@@heathlouis4529 no i will cause i get what you mean. i think optimal play is pretty fine, i like to be strategic aswell. but to go as far as to kill yourself to gain an advantage just seems a bit extreme. so in short, i get that it can be a real thing, but why go through so much trouble and make enemy players irritated knowing his opponent will run away when losing and then taking his own life. hard topic i must say. makes me wish Comp Dom was a thing so these extreme playstyles could be practised there.
There's something I wanted to share with everyone, especially new players. You can clear the minion lane by killing the minions standing directly on the zone boundary, even if there's a ton of minions behind them, the moment you kill the last minion touching the boundary, the enemy loses the lane, they might regain it in a few seconds if they in fact have a lot more minions behind, but that can help a lot when you're breaking and the enemy hasn't reached 1.1k pts, a quick rally can change the momentum or at least let you regroup. Having said that, berserker can clear the boundary with two zones done right, just stand at the corner of the boundary and perform the zone along the boundary, whether you went a little into the minion squad or managed to stay on the boundary, simply perform another zone and clear the rest of the minion front line, sometimes you might need a couple lights to finish them off but that's manageable. That makes berserker the best minion-lane-clearer in the game in my opinion for he can make the opponent lose the minion lane in less than 10 seconds
@@juicyvortex7204 I asked him once and he did mention he does well in scrims. But i don't think faraam is capable of clapping comp players consistently since he mostly plays mm dominion for his youtube content.
The one thing I would reconsider about this video is when your low health with nowhere to heal. In some ,but not all, situations distracting two or more opponents away from battle could help a teammate capture a point or something like that
good point its also helpfull against an enemy team who always walk as a 4 man group just go on 1 point alone distract them as long as you can and your 3 teammates can get the other 2 zones so simple to conter a walking 4 man squad
I just want XP in customs so I can play scrims more. The ccu has made matchmaking better in some ways, I find it more engaging since defence is harder and less safe, I also like not dying to shit ganks because someone lucked out with a 45 damage heavy. But it hasn't fixed the issue of lack of knowledge from a lot of the playerbase.
Your advice has helped me become a better player by leaps and bounds. Its thanks to you that I found that ending chains with heavies give frame advantage. And you are right, the average player has abysmal knowledge of the game. I try to help others when I feel like it, but sometimes it feels nice to win 3v1s against people spamming lights on my external block, hehe.
The average FH player doesn't know these things because most don't search out this info and the game itself is lacking in the information it does contain. Unfortunately, a large portion of players won't even search the game itself, let alone seek out information elsewhere. If players did, these videos should have far more views. Even the main subreddit only has 312k vs the 25 million unique accounts that have played the game at one point over the past 4 years. Great vid btw.
I would like to elaborate a little bit on the first tip. Every time you are in a Dom (or Breach) match, the question u need to ask yourself at all times is "Which activity can I do that my team will benefit the most?" Think of yourself and your teammates as human resources. The team who can more optimaly distrobute their resources, wins. Ganking with more than 2 people is not optimal. Landing dmg in a gank without a proper setup is very difficult. You are wasting resources by ganking with more than 2 people, you can do something as that will contribute more to your team. U also don't want to rotate to a teamfight on one point, while the other point and mid is unguarded. In general, farming mid nets the most points, so unless u would be outnumbered in mid or your char is really bad at cleaning mid, you want to farm mid. Talking about being outnumbered, the longer u can stall out multiple opponent players, the more points u deny from the enemy team, so antigank if you can, don't if u will get deleted in 10s.
Will you do videos to teach how to play AGAINST certain heroes? Currently fighting a Shugoki is a miserable experience for me. Highlander is also quite hard but not that awful to me.
I asked for a revenge guide a few days ago, now I'm wondering if Freeze read my comment. I wish people in this game knew how to gank, but telling everyone to only gank as 2 people is definitely a great start. Thanks for that, Freeze!
