    In my case, it seems that the middle part of the assembly is the one leaking the oil, not the oil separator that has the membrane, do you happen to know what that part is responsible for?

    Guys need help please,I have Mercedes Vito Euro 6 diesel, and getting heavy greyish/bluish smoke from exhaust, I’ve changed DPF pressure sensor and cleaned the DPF filter, this lasted 1 day with no smoke, Now it’s back, I get a strong smell of oil aswell as smoke from exhaust, could it be bad PCV Valve?

    I see some oil under the oil pan (oil leak), it is not leaking when the engine is running if I am not mistaken, is that caused by a bad PCV and do I need to replace it? I see a little bit of oil on the PCV

    Hi, I have a problem with my Mercedes C220 CDI 1999 and your videos have been quite helpful. In my car the oil separator is dripping oil and water, the car is working perfectly and it does not overheat (the temperature is normal). I would be really thankful if you could point out what the problem could be! Thanks in advance!

    Can you give a link for that additional oil catch can. I just took apart mine PCV and the membrane inside has cracks all over it(I noticed it by the oil leaking around the turbo charger from the tube connected to the PCV ). So I'm going to change the tube and the valve itself (the membrane has a little different working here with positive pressure in the membrane itself and so with the cracks it is stuck always open) and I was thinking of installing that additional catch can but can't seem to find any around my area(Bulgaria).

    Hello friend, I'm asking for an explanation, it's not this topic, but I need help. I bought a w211, 2.2 with 136 horsepower, restyling, everything is ok, consumption, does not emit clouds of smoke, the engine works excellent, there is no grease around the engine, but after driving, I noticed that the oil was coming out in the place where the dipstick for measuring the oil level was supposed to be, there is a red cap that is not original, and it does not seal tightly and nicely, but I don't think the oil should be coming out there, what a problem is that my friend Is the oil vapor separator broken, clogged...that's why it's leaking, or something more serious?, thank you in advance my friend.

    Hi, i have a question about a later 2004 MY C220 with 110kw
    The separator looks slightly different as it is one piece with the oil filler neck. I was told it should be replaced as a maintenance item and supposedly the rest of the PCV system should be replaced aswell in time. That isnt exactly cheap (90€ VAICO rep.part) so i was wondering if that thing is built like the one in your video which i suppose can be visually inspected and cleaned as necessary, perhaps replacement isnt necessary. I cannot find sufficient info online, only that ignoring these can lead to major engine damage, and as all diesel owners i expect that thing to run for at least a million kms (its a sprinter engine after all isnt it)

Where can i clean carbon deposits and make sure the engine is getting enough air because i feel the car is very slow in 1 and 2 gear, but if you accelerate at maybe 100km/h it is really fast.

Be sure you are able to throw those fluids after in the correct sump. Remember take a long hot drive to clean the white smoke after doing it, about 10 miles up to 80 mph.

    Hi, great video! You mentioned that other oil leak problem can be turbo leak as well. Is that easy fix like changing some turbo gaskets or requires turbo rebuild? I ask because 1 month ago i removed all plastic hoses, intercooler and egr, cleaned them very good from oil because it was leaking outside the plastic hoses as well under the egr valve on a small connection where there is some small sensor all covered in oil and now everything is dirty with oil again like i never cleaned it!

    • @doit_vehicles
      @doit_vehicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand, the oil leak is most likely from the oil separator so installing an oil catch can would have been great after the cleaning . The turbo can leak but it shouldn't be a massive leak

    • @doit_vehicles

    I can see that the hose in my car is all wet and the oil is going down the pipe (when i unplug the hose i can se oil dripping) . It is leaking quite a bit. Could it be the orings or the valve itself ?!

    • @doit_vehicles

      first double-check the oil level to not be overfilled and then inspect the valve and see if it's clogged, etc ..

    Hey, i have the same engine on my Benz, some mechanic told me it burns too much fuel because of this separator, is it possible? Runs too rich, or could it be an injector or something?

    • @doit_vehicles
      @doit_vehicles  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's possible that the intake valves are full of carbon build up which is also cause by oil leaks inside the intake . The carbon on the valves will restrict the air flow therefore making the engine to run rich .
