    I ended up getting 4 cupholders from autozone, drilled 4 holes in each and in the cooler to put zip ties through to attach it, then a couple of O hooks on the side of the cooler towards your back, then use a bungee strap around the whole cooler to hold drinks. Works well, no spills yet and more room for food inside

      @joemann7971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could probably add cup holders on the outside so if there is a small spill, you don't get the food wet. It also saves more space on the inside for more deliveries.
      I've never done doordash before, so, not sure how that would work.
      Edit: did you add them on the outside or inside? I wasn't sure from your comment.

    I do it on an electric motorcycle, so basically no running costs, and I have three cup holders in a compartment where the gas tank would be. I have a 60 liter Givi trekker top box which can fit five 14"pizzas, seven if you have a bungee cord. Three 16" or bigger pizzas will fit on top with a bungee cord used as a shelf, and another bungee used to hold the open lid down tight to the pizzas. Never had any issues with damaged food. Most that happens is asian food sauce leaks from the side of the styrofoam trays. But that happens in the car too.

    Pro tip on your smartphone mount: When those rubber bumpers come off - instead of electrical tape, go with electrical heat-shrink tubing, and stack them and shrink-to-fit. ;) Also, if the cooler were mounted any further back, an obstruction of the taillight would likely start taking place. Great post mate. Cheers. :)

      @joemann7971 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could add an auxiliary tail light to make up for the obstructed tail light. It would probably be a good idea to add one even if its not obstructed.

    Great video, man! I'm totally going to do this on my Sporty! Intead of using bungee cords attach a strip of Velcro on either side of the drink holder.

    I do Just eat (similar to door dash here in UK) and I do deliveries on my motorcycle using my delivery backpack. Cost me £60 but well worth it, most drivers here use mopeds with the box attached but using the bag with a proper bike is the better preference 😎

    I've been doing deliveries for about 2 years. Been using the deliveroo cube on my back.
    But I recently hurt my back so want to mount the box to my Vespa Primavera, which lol I think is a better option than you 900.
    I like your video, you've given this a lot of thought. But I think attaching an Uber box would be a better idea as it's a very big box. Also a scooter has more storage under the seat.
    I like your pizza bag, but think this would fit inside the Uber box.
    I've been using a new nokia 5.3 and have done 7 hours without charging.

    I do deliveries on my grom, I use a plastic bin and for drinks I have a small luch box with a carton drink holder cut in half from MacDonalds, I replace it everytime it wears out but I secure the lids with masking tape, works great exept for hot drinks I think its becuase of the heat preasure I always end up spilling a bit but clean I it up before handing it over to customer.

      @@sixdsix5028 It was super profitable on the Z125, averaging about 140-150 dollars per 6 hour work days, and 1-1.2 gal of fuel.
      I was able to zoom in and out of traffic and get more deliveries per hour than a car would, and because its so small i just pulled up on curbs in front of pickup spots so I never had to look for parking.
      It was super fun smashing around town on a minibike, and because its so small nobody looks at you funny for riding on the sidewalk to get deliveries lol.

  • @zzak52
    @zzak52 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video. My only concern is mounting the cooler, the way you have it mounted is a lot of work to remove on your day off.
    Yes, carrying drinks will be an issue, but on average how many times you get drinks in cups?

    • @thebackpackerbryan
      @thebackpackerbryan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup. The cooler is extremely difficult to remove so it just stays there and I use it to store my helmet or my groceries. Way cheaper than a top case. :)
      I carry drinks maybe 5% of the time but I never know I have them until I'm at the restaurant and picking up the order. So I can't deny the order. Still don't have a perfect solution yet.

    I've started doing deliveries on my scooter too, and I have had issues with foods that are like a stew consistency, scooters take bumbs harder than a car so for a couple of times the whole order was damage by the time I got to the customer.
    How do you prevent from those kind of foods containers to get opened by bumps?
