I felt the same but then I thought of it as if it were an anime. Where the main character normally does their finisher to end the battle, where usually it does. Just that the villain instead of retreating decided to put all their energy into one last ditch effort to finish off the MC who's done with the battle. MC sees this and tries to reason with him, it fails and so he decides that the villain needs to die and does it in a very dismissive manner. Works out well for my headcanon lol
That moment when the parries occur during combos at such precise moments, when attacks are executed so flawlessly, when concentration is kept to perfectly, and when the enemy is slaughtered like such scum - that it can be no-one else but Vergil himself behind the wheel. This gameplay was beyond exceptional. The mods for the SFX, the old DT, his voice, oh it was all just spectacular to watch.

An example would be the combo A into a summoned swords forward then back forward into combo C here. Another one was implementing the back forward into JCE. Don't forget, the triple helm breakers with Force Edge is PTSD-inducing! This whole boss fight was Vergil bringing all of his POWER but with well-calculated and accurate timing, which brings out the badassery in Vergil. And what more is that FINISHER man, really brings out his coldness and it is perfectly timed. I love that. Props to you, man!
Watching Vergil fail the execution with Judgement Cut, only to stagger the cavalier and say "You dare to make a fool out of me?" was probably the most in character thing I've ever seen.

It's also interesting seeing the different tactics people learn to use, but the calm rage of Vergil is always my favorite. One time, I couldn't finish him off with JCE, so I instantly moved on to that finish. I've done it several times and it worked. It was a miracle.
