    I've got that same delivery bag on my eBike! It holds a deceptively large amount of stuff. I can fit two 24-pack waters and still have half the bag left for additional stuff, so I have no problem fitting everything in it.

    I do this on a honda cb125 and i accept jobs based on what i expect to be paid hourly. Eg 25-30 per hour. Therefore if its 15 minutes it needs to be $7.50 minimum. The fuel is almost nothing. Do your own servicing

    I just started doing Uber eats in South Jersey . I retired from construction back in July so I have a pension and this is just a side hustle and so far it’s fun . I drive a Mitsubishi mirage and get about 37-40 mpg and will set up my Honda Navi when the weather breaks some and see how it goes .

    Hey I live in the DC area too. I’m gonna use doordash to get time on my bike. Just passed my msf figured I might as well monetize my practice

      How are you doing with this endeavor? I'm also considering doing the same thing! Fixing to take MSF and have my sight set on a Royal Enfield Hunter 350, also for purposes of door dash/Uber eats, etc! It's a win win if you love bikes, generally ppl have to wait for the weekend when they are off from work to get in some riding time, but if you're dashing on a bike you get to ride all the time and get paid for it! What would be a dull, mundane monotony in an automobile (and the gas expense that comes with it), is suddenly now an adventure on a charming bike that makes you feel good every time you throw a leg over it! Maybe that's romanticizing it a bit too much, but I guess I will find out soon enough.

    love the PCX! Wanted one of those but ended up getting an ADV because I found a used one nearby. Still wish I had the PCX so bad! So sporty and actually faster than the adv too

    • @motardsquid
      @motardsquid  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is it? I heard the adv was faster. Your rear wheel is smaller than the front? How does that handle?

    • @NoesKicker
      @NoesKicker 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@motardsquid I'm sure they are fairly comparable, especially the current models. In fact, I think they share the same engine now, but up until the recent models, the PCX has a slightly larger displacement engine than the ADV. No clue why lol
      The ADV handles great and has great suspension but tbh I think the PCX wins out if you do most of your riding on paved roads. The PCX probably handles even better on the streets

    I did deliveries way back when postmates was a new thing. I was making around $60/Hour on weekends. I still get videos recommended about it lol. It's much more difficult to earn a livable wage on there.

    Hiring outside companies to perform tasks formerly done by employees is the latest way for corporations to cut their costs of doing business and pass the expense onto someone else - they don't pay health benefits, fica, workmen's compensation insurance, etc. Self-employment is great, except you're on your own out there. Companies such as the food delivery giants like private contractors because that's not an expense for them. - It's your problem and also must be taken into consideration. Being able to pay for medical attention when needed is a BIG deal. (especially with the inherent dangers of two wheeled deliveries)

    • @motardsquid
      @motardsquid  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely on point. Things have gotten convenient, but the workers are are paying for it. The more i look for work the more i realize even small companies are using this strategy.

    I like doing gig economy in addition to my seasonal jobs because I can have a lot of time off that way but work for like 12 hours a day when I feel like making more money. I think I’m going to get a scooter because my car doesn’t get great gas mileage. I’ve been doing Walmart spark because it’s less miles and makes more sense. I think door dash is more fun though.

    • @CR03_Outdoor_Adventures
      @CR03_Outdoor_Adventures 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nicholasolivas317 basically you go to Walmart and either shop for people or pickup pre packaged deliveries and drop them off in a route like Amazon flex. I personally like the shopping side of it because I know my local stores, but I have a friend who only does the other orders.

    You always tell it like it is. So many of the other youtubers doing food delivery videos are all clickbait. Either they prey on the fears of riders talking about how bad it is… or they are the other extreme saying how you can make $400 to $500 a day! 😂 Mostly they make their money with youtube not food delivery, so of course they’re not gonna be honest. It’s all sensationalized. Your videos are refreshing because you’re actually a rider & you realistically show the pros & cons from your own experience. I’m about to buy a used Honda PCX & do food delivery as a side hustle here in NY on weeknights after my regular job installing solar panels, and on the weekends. Uber Eats accepted me right away. I am still waiting to be accepted for Doordash & Grub Hub. What i like about Uber Eats, is that you can go on whenever you want & go wherever you want. From what I hear about DD & GH is that you have to “schedule” your time in advance, so you can’t be spontaneous…and you also have to stay within a certain area. Anyway, I enjoy your videos for your honesty. Looking forward to making my own videos! I’m lucky, because like you, I am in a good area(New York). I don’t know how much I’ll make yet, but it’ll be fun just getting paid to ride my scooter. 🛵 💨

    I'm from Denmark and I love doing food delivery on my scooter. I do it as a side hustle, I make music and day trade.
    We should focus on freedom and money every day as the highest priority. Keep the expenses low and invest your money in a side hustle. Probably not day trading, because it is super hard.

    What do you use to strap the delivery bag to your bike? And what bag do you use?

      Its the packr 140, i have a link in the description on the videos. I like it, i know its huge but it has saved me so many times when getting big orders. The bag has hooks that have buckles that strap to the rack, its one of the weakest parts, i wish the buckle was located different place.

    Hey Squid, I'm 3 weeks into Door Dash on my 49cc scooter. I have the pakir Bag as well. Can you do a video on how you are setting up the rack and bag to the scooter itself. My C3 has the OG rack so I can add my bag no problem there. I was just wondering how much of a hassle to get the rack secured on diff scoots.
    Im cominf from Pizza delivery. Drinks and soup are biggest pain in the butt right now. Id say 95% of my orders have drinks..

    29 mpg on a ST 1300 means something is wrong 40 to 50mpg is normal.

    • @motardsquid
      @motardsquid  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In stop and go traffic like i do with food delivery your mileage on a st1300 or any large bike will drop. It's not meant for that type of riding. If i were to ride the st1300 normally it will get 42mpg, never got 50mpg on any of my st1300's.

    • @mikeonabus
      @mikeonabus 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @motardsquid It is a cop/paramedic/commercial service bike, just sayin. It is DESIGNED for stop and go as well as manuverability. I had my doubts about dashing with a 600lb bike, other than backing up is the only downside. As a bike mechanic that low mileage is concerning :)

    How are you, brother? I have already subscribed to your channel. I have two or three questions, please answer them. I look forward to your feedback on the bike. I have been working as a bike delivery worker in Dubai for almost 4 years. Now if I come to Canada from Dubai. Can I ride a bike in Canada with a Dubai license? Many will say, many will not say, I want to be sure brother you have a bike license, you will definitely know. Please let me know that I will be very helpful. And the second question is whether the delivery work can be done with the bike. Not an electric bike, but an original bike. And please let me know how much money can be earned in a month, I will watch all your videos and subscribe

      Why are you moving to Canada? I believe in most places you can have a temporary license when you move to a country, some places allow for a license transfer. But if you are moving to a place permanently you will need to pass a test. Im in the u.s. so its a little different than canada.

      Yes you can do deliveries in a regular bicycle. Hell im going to start doing that more, get some exercise and get paid. but you need to pick the area carefully, pick a very dense city. Im in the d.c area and there are many bicycle delivery guys.

    Motorcycles require insurance which adds to costs. Scooters…..are scooters.
