Then the author got a serialization for accel world, and sao as well. Then he adapted the WN in light novel form, and it's only been since a few years ago that he really started writing a new arc (unital ring, progressive, ..). And now Unital Ring is supposedly the final arc (though considering alicization lasted like 12 volumes and it should be longer than it, SAO's far from over)
The opening at 18:50 was for the mobile game Alicization Rising Steel. It goes further in depth of the story of the Alicization than the novels or anime ever do, plus introduces one of the "Integrity Knights"that never appeared in the anime or novel; the silver haired girl (Eydis) fighting the blonde guy (Eugeo) Ice guy with the blue rose sword. Canonically she was never woken up in the anime or novel.
Maybe more than the anime, but definitely not more than the novels. I've played this game and read all SAO LN, and light novels have way more information, character development and world building, so idk what you're talking about.

SAO uh, wasn't my first actual anime but alicization still was the first simulcast I waited for each week back in 2018 I don't get why it is this much hated. I mean, I understand why it would be (especially for those scenes, and the fact that the anime is pretty poorly adapted scenario-wise (the LN isn't anything incredible, but the anime still feels like it skips way too much character development, which leads to this kirito-just-op-character feeling and other stuff like that, and I feel like it could have been much better )) (well the animation still slaps, that's A1 for you I guess) but it's only in the english community that it's this much hated. maybe Mother's Basement has something to do with it, who knows. Anyway I'm French and it's far less hated over here. There are still a lot of people who don't like it, but not to the point of insulting your mother and all if you dared say that you quite enjoyed the show. Hanging out in the english anime community feels like you can't even choose something else from "love sao" or "hate sao" seriously anyway the show seems to be doing great, couldn't go to the theater when the progressive movie aired but I hope I'll be able to see it soon, even if I've already read the manga quite a while back, I'm really hyped (seeing Aincrad again and all) Unital Ring also seems cool and all, but considering the novel only started a few years ago, gonna wait for a while before seeing it adapted in anime
Alicization was by far the best season for me, the first season of Alicization is soooo amazing. I couldn't get into it at first (watched the first episode like 5 times and got bored) but after I got into it, it quickly became not only my favourite season but also one of my top 5 anime. Definitely worth checking out
@@BassBanj0 I mean, calibur kinda was a short story thats meant to tie in later in Unital Ring, it was a nice short story overall but the thing about sword art is it was never written chronologically, well at the beginning at least, and there's so many unanimated short stories that will never be animated and the ones that are animated have so many details left out so I'm just glad Calibur got animated is all (T-T) Also they left out that Kiri and Asu met Heathcliff during the murder mystery arc which is what led kirito to keep investigating and also gave grrat hints towards heathcliff's identity. It would of been so good animated but it wasn't so... idk
season2 2nd half Mothers rosario not everyone probably liked this arc because it didn't really feature kirito but it did showcase how some people play video games/hobbies in general to help cope/relieve themselves in real life and a new technology being developed.
Sao has one bad Arc that i can think off even if theres a few the good parts far outway the bad. theres still to reason to warrant hate to this show for a bad Arc. Black clovers entire beginning was Ass yet theres no where near as much hate for that. what about The og FMA ? sao is the only show that gets this much Hate, for having 1 if not a few bad/mediocre arcs when things like redo of healer exist.
Honestly the worst part (Arc 4) isn’t even bad, it’s just got the tone of a filler arc. The only purpose it has is reminding the audience “yeah these characters do just hang out and have fun sometimes.”

This is the Prince of Anime that people either love or hate... Fairy Tail is the King. The problems people had for the most part was that it was rushed, so when Alicization came out, a lot of people didn't bother with it. Sad really, since Alicization is easily the best of SAO and that animation? Not opening exclusive... that's the actual animation
Btw it's not asoona and kareeto the way japanese works in sylibalic characters makes them あすな a-su-na the す pronounced kind of like sue. With kii-chan it's きりと ki-ri-to with the き and り sort of sticking together to make kiri and ending in "toe", therefore kirito. Think of it like saying kiwi but with an r. Hope you like the endings when you watch them btw, my faves are yume sekai, shirushi and unlasting. The first one is by Asuna's va, and the other two are by LiSA!
In the 3rd opening, people often notice Kirito's first two avatars walking by from SAO and ALO but they never notice his GGO avatar passing just after with the white shirt and long hair. Also male playing a female avatar in a game means nothing really. I do it all the time just because i think female characters in fighting games and rpgs look more badass and stylish. Now if you're actually trying to be perceive as a girl online that's a bit sus but hey, that's none of my business i guess.

It was the first anime I ever watched, and coming back to it, it definitely has it’s highs, but I believe that the reason people hated it was because they were expecting something like attack on titan, being a gritty take on people being trapped in a simulation, and when they got an admittedly average shonen, they got pretty disappointed
Alicization is a whole other boat tho, has some animation on par with other major shonens, and would have been an amazing close to the series if they had just given us a good episode to wrap everything up. Still excited for the initial ring anime though, and the SAO progressive announcement at the end of the season was so well executed.

There's many reason why sao is being hated. Firstly A-1 Adapt the series as a Shounen (is still A Shounen) but it's a Seine Type content people thought it will be floor by floor but in the original novel it's in the anime. Second It created the Kirito clone in Novel, manga and other anime. Third it has Ecchi stuff in every Season i mean S1 Last episode S2 In the end of Phantom bullet Alicization r-pe scene that become A Drama. (Even the author Apologize the Voice actors for Doing it) And war of underworld part 2 another ecchi scene. That is the firsssst Epissssooddeee.
I didn't hate this show but i hate Kirito's protagonist luck that made girls attracted to him and then accidentally broke their heart (twice for 1 girl)

It's not The Main Characters from the original anime they are only mentions but It's new cast and Tbh one of the best Sao story. Topic is a spoiler but I really recommended watching that if your gonna watch/Rewatch the whole series.
SAO gets alot of unnessasry Hate, but the fans far outway the haters considering theres 3 seasons and 2 movies. Every anime has flaws but AniTubers made bank with veiws from hating on sao. I personally love SAO no ones invalid opinion will change that.
For me I find the show sometimes boring and idiotic, is started whit a great premise but didn't follow up , and it became generic, but it's good some times, mostly when Kirito is not on the spotlight

SAO was a really inconsistent anime. Parts of it were really good, but there were truly terrible parts. However, the openings are all fire!

For me I find the show sometimes boring and idiotic, is started whit a great premise but didn't follow up , and it became generic, but it's good some times, mostly when Kirito is not on the spotlight