One great way to show delaying still exists is Warden. You can delay the heavy really late it catches so many people. You can delay Wardens side heavy to the point that it'll catch Kensie side dodge heavy. Normally if Ken threw that attack during your combo (x2 light, heavy/heavy heavy) it would just dodge it. Yeah he can't faint it so it's an easy parry but catching a Ken with a delayed side heavy feels so much better xD
Good vid. We can only hope people may be able to fight smarter not harder now. Or choose to be more optimal. Some people cant understand passed the "i have attacks, i throw attacks" needs to be "i have attacks, i plan my attacks" thinking is too hard sometimes i guess 😅
About tip n3, its mostly right, but i found that a lot of players will often disregard anything and everyone around them just to get that kill, and you can play that to your team’s advantage and get an ez kill, provided that you have at least one teammate with you.
Rly good video, I'm by no means an excellent player. But my last year of for honor has taught me just how much of a difference properly learning, practising and trying to improve can have over just playing for a long time. It is bizarre how little people with thousands of hours in this game actually know sometimes, now most players I've spoken to with upwards of 1k hours are aware of the actual strengths of heroes, the flaws in duels, the nature of revenge and ganking and more "advanced" mechanics in general but sometimes when I play against a rep 300 player they just play with no real depth. They'll run head on in 1v3s, not use option selects, fall for avoidable mixups or complain in chat about shit heroes. I wonder if it's the lack of in game tools or a competitive team mode or something else that isn't giving people and incentive to improve. I kind of hate it because when you try to spread information about the actual state of balance, or give tips on how to play optimally or suggested that hated heroes like HL actually need buffs you're called elitist or toxic. People just want the average skill of players to go up, so we can get better more agreeable balance changes and get better quality matchmaking games, that is all.

Have you already made a video on how the scoring system works in dominion? I can't count how many times where we've been bodying the enemy team in kills a d capture points but when I look at the score, we're still loosing.
Hey Freeze, I'd like to ask your perspective on players who run away before dying. I've come across this player numerous times who'd 1v1 in dominion and before he'd bite the dust, he'd drop his guard and run away. I don't care ro chase him because he's using Shinobi, I wanted to ask if this is in any way viable.
Ik what U mean with shugoki ur fucked because they can roll away and u can't chase them but for ur team it's better because he's leaving the zone and u get a free zone or successfully defended ur zone ik that's sucks when a KD boy is running away but don't follow him u will die most of the time

Yeah it works like i'm rep 53 with bp and i allways get surprised at how people are attack maniacs like dont u know i can flip most of the things your trying to do ? They just want to attack the times i really truggled as any characther in this game where when people wouldnt attack as much and just watch me and pumish accordingly like in 2v1 your fighting one guy and the other punish you when you got a garanteed punish on the other like a light parry
THE FIRST ONE, OH MY GOD. I have gotten into arguments with people who justify getting into a 3v1 , like you don't need 3 people to kill just one, it's like people are like flies attracted to a light, they just run towards people to fight and don't think about it at all, and they chase them, it never occurs to them that the objectives are a thing
Everyone wants those sweet executions. It's like they're all Monarchs thirsting after a doomed titan. Especially on the last guy when the enemy team is breaking, it'll be only heavies with maybe a light or two if a person wants to just finish the match.
Jesus I hate it so much when my team is on a 3v1 gank while they could be clearing the lane or you know, helping me on my 3v1. Most players are so thirsty for kills
Do countered guardbreaks feed into revenge? I was under the impression that if you are ganking with two people, in addition to messing with the victim's indicator, you should be trying to time your guard breaks so your partner can hit the person you're ganking...unless counter guardbreaks also feed into revenge as well?
Landing a GB on your opponent in a gank definitely feeds revenge regardless if they counter GB or not. Now you have the issue of the GB hitstun heavily reducing the damage of the teammates attack if they counter GB.
3:56 : literally the most annoying thing when I try to get between an enemy and my teammate who's got one chip of hp left but they still insist on staying in the fight instead of running =/

Tip number one: LB is cool, looks cool, feels cool, but is trash and ure limiting yourself if you play him. Except if youre a lightparrymonster then maybe he is ok i guess
Only 3 tips you ll ever need are: 1. Play ranked to practice 1v1s 2. Play 4v4 mods to practice anti ganks 3. Get to know all the max punishes and other tehnical information
1.I would not recommend it but the gear-drop is alright . 2. Which one? they are all so populated :D 3. in y4 this should be a requirement. The possible gank combo is my goal now.
