I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes "gimmicky" golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

This is a luxury. He has many videos on his channel explaining how you can play golf for cheap or on a budget. Thankfully I at least have a golf net I can hit into, and a yard to chip in.
Golf is so overpriced. This simulator setup should be $300-400 max. Look at the stuff an Xbox or PS4 can do for that. This can only do 1 thing. Drivers made in China costing $300+ is absurd. Muira stuff, now that I can understand but big box stuff. No way. All Chinese made.

Just buy a flight. Hit it straight and keep it on the fairway, they last a long time.
As I work at a golf course whenever members leave their balls they go in a bin that we use for free golf balls. People have left Pro V1s many times 😁
@@blakedabloke6456 I played golf for the first time like a month ago with my friend, we buy secondhand golf balls for 10 cents each from workers who pick them up... I've hit quite a few of them not knowing their value, I'll keep them next time for when I get better because they all go flying out of bounds anyways atm lmao

I know it’s a year late, but I’ve just recently been a viewer. Until I was 50, I’d played a dozen games at most. A friend has gotten me interested in the sport where I am ready to dedicate some effort to it for fun and your channel has proven helpful and wildly entertaining, which helps me stay engaged. Hey Rick, tough times without having golf in the US and I was wondering if you could do a golf review show for a launch monitor that you trust so the people stuck at home can improve their game and maybe invest in one of those. I've been looking at the Swing Caddie SC300 and it looks more accurate. I just want to know what you think of it, Thanks for all the great content and the simulator is beautiful.
Hi Sam...I don't think the swing caddie would be good for indoors...I have the GarminG80 and it also may not be good for indoors unless your hitting short irons..I'm hitting into a net that's 5 ft away and anything over an 8 iron is way off...On Quad my 4 iron carry is 190/200 but on the Garmin in the garage it's barely 160 carry...so maybe the distance from the net is not far enough...When I took the garmin to my local hitting bay it worked alot better.. numbers being about 3 to 5 yds off( sometimes spot on)...I've never tried the swing caddie but I think both units would be good at a range...Hopefully Rick will do a review for us stuck in the garage

I'm old enough to remember when cars went in garages. Ah, the good old days. I don't have a GC Quad, but I have a net, mat and a PRGR. After rolling the vehicles out, it takes me about 1/2 hour to set it all up. Can't hit the driver because of ceiling height, but 3W and below clears. I'm looking forward to your ideas about indoor practice. Thank you Rick. BTW, as per Pete Swanson's post I like the "Lab" as a name for your enterprise.

What's up rick! Im not the kinda guy that just sits on youtube and listen to videos. But I tore my ACL and just got my surgery so i got nothing else to do except sitting in my bed. Im new to golf and hope to start off strong next year. I just want to tell you if this message gets to you somehow that.. god you and your videos are simply awesome. Not only on the tutorial part but in every way. I mean last night I went through a couple of your videos and they're just so nice to watch. Cant wait next year to go through those tutorial and lower my scores! Keep doing what youre doing you deserve it!

Having a simulator is a bucket list item. Just waiting for my son to move out. His room down stairs is were it will be. He has a door to the outside patio where I will build my putting green. In his room will be the simulator on one wall and the other wall will be a work bench area where I can assemble golf clubs. 25 years ago I had a small golf assembly business in Denver Colorado. It would be great to re-shaft and re-grip clubs again. Looks great Rick! I am a bit jealous. For a name, Amen Corner.
If this was in my garage I would be living in there.
Video idea : using the Dart board, each section of the Dart board relates to a club (20=driver, 7=7 iron etc). You have to play a course only using ur Dart skills to select what club u are taking on each shot 👍

I use one half of a fererro rochet box as a tray for a golf ball pyramid and it works

I've thought about doing a "budget" version with a cheap launch monitor and just some old sheets or something. It'd be better than nothing here during the winters of small town Minnesota. At least you wouldn't have to start every season like someone whose never played golf before again because you've had that much time off lol!

In the past couple years I have put in a golf simulator (DIY to keep cost down) and a home gym. My job is busy and with 2 little kids my free time is limited. Being able to have a quick range session, play 18 holes in 45 minutes on the sim and work out from home has been great. Being in the Northern United States we lose 5 months of golf to cold weather. Due to being able to practice and play more after my sim my handicap improved from 12 to 6 in the past 2 years. I would highly recommend building your own sim. There is a great website called golf simulator forums with tons of information and people that will answer your questions on completing your sim.
Can’t believe I missed this when you put it out four months ago. This is incredible and makes me want to build one for myself

How much did the whole set-up cost - simulator, projector, other hardware and software. I always thought high quality simulators were prohibitively expensive.
For his exact setup you would be looking at about $17,000-$18,000. $14,000 of that is the cost for the GCQUAD with the software.

I'm in So Cal April 8th 2020 on lock cane can't use it inside ceiling's are not high enough have it set up outside but its raining so I still can't use it all the time

total cost for the whole setup is around 18k USD

GC quad alone is 18k guys... I'd say about 21k
American golf sell the gc quad with the software and driving screen etc for £23,100 😳
Instead of a simulator, I just bring my bag into my backyard and hit stick and wood chips over my neighbors fence.

Loved seeing your little girls (I have three that are all grown up), it gives us a different perspective inside the life of a TH-cam golf legend. Great video, Rick! I just bought a net and Swing Caddie2 to set up in the garage after re-watching your review of it vs. GC quad. Hopefully, the courses will be open back here in the U.S. soon and life can get back to a little bit more normal, although normal is probably a long ways away. In the meantime, thank you for continuing to keep us entertained.
