Wikipedia: “The song was Britain's contribution to Our World, the first live global television link, for which the band were filmed performing it at EMI Studios in London on 25 June 1967. The programme was broadcast via satellite and seen by an audience of over 400 million in 25 countries.” How ice cool was John? Chewing gum as he sings to a global audience. This is one of my very favorite songs by The Fab Four and, as you all know, I love John so much. His voice still sends shivers through me. For Our World they had considered Paul’s Your Mother Should Know but John really knocked it out of the park with this one. What an appropriate song to sing to the world. An all-time classic!
I misread this and thought you meant this was Britain’s most important contribution to the world. I was like, uh.. holding out in WW2?!! 😂😂😂 I mean I like the Beatles and all but c’mon!
Hello again dear friend. Well you did it again sounds great. I too love John singing with his voice, ha -ha, to quote John himself. Thanks Britster, keep 'em coming you're fantastic ! All Love is yours ❤...
One of John Lennon's many classics. Gorgeous melody, harmonies, and lyrics only John Lennon could create and unite so well. "Nothing you can know that isn't known. Nothing you can see that isn't shown." "Nothing you can make that can't be made. No one you can save that can't be saved."
John's voice sounds clearer, subtle shades of vocals are heard, and not to the detriment of the orchestra, which also has every note. Success again! All you need is love to The Beatles!
No need to spend money on any other remix again. You've nailed it on all these tracks. It's never gonna get any better than this...Sorry Giles, you've met your match
All You Need Is Love came out at the time The Beatles could do no wrong; they were a worldwide phenomenon. This remix perks up a great song. After 60 years, I still love The Beatles. Thanks again for another outstanding remix-best enjoyed with headphones!
I like this better than their original because of the choice to keep the vocals in the foreground and not lower them to focus on the orchestra, this stays right with John’s (& co’s) rhythmical “love is all you need”. Love it!
This version but with the more audible snare - like on the ‘Love’ album - would be perfect. All the other versions sound as if there’s empty space where the snare should be. Thank you so much for all these wonderful remixes 🙏👍🙂.
This song and video was for the first satellite link up around the world, the song was written by the boys and they were chosen to perform it..Quite something huh!!! We watched it on our black and white television. 😊👍
After this session, a very smart woman took Lennon’s lyric sheet. In 1999 I shipped that sheet to London for auction. It sold for 250 thousand pounds. I did get a pic holding the framed piece. This sounds great. I’m a Beatles and sound nut. You’ve got a new fan.
Thanks again for another great remix and it's great that you have so much respect for the Beatles recordings at the same time. Audio alone would be great, but the video pushes it to a higher level, and really adds to the entertainment value. Your hard work on this - and all the other remixes - has provided great results!
It's all awesome! All of my life I was dreaming to hear The beatles Mixes like this. Please give a link when I can download the audio versions of all your beatles remixes! And please do all their albums!
Thank you! For now they can only be legally shared on TH-cam where the copyright owners receive income from the ads that appear on my remix videos (I receive none) and only the tracks from the 2023 'Red' and 'Blue' albums are allowed. But here's a playlist link to all my Beatle remixes if you haven't found it already th-cam.com/play/PLFYx21aG4mB-R_lq789Micp12CqisuB6y.html Thanks for listening!
This song, just like the band, is so representative of the fabulous 1960s! It's not just a song; it's closely linked to a piece of modern history: the world's first live television broadcast. I am 70 years old, and I remember seeing it very well in June 1967. Even though I was only 12 years old at the time, I was aware of what was happening. It was historic, something special, almost like John Glenn's space mission (1960) or the assassination of John F. Kennedy (1963). This kind of message, through its content and unprecedented speed and reach, made us hope that technology and progress would prevail over war. Unfortunately, we were wrong, as we can see now...
Each time I believe that a version of a Beatles song is a definitive one, someone makes a new mix and something new emerges. In this case, I though that the Yellow Submarine Songtrack was a sort of ultimate mix... Clearly I was wrong hahaha GREAT JOB
For someone who didn't have acess to the master tapes this remix sounds so clear and dynamic. I am looking forward to pumping it through my car stereo at maximum volume !
This is fantastic, I remember watching the live special show around the world for the first time ever and the anticipation prior to the Beatles performing was right through the roof, and then they blew the world away with this wonderful song of love, a peace and love recording that time will never erase. Thanks for reproducing it once again for all of us, with such love devotion and dedication by your mix. We all owe you a debt of gratitude for this, even the Beatles themselves.
Thank you for your kind comment! I wish I could have seen that broadcast live as it was presented to the world but I don't think it was available to watch live here in the U.S. I was 15 at the time and if it was available here I would have been glued in front of the TV.
On the "Hey Jude" remix, I really didn't hear any difference (not a dig, just that I've heard it probably thousands of times so my ears only hear it one way), but THIS - THIS struts up to you and smacks you in the face! EXCELLENT remake! It's almost like a different song! (Plus I get a MUCH clearer hearing of my favorite part - where John starts singing the opening of "She Loves You" at the end.)
WOW. Absolutely Superb! This is a phenomenal remix that jumps to life with intensity and clarity. The video work is really top-notch & cool too... nodding to the psychedelic theme of the time. The message being sung here is still so contemporary, especially in these times of polarization and division. Perhaps this video needs to broadcast around the world again like it was 57 years ago!
If I ever had a chance to remix this one, I’d do one that brings up Georges guitar, not just throughout the song, but especially at the end of the solo where it seemingly trails off and feels incomplete. He’s still playing, albeit more quietly, but they’re not bad notes, just not loud enough. I didn’t even notice those notes were there until isolated tracks came along. Already said elsewhere that I like this mix better than the original, however, that would be my dream mix; making the end of the guitar solo audible (lol - if you’re taking requests).
These are brilliant . If you ever do the Sgt Pepper album I bet you can do the transition from Good Morning, Good Morning to Sgt Pepper (reprise) properly for stereo.
I truly love your remixes, and am a fan of "deconstructed" Beatles recordings, as these things always reveal new aspects that I really enjoy. BUT, as to your videos, there are two categories. 1) Where there isn't a good video of a real Beatle's performance, your creations are really a plus. 2) But in cases where there is great performance video to b had, such as "All You Need Is Love", and "Revolution", after one or two viewings of your new video tracks, I realize that there is nothing more sublime than watching the original real Beatles video along with your new mixes. Maybe there are legal issues with directly using original Beatles videos, but I hope you can consider this,,, save your great video artistry where there isn't any good Beatle performance footage to use........ The most awesome combination would be your remixes with the real Beatles to watch......... Thank you, your work is beyond stellar in all other regards!

The second contribution from the U.K. to this programme was a documentary on the Scottish new town of Cumbernauld.

Wow! Lennon’s voice sounds superb. Wonderful remixing job. Bravo.
Thanks, I'm glad you think so. I appreciate your listening!
Your characteristic instrumental and lead vocal clarity work well in this multi-layered song. Love and a clear mix is all we need! Thanks.
Thank you and thanks so much for listening!

Lennon knew how to hit the nail on the head under pressure. An incredible contribution to the worldwide telecast.

You buried George's extra "mistake" note from the end of his solo. I always loved that mistake.

Thank you very much! Yes, some videos are blocked in which case I have to make modifications to get them through.
This is the longest stereo mix I've heard. Notice it ends just before the "Greensleeves" tag is reprised.
Were the Beatles the first band to go 'meta'? Referencing themselves and previous songs in their later works?
