I am a guitar builder (and now teacher) from Ireland, but currently based in the South of England working with Crimson Guitars. The closer it gets to being done the more impatient I get in wanting to see the full thing haha! It's looking fantastic so far.

That jig is brilliant. It seems obvious, but I’ve never seen anything like it.

Have a little guitar with your glue - lol!! Beautiful build!
I know you know this, but if you wait to drill the tuner post holes until after the veneer is glued on, you can dry fit the veneer with your choice of the masking tape and superglue hack, or double stick tape, and in doing so you can drill for some 3mm dowels (toothpicks) in the spots where the tuners will be, disassemble the lot, and then glue with no worry of everything sliding about.
Really like the look of the build by the way.
Looking great so far, can't wait to see the finished guitar. Your entry last year was a really nice guitar and this one is looking like it will be as well.

Hi Seán. Amazing build! Really looking forward to seeing the finished product. Where did you learn/train in lutherie?
Lots of gloopy glue was being used. It liked very running. Any reason for that?
You lost your neck carving jig?
I didn't bring it with me to crimson, I'm afraid! I really miss it actually, but just haven't gotten a chance to make a replacement
I mustve missed why attaching the wings before doing the frets was bad?? What happened?? Looking great btw!

I guess it's about the ease of fret ends leveling when you work with long leveling file and sometimes you can hit and damage the wings.

Just watched you on the "whats on the bench". This is a great build for sure but YOU CHEATED!!!!!!! look where you are building. Just funnin but talk about the perfect environment to build in. I think anyone that has not had the chance to do a course there would be jealous.
