    if you put dirt rally 2.0 on your list of games with bad graphics you must have set it up wrong. dirt rally 2.0 is beautiful in vr.
    also, now you have vr you need to buy automobilista 2 and assetto corsa. you should also try rbr rsf.

      I put every game I tried on bad graphics because of the big pixels of the Meta Quest 2...Which for me feels like I'm wearing a cathode ray tube tv on my head. The games with cartoony graphics with more colors than textures from the VR library were enjoyable and the pixels were way less noticeable.

    The upscaling DLSS , the compression of the headset make the things blurry and pixelated . By me on Reverb G2 and RTX 4090 the graphics looks better than on monitor (34 inch 3800x1440 Alinenware ). For VR you just need best possible hardware and a headset with native display port to get best picture possible. Quest 3 also can do the job but have a bit more latency.

    I have quest 2, RTX 3090. Resolution multiplayer helps a lot, but still is too blurry to see in the distance, where the track goes.
    also for vr sim racing in general, too much setting up.
    Do I want to play more ea wrc in vr? - yes
    I noticed, that in general same exact graphics looks much worse in VR
    I cranked the resolution multiplier to 1.4, and decreased some ingame graphics settings, the clarity benefit is worth it
    quest 2 is my second vr headset, still waiting for something better price/performance to come out, to upgrade

      That's a beast of a setup you got there! 🔥

  • @Eucal
    @Eucal 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You have setup your quest 2 incorrectly (judging by 7:55). The slider needs to be all the way to the right for any given refresh rate, just to be 1:1 to its native resolution, the setting you have right now is like selecting 1080p resolution on a 2K screen. Oculus tricks new users into thinking 1x is native and anything more is supersampling, which is not true.
    Then you probably also didnt open OculusDebugTool and adjust encode bitrate, by default is something like 200mb/s and has very apparent compression artifacting, should be 400 or more (even then there will be little, but drastically better). There is more settings there that you can research. That's the bandwith compromise for using USB cable and not display port.
    And even after you did all this, you have just only gotten to performance Q2 is capable of, which today is not that amazing, but right now you dont even have that much.
    And then even on top of that, WRC for some reason has a dogs*it implementation that looks blurry just by itself , even if you did everything else right (compare to any other pcvr title).
    So i really dont envy you if this is for your first experience...

    • @noxnovaYT
      @noxnovaYT  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Going anywhere higher with the resolution slider made the frames drop horribly. I also went into the debug tool and set the bitrate to 300mbps.
      As you said, Q2 is not that of a big deal anyway and WRC in VR at that time was in a very beta state.
      Although I hit a few races last week just for fun with the Q2 and it felt enjoyable.

    2 big problems and one small one: First big problem is EA Sports WRC... it's really really bad in VR. I don't think it will ever come close to Dirt 2.0 and VR, but I really hope it does.
    2nd problem is quest 2. it's just not good enough anymore.
    The other small problem is the combination of your system and the fact that you have no experience with VR. You just don't have a 4090 and a monster CPU where you can (almost always) just get started without having to adjust everything forever.
    Without a monster system, you'll be forced to learn how others do it.
