Just watched Shin Lim this Thanksgiving with my daughter. Definitely love him. Invited to stage to perform with his associate and, as an amateur magician myself, I did my best to be cooperative and it worked LOL...... As for this TV moment, it's not all cameraman's fault. Shin was supposed to palm that card while he picked up the marker, but this is definitely an one-time trick, and a move he hadn't practiced so he missed it the first time, and had to reach back again. Hey, in the end, he is human!!!
Literally the best slight of hand Magician I have ever seen. He said he was going to show them how to do the trick but didn't have enough time. Clearly the card in his pocket altered the color of the signed card, but it was still cool to see. I'm not a detective, I'm an enjoyer of magic and have seen him do too many tricks to care about one thing that no negative commentor on here can do.
God, this was a total mess 💀 From the camera crew not getting the close-up shot that Shin wanted at 2:50, to Shin messing up the trick right after that (whatever happened to the signed card), and then to the interviewers ending the trick early because they ran out of time, so Shin couldn't even recover or finish his trick. Not one of Shin's proudest moments 😂
He did say in the beginning “I’m going to teach you how I did that” 😂 By the way I’m a magician and I still have no idea how he managed to locate the ace of spades and clipshift it to the top, so so amazing
I bought some magic props during one of my teenage summers many years ago, and I got to say, magic is really just about practicing very difficult hand skills repeatedly and also using tools that an outsider simply could not have imagined. For example, I had this prop where I ask you to put your chosen card into a deck, and I can telepathically make your card move upward and jump out from the deck. It turns out there is simply a rubber band between two of the cards, your card was placed on that rubber band, stretching it, and that's why it can jump out from the deck, LOL.
Watched it twice. You can see him place a card in the deck and then he slams the deck down. The red card that was inserted obviously was a sticker and he slammed it down to make sure that the card stuck in top. So, when he found the red card, it was the two of diamonds on the bottom and the red card on top.
2:50 It is meaningless that Shin Lim added a card to the bottom of the deck because Shin Lim still caused Morgan's signed card to turn red from being blue when Morgan originally signed it before Shin Lim's magic. Shin Lim wanted you to think that his magic had something to do with telling the cameraman to do a close-up of Morgan's signed card. Shin Lim's misdirection was to make you think that his magic had something to do with requesting the cameraman do a close up. That was the misdirection. The misdirection was the pretended misdirection.
Morgan's signed, blue 2 of diamonds turned into Morgan's signed, red 2 of diamonds. It was the same card. Shin Lim shewed Morgan, and said it is the 2 of diamonds that Morgan had, and Morgan agreed.
Lol shin needs to practice his slight of hands on this trick more. I think we all seen him palm that red card. The confusing part is how did he find the 2 of diamonds tht quick
Ummm. If the effect is something that shouldn't be possible then it's magic. Not in the actual witch wizard sense but in the come parlin sense that it is an illusion made using subtle techniques that may be hard to catch or understand without learning or scrutiny
2:56 😂 Camera man is not falling for misdirection when the host was signing the card. He can see Shin picking something from his pocket hahaha

They invited him to the show, gives him 90 sec. Waste of a legends time. Shame on you NBC

Watch his right hand at the 2:54 mark......I think the camera was supposed to cut away....
How did he pick the 2 of diamonds so quickly tho
2:51 The camera man had one job and failed miserably lol
🤫 art is expensive,,, and we can't do it without feeling nervous ,,,, but I felt comforted 😎

I enjoyed it 🤷♂
Well, Let's go and watch Shin Lim in Vagas. Love it
I saw it at LV. its fantastic!
He did say in the beginning “I’m going to teach you how I did that” 😂
By the way I’m a magician and I still have no idea how he managed to locate the ace of spades and clipshift it to the top, so so amazing
Isn't it possible that they agreed on the ace of spades beforehand?

Shin is amazing magic.
Amazing con artist.

Yep, got that, thanks! But how did he do the first part of the trick, with the ace of spades?
2:51 oof the camera didn't switch to the close-up shot that he asked for LOL
That was funny where his hand was going
they did him dirty for that one.
@@ivaerz4977 obviously just an itch 🤥
David Blaine would never
@@sheshehangVTz 1:16
Lol clearly caught him swapping in a card.
David Blaine would be so disappointed
Because they rushed him so he didn’t even do the trick her was intending to do
I enjoy the 'spectacle' of magic - even catching the card mid-swap 😁 didn't take away from the trick (for me at least)
crazyyyyyyyyyyy~
we been tricked the whole time, thanks to the camera man
i dont think this is the full clip cause he hasn't teach them the trick as he said in the beginning.
Who noticed his hair changed???
At 2:55 😂
He said the producers got the cards from CVS or something, he just said the same thing on the Tonight Show, Hmmmm! why CVS?

a little flash :)
easy red magnet card added on top
bro we got 90 seconds before we gotta get back about why the Democrats lost! Get to it Shin!
He pulled the card from the couch, not magic
double backer then double lift !
this bloke needs a haircut
Slight of hand. Not magic.

He did find the 2 of diamonds fairly quickly
Oh really?
He's just yet another con artist. 🤡
Maybe you should copy him then and become worth millions 😂🤦🏽♂️