@@SomeOne-wl6wp Ranked I would suggest because it always forces you to play againt people better then you and it helps you get better at the game Any 4v4 mode depending on your personal preferance I guess
It’s annoying me and my friends understand how revenge work when we play we just say it’s easier to use the 1v1 or wait for a 2v2 to jump in with a 3rd
Here I’m looking at this again, 4 months later. I’m getting jumped and spammed by bash hero’s. Feeding revenge? Sure why not I got revenge plenty of times if I plan on not sending any attacks out.
Having been a reactionary player for 1k reps pre ccu has turned me back to a rep 1 once it was released. So many times I say to myself, "k kensei will start with a dash top light" and they will, but because I wait for an indicator, I always get hit. I'm not a huge fan of needing them to light into my heavy rather then me having to heavy into their light. From my understanding, if we want to parry/deflect a follow-up light we need to mash the heavy/dash in the direction we think they are going to attack in. I'd rather time my inputs correctly, but I'm almost always punished for trying to do so.
@@drownsinkoolaid4203 You're right. I can just block, which I do a lot of the time. After fighting someone x amount of times and know what patterns they do, it's frustrating to know what they will do and still getting hit by it because of having the old system embedded in me of waiting for an indicator before I follow through. Especially on openers, kenseis dash light, zhan hus dash light, glads sprinting heavy. So many times I know it's coming and when I see the indicator and react, it's too late.
I just can’t counter Guard break. I feel like I’ve tried everything but I still can’t do it, like I’ve gone in training, tried clawing, and tried to just get experience in the real game but I just can’t do it. Rn I’m like a rep 40 and I just get punished way to hard, y’all got and tips for this bc I really like this game but this might be the deal breaker for me
There is no « tip » to be good in that game. It’s simple. Play all hero you can play to know them and their combos at least a bit. Then choose the hero you like the most and train and again. But in any case and like all game some will always stay better and some will stay lower. And btw like all games it’s sometime about luck. You can have a bad day on FH or a good day.
I know the average For Honor player is about as genius as a sock full of peddles, but I do blame Ubisoft really. For Honor has undeniably gone under a litany of changes, some heroes being reworked entirely, half the tags for heroes don't make sense etc. Players need to have step-by-step, easily digestible guides such as this video in order to understand team cohesion, competent player behavior and the current version of the game. Imagine a returning casual trying to comprehend what the fuck the CCU is and how it altered the game relative to the past 50 balance patches and new heroes. An example of a company that does this well (no matter how insufferable the gameplay is regardless) is Riot and League. NO ONE has any room to claim "I don't know what to do" because Riot absolutely has spent years initiating noobs and getting them to play at a semi-basic level. The biggest voiced complaint about League is toxicity+ poor teamwork. With FH it's almost EVERYTHING.

They just want to attack the times i really truggled as any characther in this game where when people wouldnt attack as much and just watch me and pumish accordingly like in 2v1 your fighting one guy and the other punish you when you got a garanteed punish on the other like a light parry
that's not becoming a better player that's picking BP
Could we see feats being used out of emotes? Since we're on the subject of plays you never see.
do you think ccu make shugoki's HA a bit fast with his light, which makes him can literally light on red in all situation???
THE FIRST ONE, OH MY GOD. I have gotten into arguments with people who justify getting into a 3v1 , like you don't need 3 people to kill just one, it's like people are like flies attracted to a light, they just run towards people to fight and don't think about it at all, and they chase them, it never occurs to them that the objectives are a thing
Whenever i'm in a 1v1 in dominion and a teammate feeds revenge well i just go somewhere else leave them on the spot
Everyone wants those sweet executions. It's like they're all Monarchs thirsting after a doomed titan.
Especially on the last guy when the enemy team is breaking, it'll be only heavies with maybe a light or two if a person wants to just finish the match.
That first topic fucking speaks to me, i have a few people to show this to.
Freeze does backstep light into UB feint as Orochi give tag?
no, you need to physically touch your opponent to add a tag.
or have your attack dodged during i-frames
@@fkkfreeze aye thanks
Average For honor Player, Information. You know you can't put those two together, right?
