Andi is a future super-star, and I wouldn't be surprised if she starts training with the National Team in the off-season. Dude, she was just a freshman last year, how can u think she'd reached her prime? Lol. She's still a gossling in her VB career and growth.
Andi Jackson has become a true Terminator-type hitter. The kind of hitter you GO-TO when you REALLY need to finish the point. The kind of hitter that USA Women's Volleyball has been SORELY lacking for decades (both Nebraska and Team USA). Whenever the game/match is on the line, Nebraska HAS TO give the ball to Andi, and not be afraid of 'over-using her'. Her ability to put the ball on the floor, and with AUTHORITY, is simply unmatched by any current USA player -- collegiate, professional, or national. And she's only just begun her phenomenal growth-spurt. Exciting. Amazing. Historic.
You know how u can tell how impressive Andi's swings are? Look at the faces of her teammates as they react and celebrate... every one of them, Beason, Murray, Lexi, etc... their expression is of disbelief, like 'omg', did u just do that??? 30:47 Like with TWO blockers in front of her, she still CRUSHES the ball inside the 10-ft line, the way players get to crush it during hitting practice (no block/perfect set). I've played/captained/coached/lived/breathed volleyball for much of my life, and I tell u, Andi is the most exciting young talent I've seen in... decades? I watched every USA women's Olympic match this year, and hands-down, Andi is ALREADY superior to every current USA women's middle-blocker, as well as the majority of International MB's... watch a highlight real of her at 50% playback speed... she's poetry in motion. Power + speed + grace.
1:30:56 I know Rebecca Alick has been a solid middle for Nebraska, but I think Blackwell should take that other middle-blocker spot. This is an example how Alick's 'game sense' is still lacking. She absolutely SHOULD have gone up for the quick-middle, but got lucky to get a 'dirty' kill. As a middle, especially when the pass is perfect, you HAVE TO go up for the quick-set -- no exceptions. 1:31:52 Contrast that play to how Andi Jackson handled this perfect-pass transition play. She's right on it, ready for that quick.
I thought Blackwell was outstanding when she was on the white team. He'll stick with Rebecca as she's still young and has a lot of growth, potential and years in her. If she loses her spot he might lose her in the portal
57:25 This was an incredible play by Harper. These announcers keep missing sweet plays, they really should have pointed-out how athletic and acrobatic this play is. Harper is diving down expecting to play the first hit on the ball, but as she's falling to the ground, Blackwell tips/redirects the ball, and Harper reacts SO quickly and adeptly, poking the ball up as she's twirling to the ground... She had another awesome dive/save earlier too. That's high-level stuff. 1:11:01 another amazing reaction/eye-hand-coordination by Murray. The CONTROL that she has on this awkward, point-blank-reaction move (reverse-bump, or overhand-bump) to put the ball right on the setter, and then gets rewarded with the set, and termination... THAT is a spectacular play which the announcers just gloss-over.
I think starting line up should be S- Bergen Reilly OH-Harper Murray, Lindsay Krause or Taylor Landfair OPP-Merritt Beason MB- Andi Jackson, Leyla Blackwell L- Lexi Rodriguez
1:21:54 This is the SICKEST hit by Andi. Stivrins was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER, and Andi thumped it as if there was no block up -- as if it were hitting-line practice. My lord, this girl is unstoppable!!! ⚡⚡ 1:24:07 Total ownage. Total disdain for the double-block. Just goes right over it.
The Nebraska team doesn't have a reserve OP? The team had to improvise a guy in that position. And they only have 3 MB??? 3 MB and 4 liberos haha who is doing this recruitment??
Moving without the opportunity to touch is huge because it places people and it forces defense decisions to only allow for one or two choices witch tells you how to do it
I was watching the Olympics and heard the announcer say “Skinner is really testing their block” after being blocked four times. Same vibes. Everything is sunshine and rainbows and will have a spin put on it to fit in one of those two categories.
13:24 Why didn't Kennedy Orr try to play this ball that the DS got under??? She kind of smacked it away as if the point was over, but that ball was still in play. It bounced off the forearm of the DS. I guess that's why Orr still isn't a starter. She still doesn't have a complete feel for the game.
I went back to watch this play, Kennedy orr was reaching back with her left hand. It's hard to redirect your body once its falling. I would not blame it on "not having a feel for the game". she ran an offense on the red team, that took a set and all the sets were very close in pts (3 pts short) with new players, and players who are not use to playing beside each other She is very skilled, if anything she needs more support rather than criticism.
@@marelyssss She was "reaching back with her left hand?" What does that mean? She treated the point/ball as if the point was over, when it wasn't. Period. She literally SWATTED the ball away, as if the point was already over. Considering how long she's been playing the sport, it's really incredible that she would do such a thing... it's a mental problem. Her head is not right dude. Sorry to break your heart.
@@djbenje4019 she did attempt to go for the ball. She was blocking and then proceeded to go for a touch off the net by reaching back. Go watch again in slow mode, you’re missing the whole play.
no like you’re actually the goat for this.

Andi Jackson was on fire. I didn’t think she could get any better but she somehow has

There's a lot of hype for Harper Murray -- I don't know if I'm convinced she's one of their strongest outsides.

1:14:38 Kelly Hunter and Jordan Larson's reaction to Andi's slide attack.😂 I wish there was a close up on that. 😅💗
Thank you! Can you upload the Texas orange-white scrimmage if you have it please? 😊

Please explain to me why a man plays for the red girls? Very strange 🤔 overall great volleyball 👍
they didnt have enough front row players to fully outfit the red team. thats also why stivrins was here.
Andi Jackson is still my spirit animal! Hoping to see more involvement this year for my favorite player!
I think starting line up should be
S- Bergen Reilly

Frrr
why is there a guy playing
Same question 😅
@@rizzataliquig4974 "why would a man be there?!"
Anyone know why theres a guy playing on the red team?
Probably weren’t enough played for the red team and he’s filling in!! I think he’s a practice player

Thanks for posting! Side note- I can’t stand the female announcer😂

Good job! 👍
Which side won?
Technically, the white side won more sets, but players rotated sides. Cook was experimenting with lineups and rotations.
why did rilley like not set landfair at all
She did actually a couple times including 56:30 also when it’s a scrimmage, they switch teams each set so it’s about time and opportunity.
Great serving!
thanks bro
RODIGUEZ semangat tooo 👍👍
god bless u! 🤝🏾

They're talented but hopefully they've matured and gotten rid of their stank attitudes from last year after that spanking by Texas.
I loved their attitudes and reaction, especially Harper Murrays'.
