For the people that know exactly what the appearance of Trish and the weight of Nello Angelo have on Vergil, even if it's just a dlc rush this has to be one of the most cathartic fights Vergil would ever have, saving the clone of his mother from a similar fate he had

So, seeing his mom get trapped inside an another "nelo" like him probably make him motivated by madness and fight aggressively. Like the vid
The pauses make true style come to life. Relentless button combos are great, but pausing and standing there (MENACINGLY) are supreme and show full control. Plus the lack of repeated combos show you don't lean on any specific damage dealing strings and you actually PLAY the game, not memorize it and go through the motions. Good kill.
Uh, no, waiting around is literally necessary in games like this against the high level enemies. There are times where if you attack or something, they can either counter or it'll lock you into moves or animations that will make it hard for you to accurately block their next move.
even though this is not the level of "full-on aggression" "absolutely obliterate the enemy" kind of gameplay i usually see from other high level players, I love this one the most Because you're not going hard into the fight, it feels so well paced that i can imagine this is actually how Vergil would fight. Just casually taking his time, not even trying while still absolutely destroying the enemy
The rising sword attack that comes before helm breaker. He's meeting a downward thrust of angelo with an upward thrust of his own. Tis the proper response. Using the stinger would get you slammed in the skull. Beyond using the correct move its just timing
It is actually easy to parry him that much by spamming Lunar Phase but what is really impressive is that he used a different move for each parry he literally used ALL weapons while doing consecutive parries that is godlike timing
I find this fight really good. To be honest, I was expecting Lunar Phase at any Cavaliere Angelo attack and a heavy Hell on Earth spamming, like many other videos, but it turned out to be much better. Impressive.
personally, i am a tad bit confused he didnt end on the first stun by going hell on earth, JCE and.... mirage edge spinny wheeeee (i forgot what its called). Cause that is my usual roatation to drop angelo from like 30'%
This right here is the level of skill that's to where you're just using the basics of the game but in such well timed manner that you see that even the most simplest of tools when utilized correctly can be the most deadly thing. Evidently that ending says it all THIS MOTIVATION IS ABSOLUTE POWER

I think the V character, and the fact you're stuck with certain characters on certain missions ruined the game for me. I was disappointed in this game. Using V felt like a chore and not fun. Nero was ok but limited, and Dante was badass but only available on a few missions. This game had such great potential and was still fun on 1 play through but I got bored after that. In DMC Definitive Edition I played through at least 5 times, beat it on each difficulty, etc. and still kept playing. This one after I beat it I felt like "thankfully it's over". I still hate V idc what anyone says.

V plays kinda like dante because his skill ceiling is very high which is why I understand why people don't like playing with him even I have trouble replicating the setups in that vid xD
