I found this on Adobe community forums
"Hi! I had the same problem but I think I've solved it or at least found another work around.
First go to your Direct Select Tool and change it to Path Select tool (It's the white arrow just below the text on the tool bar, black arrow when it is chosen as the path select tool) You can hit shift A until you get to it. Now, use the Path Select Tool to individually select all your paths, holding shift as you do so. Then at the top you will see an option to COMBINE. Make sure you have the last button for the path behaviors selected (Exclude overlapping shapes, it will look like two shaded boxes joined at the corner. Make sure only that button is selected and keep an eye on your path selection tool as the arrow sees to jump back to white.) That's it, you ,might have to do it a couple of times to get all your paths but it worked for me."
FUCKING FINALLY!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how you mirrored the line with pen tool on the right side… I don't know, I think I need a tutorial about how to use pen tool
Follow the instructions exactly.
when i select outer glow it effects only erased areas ?!
What version do you have?
I've done absolutely everything the same, but for some reason fill path and stroke path are grayed out. (Edit for those with this problem: I had 'shape' chosen in my pen instead of 'Path')
Thanks Brad for letting us know how to fix it!
Help me please, after i click OK ( 1:33 ) my line gets 80% transparent, i mean i can barely see it, i tried everything, please help me.
It creates a line according to your brush settings. So go back to the step at 0:45 and make sure the brush "Opacity" on the top is set to 100%.
It almost worked in my time but now I have no idea what to do at 1:51 ;.c
actually nvm I noticed I didn't click the thing properly :3
bro how to swrile brush make
I will make a video of that.
WHY I CANT SELECT THE STROKE PATH?? IN 1:29
When you first select the Pen Tool, make sure on the top "Path" is selected. 0:27
ver cc 2021
i have no control pressure...how can i find it?
Window > Brush Settings > Shape Dynamics > Control
i dont have the Control: Pen presure setting...
Hi, what version do you have?
@@photoshoptutorialsbylayerl1447 its CC 2019
In the Brush Settings panel, did you click on the word "Shape Dynamic"? Do you see the other options "Size Jitter", "Minimum Diameter", etc?
Song name plz...
Lol. I didn't put songs on a lot of my earlier videos.
i have got queastion i copied you but result is different than i expected. Colours are wrong when paths cover ech other.it looks like overlay but both layes are normal.
Change the color picker on the bottom left.
this doesn't work . Every time I select the brush tool, it shows the circle with the line through it. And it won't let me use the Stroke Path - says I need to rasterize the line...
click on a layer then do the pen tool lines, after that create a new layer and then right click and click stroke path
So basically, outer glow. Ok.
i did every single step still the stroke path is gray i cant select it
Hmm, what version of Photoshop do you have?
@@photoshoptutorialsbylayerl1447 sorry there was a problem in the setup i downloaded again now it works
Cool, I am glad it is working for you now :)
