In case you are wondering why his videos are in 360p early? it's because he didn't wait before publishing the video because it needs to process and he publishes right after it upload is complete that's why it processes in the video itself

I’m running the iOS 12 on my iPhone 6 and gotta say, love some of the features like the fake 3D Touch thing for the keyboard and some other animations and stuff, but for one good reason I won’t go back to iOS 11 and that would be the battery life. I was charging my phone 2 sometimes 3 times a day and had to leave it plugged in at night on iOS 11, but I’ve noticed a huge bump in battery life on iOS 12. Can’t wait for the final version to come out and see what the full experience feels like. But in general I’m happy and gotta add that it also feels a little faster than iOS 11, maybe not 70% but around 20-30% 🤷♂️ my personal experience and opinions 👍
Nope. For 5s and 6 in control centre, fake 3D touch(actually just touching for prolonged periods instead of pressing down hard) to bring up the advanced settings 6s and above would be real 3D Touch then 😂
You should really add labeling text and slo-mo in the edit for these types of videos. Would help the audience understand what they're seeing a lot more.
I missed the part where iOS 12 was fast? I visually saw almost no difference between app launching and camera opening. Seems like the bench marks yielded a better score overall for iOS12 but that doesn't really mean anything to me.... App and camera performance are by far the most prevalent things you'll be using on your phone. Hopefully things will improve once it's out of beta.

New install needs some time to cache the app files etc in order to see the true performance.. also 11.4.1 is really fast already runs great on my iPhone x
Keep in mind this is the first build of the beta, and these third party apps have had absolutely no chance to release optimized versions. This is awesome to see, but the results are not going to be accurate at all of the final product. Especially the boot up times, it's likely they are performing diagnostic things during boot that prolong it.
My iPhone X dims on its own even when the auto dim settings are off. I notice my screen dimming when my phone warms up. My brightness will brighten back up when the phone cools down again. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Apple just removed/reduced the animation to make the camera open up 70% faster. To actually make a phone faster you've to give it a speedier SSD, which is a hardware upgrade.

The real difference in speed is probably noticeable only with an optimized app and compiled with new API's. Animations are always throttled and can be sped up with hidden settings.

Do it for the iPads! My iPad Air 2 runs heavenly smooth on 12 beta 1, I literally haven’t experienced one bug as yet, and way less UI stuttering, it’s a rare occurrence now
iOS 12 beta 1 is literally more stable than 11.4 on my 6S. The only major issue I could find so far was that Skype crashes which isn’t a big deal for me... Using it as a daily driver on my main phone.
You should do your internet speedtests next to your router to get a more accurate representation of how much the phone can handle. You should also make sure that the router you are using is capable of giving as much bandwidth as possible to your phone to see where it really can get to. I say this because I get between 470 and 485 Mb/s download consistently with my iPhone 8+ sitting next to my router (same as wired speeds, it maxes out my connection), so I believe some of your equipment might be bottlenecking the test, not the phone, considering my results are higher. Just a suggestion!

The performance on the 6s is still amazing, this phone is aging like a beast. The only downsides are the battery and the rear camera at night.

I have a iPhone SE and the load time for apps on iOS 12 is unreal it’s done amazing so far and there hasn’t been a lot of bugs either.

You should start making videos with 18.5:9 aspect ratio so it fits longer screens. It’s so much nicer to watch on iPhone X

I hate to say it but I'm still on iOS 10.3.3 on my 7+ and it runs everything like the day I got it. Absolutely no slowdowns at all so far.
