ABOUT ME
I’m Andrew Jensen, a former full time touring professional that played on PGA TOUR Canada, Latinoamerica and almost every North American based mini tour since 2008. I want to use my playing experience to inspire golfers to improve their own game and have more fun with this amazing game we play!
the practice session has its own value like it calls out your data and shows you a replay of your swing..we know the range feature is best to practice with but i dont want to lose the other practice feature just cause someone on youtube doesnt like it..i want more features not less..i suspect a putting feature could be possible in the future although ive never liked simulator putting
Since I don’t have a net yet, I’m only using my MLM2 Pro at the driving range, and the Practice mode is better since I can visually see the ball flight.
If I'm practicing at home, I would use the range mode to see the ball flight on screen. However, I wish you could get the session insights using the range mode. I find the session insights to be convenient when doing a post-review.
Great video.
I always use PRACTICE with the camera on my iPad providing the front on view of each shot. This it the ways to work on your swing!
I feel like they have a ton of room to improve on something that is pretty darn good. Of course if you spend 3k-7k you will get something better
I've also noticed the inconsistencies on short chips. It is frustrating. However overall experience with the MLM2PRO is fantastic. Also when I have goofy questions or concerns the in APP support from Rapsodo has been very prompt. Great tool for working on my game. For whatever reason I usually go to practice. It's my go to screen. tie for second is Speed and Range. I'm not really all that enthusiastic about any of the simulators out there. The E6 is obviously better than the Rapsodo from a graphics standpoint and on screen data but I'm not a fan of simulator golf. To me these launch monitors are about using the numbers to improve consistency. For me I'm pretty close to 100% happy with the MLM2PRO.
Thanks for sharing all that man, such great insights for everyone!!
I love mine just for the fact that I can get great numbers. For my wedges.
do you have a video that shows your simulator setup? screen, mat, etc..... Never had a simulator and looking to get the mlm2pro and set up a room.
Yeah, I’ve got a couple videos about the setup from Carl’s Place. My mat is a motivo
Totally agree. Chipping on the Rapsodo in-app software is not even nearly as good as chipping on Awesome golf.
So awesome golf picks the chipping up better?? I bought one last week and have only gotten to use it once and the chipping was sheeiitte!!
Nice to know!
My man you are uploading a video about the previous update. They have released another major update almost a week ago which adds swing speed mode and so on... I thought your video was about that !!!
good to know!!
Cheers for the heads up!! Downloading now
Do you know if they can fix the shot tracer out on the Range looks kind of thick like a marker
There was another update this morning
So, are the numbers not as good outdoors? You seem to have to use special balls indoors. I know there is a mode for outdoors. What are people thinking about it when they use it outdoors?
I’ve covered that in my other videos. Numbers are the same outdoors, you just don’t get spin numbers
I’m considering purchasing the MLM2Pro and I have a specific question that I haven’t been able to find an answer to yet. I’m wondering if the MLM2Pro is capable of accurately capturing shots with foam golf balls or similar. Since there’s a lot of content out there for other simulators but not specifically for the MLM2Pro, I think it could be a great idea for a TH-cam video. Testing the MLM2Pro with foam balls could provide valuable information for those of us looking to practice indoors without the risk of breaking anything. Would you be willing to test this out and share your findings? It seems like it could be a unique and helpful piece of content for your viewers.
I have tested it with some other launch monitors. I can't test it with the MLM2Pro unless they would send me one, but it does work well with the Mevo+ and BLP. The VLA and Distance are accurate. The side spins are less accurate. Being the MEVO is a radar based monitor, I would suspect a similar outcome.
They also work with the wiffle balls or solid plastic balls too! I agree that it would be a good video and hopefully @andrewjensongolf will make one. I would be up for a collaboration one if he is!
Someone might want to tell them there's no trees surrounding the green of #6 at Pebble. It's much more a Pacific Ocean thing. No lakes either.
Does anyone know if there is an online Rapsodo users forum? I just got mine and am slightly lost. Thanks
Can you practice without internet?
Yes, absolutely. It syncs the session to the cloud when back online
My distance is super off like 40“50 yards off is there a fix?
That might be something to contact Rapsodo about to help troubleshoot
Looks like you're chipping it the same strength each time. I assume it doesn't read if you hit it softer? Usually I find the amature level simulators aren't the greatest at reading soft chips
What's that, Andrew? You're going to send me one so I can verify your findings? So nice of you, my Canadian brother! 😅
how far are you to the screen?
Roughly 10 feet
Fyi that is the Singapore CBD area skyline
They can’t make the sim golf experience better unless they scrap the current one a build a new one from the ground up.
This just doesn't seem like a great deal if your intention is to play sim golf. It may be good to practice with outside and get some numbers, but man, some of the issues you highlighted here would seemingly make this not worth it for $700. While they are trying to develop their own in house software, companies like E6 are make sim courses that actually feel immersive and real. This just feels bleak and kind of cobbled together. I understand they will continue to improve and this is a work in progress, but as someone looking for a indoor sim option along with some outdoor numbers, this just doesn't seem to hit the mark which is kind of a bummer
Yes, but you can use E6 or Awesome Golf as sim options with this unit as well 🔥
@@andrewjensengolfmore money. More subscriptions.
It’s concerning it takes them so long to get sum course to be anywhere near what is out there.
The chipping is and issue. Those chips were not great but they were not that bad either. U need a high soft pitch shot.
And the putting. We want to putt.
We don’t want subscriptions just free updates. Or way cheaper per year. Way cheaper.
Getting closer.
One thing consumers should agree never to second for that $75o on one and let the best product win.
Imagine that, winter bringing snow and cold. How did we ever survive pre internet.
You would have just been left sharing your witty quips with people in person
