Moving is traumatic, even if one is only moving across the street!
Maddie, you seem to be taking it all in the best of stride.
      Kudos!
Man, those toll booths are numerous! Good for you both for surviving them, let alone everything else ...

Yes, please do give us a tour of all the apartments you looked at so that we can follow on your house hunting journeys along with you. I am so impressed with who you get to help you move, and tour possible units, etc.
Question for you if it is not too personal, please: What time of day do you get up to do all that you do? What time did you get up on moving day, please? Asking for a reason -- Everyone in my building is being relocated to building all around the city where I live so that the building I am living in now can be torn down and renovated. We will be living in the temporary housing for up to one year, yikes! We will move out totally and then move back into the newly renovated building, too.

Oh Maddie, you never cease to amaze me with your mental and physical strength, but making this move with the necessary stamina as a single, young woman to do it in this way. Your real estate agent was exceptional, choosing a driver/companion for the help was the most amazing impressive choice, because “women are still taken advantage of” all over the world.
You are brilliant. You will always become more so, even with mistakes, because life is a learning process experience. I admire you more than you will ever know. You are such an inspiration for independent women. I pray for you always.

There were both amazing things and some challenging aspects, but we are nearly past the paperwork stage and on the citizenship (for him) and residency (for me). @@MaddieGold I'm glad. You do seem much happier than you were the last time I saw a video from you. You seem to have gotten a lot more comfortable making videos on your own, too. You seem to have matured and grown a lot in the past year, since what's-his-face. I know it was difficult at first, but I think the change seems to have done you good.
I'm glad you're back in Queretaro, too, since I know how much you loved it. Sometimes a physical change of location after a difficult breakup can really help for a while, but at the end of the day, we make every place our own and have to be where we are happiest.
Jesus seems very nice, too - and he sure isn't hard on the eyes.

Thank you! And yes, I feel so fortunate and blessed to have such a good friend like Jesus. It truly made this whole experience fun instead of intimidating/stressful. I'll have to see if he's interested in making cameos in future videos. Although now that I think of it, he already has in the EDC one haha.
P.S. The average road trip in Mexico doesn't usually have THIS many tolls. Idk if Google Maps thought we got Mario Kart bonuses for hitting as many tolls as possible or if there are legitimately this many between these two cities. Either way, OOF!

After two years we had issues with damage but our video confirmed it existed on move in and we actually left them with full gas which was empty when we move in by day 3 and CFE was in Dac rate but not when we left so we got back our damage deposit because of our agent but the owners were amazing to work with 🤩 I can’t wait to see your future vlogs 🤩🤩🤩Thanks again for sharing your time with us 🤩🤩🤩

Ok Maddie (Marigold!), Two things: poor water pressure in MX can be remedied by two suggestions~Buy a new shower head because the old one is full of minerals & corrosion from the water. To keep the new one cleaned out, fill a sturdy baggie (big enough to cover the entire shower head) with the strongest vinegar you can buy. Secure the baggie with elastic bands or a heavy duty garbage tie and let the shower head soak for 24 hrs or as close to that as possible. Pour the vinegar down the drain after shaking a box of baking soda down the drain first & you'll have a freshened drain system in your shower. We live in rural north central TX with lots of minerals in the water & this is a life saver. I taught this method to my niece in Merida & she was amazed how well it worked. You can do this same deal on all the faucets. Secondly, being a Texan & my oldest son farming in "the Rio Grande Valley", we try to keep up with the corruption going on. At present, Guanajuato is considered the most dangerous state in MX right now. I hate to hear that because so many of my former students (I'm retired now) still have families and land in Guanajuato. Some are from Durango & you know how that is...I lived thru a massive search on the Devil's Highway once! Keep your friend Jesus nearby...he's muy guapo! You've got such a gracious & honest personality & you're still blossoming but don't cut your hair... I wish you all the best!

Regarding the leasing process..OMG, it sounds way more complicated than in The States!! Arent there other options? As you traveled all over Mexico weren't other States Easier? Maybe a video about that?!...haha! Anyway..Congrats again, I know you feel Good... (And you knew that you would 😝!)

It's so interesting to hear you talk about these things because I've been on the other side - first renting my house in Mexico to folks monthly, then long term and now short term rentals - and had to learn every single one of these things the hard way lol. Really nice to get the validation though that my learnings were worth it, from the low water pressure affecting water heater, to the experience of people skipping out on paying CFE and getting electricity disconnected (that was a shocker), to the incredibly detailed inventory of the short term rental company I currently go through. Everything you describe makes sense!

I suppose it just reminds me of my best memories that I had in Mexico where my friends and I went on little road trips and just being excited and awe in seeing the different sights. Just makes me feel so nostalgic~ thank you for another video and I wish you lots of happiness in your new home.

congrats maddie. i’ve been all over mexico the last year and if i had to choose a home base, i keep thinking it’s going to be queretaro. the only thing preventing me from doing it is it’s somewhat harder to get elsewhere in the country easily (long distance, i mean). i do like the buses, but a lot of the plane trips still mean hiking it back to cdmx airport first. else, i’m really considering a spot in queretero too, but really don’t want to go over like 8,000 pesos (if possible). anyway, i’m super stoked for ya.