JJ in the end of the video😂😂😂
As someone who just came back to this game everything you are saying is sounding like hieroglyphics to me😭
Yus, teach me the ways old wise one
Freeze: And that's how you can be a competitive player
*Card declines *
Freeze: 4:51
Can you make a video for anti ganking in general
My body spazzes the fuck out LMAO
And here I was hoping for the Revenge guide to be hidden in the video, similar to WTF Moments #3. ;)
I am very unmotivated atm, to make extensive guide videos like the revenge one.
Sorry, it'll be a few weeks =/
@@fkkfreeze I was just joking, all good. Take the time you need. Let no one rush you.
“This is the correct way to play that scenario”
Falls off bridge and dies 💀
thought it was funny but tips are 👌🏾😂
thanks for this video now if people listen the game will be more enjoyable .I get really mad when I'm about to kill someone and my teammates show up and give them revenge
So Gank, Gank, have a break from Gank, game mechanic, Gank an execution
Tip number one: LB is cool, looks cool, feels cool, but is trash and ure limiting yourself if you play him. Except if youre a lightparrymonster then maybe he is ok i guess
Not good enough, I want to be a god, Freeze.
#1 parry
#2 dodge
#3 gb
#4 revenge
#5 *b a s h*
Only 3 tips you ll ever need are:
1. Play ranked to practice 1v1s
2. Play 4v4 mods to practice anti ganks
3. Get to know all the max punishes and other tehnical information
1.I would not recommend it but the gear-drop is alright .
2. Which one? they are all so populated :D
3. in y4 this should be a requirement. The possible gank combo is my goal now.
@@SomeOne-wl6wp Ranked I would suggest because it always forces you to play againt people better then you and it helps you get better at the game
Any 4v4 mode depending on your personal preferance I guess
It’s annoying me and my friends understand how revenge work when we play we just say it’s easier to use the 1v1 or wait for a 2v2 to jump in with a 3rd
Here I’m looking at this again, 4 months later. I’m getting jumped and spammed by bash hero’s. Feeding revenge? Sure why not I got revenge plenty of times if I plan on not sending any attacks out.
Is it possible for Ara to delay his soft faint lights?
That JJ is uhh not quit dead yet or so dead he is flipping everywhere?
For honor would be so much fun if they lowered the ridiculous health pool of shugoki and lawbringer.
I just can’t counter Guard break. I feel like I’ve tried everything but I still can’t do it, like I’ve gone in training, tried clawing, and tried to just get experience in the real game but I just can’t do it. Rn I’m like a rep 40 and I just get punished way to hard, y’all got and tips for this bc I really like this game but this might be the deal breaker for me
change your keybinds, so you don't have to move your fingers.
Try r3 or LB for example
4:38 or any shaman at any amount of health
Thank you
There is no « tip » to be good in that game. It’s simple. Play all hero you can play to know them and their combos at least a bit. Then choose the hero you like the most and train and again. But in any case and like all game some will always stay better and some will stay lower. And btw like all games it’s sometime about luck. You can have a bad day on FH or a good day.
Step 1: Play Warmonger.
Step 2: Press the 4 button.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
i really hate when people in breach just faming minion at the Ram Sure their higher lvl and facing commander with 2 lifes 😂
Ok now I am a betterer player but...
I want to be the most betterer player out there
I know the average For Honor player is about as genius as a sock full of peddles, but I do blame Ubisoft really.
Also this happens alot:
1v1 And you are winning team mate comes to steal kill or try to gank> gives tons of revenge and we all die...
Me: Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I conditioned my self to allways leave the fight immediatly if a teammate starts feeding revenge i almost never gank with randoms teammates

Masters are all Hackers and Scripters :D GL HF :D
have you heard of people that dont want to play the best characters and actually have fun with lower tier ones
@@TrustedFemboy yep i am one odf those i have 2 assassins rep 70 and few above 20 😂
1. Some assassins have the best gank potential (Shaman + PK, Shinobi range gb from 20m away, Nuxia external pressure)
2. Option Selects get predictable and people learn to parry/interrupt it
3: Yes
4. I mean i guess
5. Wow! Wow! Wow!
What I don't understand about the game is how ppl change stance mid attack
Some attacks can be softfeinted.
What character did you experience this with? I can explain it then.
