    Dude... you nailed it. The beat you play for the Stackwitch is so 80's electro "fresh" that I want to pull out a slice of cardboard and start breakdancing. Great demo. If you want a more crispy sound you really gotta tighten down the wing nut HARD. That will reduce the resonance significantly and give them a more "clicky" tone. Nylon tips will add to this effect. Thanks for the shoutout... P.S. I wanna see an RDAVIDR 16" floor tom snare conversion !!!

      +LanceCampeau Cool, ill have to try that. That ft vid is on its way though, I just ordered like a million drum parts, mainly to make that snare! Also, Im waiting on a break dancing vid ;)

    At 4:19, it looks as if the cymbal nut is moving because of the reflection of the cymbal on it.

    I like them as a *tiny* set of hi-hats. Seems like it would make a great accent to the regular hi-hats. I would mount it right next to regular hats.

    • @LanceCampeau

    Duuuude those things are sick. I personally love the brighter sounding bell and I think I'd even prefer it over a smaller ride cymbal. All the modes sound great but I just love them as bells most. PS. The bacon bologna stack which sounds/tastes fantastic, good idea adding the extra meat!

    Great video man. I really like the stack mode. I play a low volume kit at church and am always looking for interesting low-wash type sounds to add to my setup. That "CLACK" on the stack mode is very cool. I've got an extra hi-hat stand I am adding a home-made skekere to (basically you take a kids apple-shaped apple juice bottle, drill a small hole for the rod, then drill a hole in the cap for the clutch, fill with marbles and assemble - iI'll post a video) might be interesting to throw down some felt and stack a couple cheap splash cymbals underneath it. Thanks!

    I would probably use them as bells. In the music i play, that would be the only real applicable setting. They're just not loud enough used as hats. That is only because they are 6" cymbals. Love Lance's work.

    Hey David, I love your videos. I just was wondering if you record your showcase/demo portion of your video once and just improv the drumming, or do you mess around on the kit a bit until you find a beat that isolates the instrument you're showing off, and then formulate and record the demo.

    • @rdavidr
      @rdavidr  8 ปีที่แล้ว
