Just got one and came back from a three day trip. The 200 X kept everything going, lights, cameras, iPad Air3, and a leaking air mattress🥺 came home with 72% battery and never had to unpack the nomad 50. We did use the venture 70 hiking once but the little yeti made base camp like home… fantastic little product. We love it. At home a storm took out power we used the little yeti to run our tv and ham radio station, and lights then we did use the nomad 50 started charging at 7:30 am by noon the little yeti was full again used a formula of amps x volts a full size fridge pulled 18 watts so we tried the fridge was cold from our gas generator but when connected to the nomad 50 the little yeti kept the fridge going for three days! What a great little product!
About five months each year, during spring and summer we used the Yeti 150 on an island. Four phones, laptops, GoPro camera's. Everything was charged daily. Now after many years of using the Yeti 150 I had to replace it. Just bought this 200X. Let the summer begin ! :-)
I have the same 200x and a Nomad 50 and use it to power a small 12v portable refrigerator. On battery power only I get between 5 and 6 hours max, depending on the ambient temperature. The 200x can be solar charging and run the fridge at the same time, which is great for daytime hours, and as the sun sets, it kicks back into battery only mode. I would have liked to have had the 500x model to have more battery life, however, it was cost prohibitive for me, perhaps in the future. For now, I also have a 12v cigarette lighter connection to my truck and I will run the fridge off of it for the few hours in the evening, then put it on the 200x for overnight. If I set the temp on the fridge to eco mode at 32 degrees it will run on battery for about 7 hours in the cooler evenings. The other thing about this setup it that it is very portable, not small or light enough for backpacking, but certainly doable for shorter hikes into a primitive camping spot for a weekend. Overall I am very impressed with the build quality and the usability of such a small system.
Sweet! I only miss the integrated steped up 12 V cigaret lighter port from 10,8 V output to 13,8 V output in the Yeti 200x because i don't want to mess around with the 12 V dongle sold from GZ seperately. Maybe you'll integrate it in your next line up / next gen products?
it's regulated I plugged in a pump, (i believe the specs says that) and I put an air compressor iSUP pump in mine and light turned red due to heavy amp draw ( i think over 10 amps it can't do much more )
Can I use it to power my CPAP camping? I have a DC adapter for it with no humidifier attachment, on medium settings. This would be a big help for camping if it can power my CPAP. Also can it charge up more than one device at a time? Thanks!
I think so I'll power mine up and see the amp draw. I power a cell booster with it but If u sleep during the day just have your solar going ! th-cam.com/video/zZnY4TIjSLk/w-d-xo.html
I’m trying to discharge via the USB C PD port to charge a power bank, but for some reason it’s going the wrong way! It’s sucking out of the power bank to charge the Yeti, instead of what I want the other direction. I’ve turned it on and off many times with nothing fixing this. I guess I’ll just charge it via the 18W USB C, but it’s much slower. Wish there was a setting because this is really annoying.
so sad the Yeti 1000 is being discontinued.... I wanted one so bad.... need something that can power my Dometic fridge for a weekend without costing a fortune up front.
I use a yeti 400 AGM to power my dometic cfx 35w set at -5 degrees Celsius lasted about 12 hours and 60% left in the battery. Will challenge it soon and will report what happens. Stay tuned.
Abdulrahman Almutairi thanks man... I’ve got a CFX 75.... I want something that can power it for at least 3 days. The 1000 was the perfect middle ground and would have been bang on for me. I actually paid for one through a local dealer, but they contacted me shortly after and told me Goal Zero had discontinued them and sent me my money back. I’m in Canada so the 1400 is $2500.... a little too steep for me. There are competitors at both the 1400 and 400 level, but no decent alternatives for what was the 1000.... I just don’t understand why they discontinued a product that had a portion of the market cornered.... I guess they just didn’t sell enough of them. To hold me over until someone releases something affordable in that 1000-1500 Whr range I’ve recently bought a Jackery 500... haven’t received it yet, but I got it for only $560 CAD.... so I figured it’s worth a try till I can afford to get something from GZ
@@corymudge7435 I understand your frustration, I'm in the same boat as you are. I do three day sometimes 5 day camping trips to the desert. What I'm going to do do is hook up two AGM batteries to the yeti 400, that would increase the capacity of the system. We get a good amount of sunshine so at least 150 Watts solar panel as well as intermittent charging from the car cigarette socket hopefully would top up the batteries each day! You could possibly diy your own battery
Abdulrahman Almutairi yeah that’s a good solution, although I’m hesitant to get a bunch of AGM’s for my setup due to the size and weight. Being up here on Vancouver island I can’t rely on solar as much either.... even if it’s sunny there are so many trees where we usually go you likely won’t be able to produce much. For now I’ll see how the Jackery does, and eventually I’ll have to upgrade to either a Yeti 1400, Inergy Apex, or Bluetti Maxoak.
If you can install a second battery - Renogy has a DC to DC charge controller with MPPT so you can use alternator - and solar together that would power your fridge way better. I think this would be to small for over 24 hours... for a fridge unless you had solar on it all day or plugged in .. th-cam.com/video/zZnY4TIjSLk/w-d-xo.html
Anyone have a Yeti 1250 that they want to get rid of? Or have just the shell without a battery? The circuit boards on my yeti have gone bad and goal zero can’t replace just my boards. It would be a huge help if anyone sees this and could possibly help me finding a yeti I can’t buy a new one or replacement yeti since I already invested in 4 new batteries for my yeti. Thanks everyone
I believe 100 Wh is the max allowable, but considering it's rated 187, perhaps. Although the "200" name may lead the TSA screener to assume it's 200 Wh and for the next few weeks, trump's their boss, so who can say?
I have a Yeti 200x goal zero that is brand new. I fully charged it using solar and the display showed 100%. I put the solar panel away, turned all the ports off and within 8 hours of no use, the battery had drained to less than 75%. Is this typical behavior for Yeti goal zero products? I have other batteries that don't drain at all when not in use for several months.
Hello, Julia. I get exactly same problem with Yeti 200, whatever it's fully charged using solar panel or ac wall plug. More than this, it drains battery very quickly, even with a very low consumption device as a USB led lamp. Another problem is the 8mm plug (Solar panel or AC power supply) which is proprietary. All GOAL ZERO accessories are super expensive. I am really disappointed with GOAL ZERO product and i will take a look to the competitors. Many now on the market.
@@BlueThailand I thought I was having a similar prob, but after some didling, realized that the DISPLAY was the prob. I noted 100%, but the little blue charger was still flashing. Hooked it up to my dometic cx3-75 anyway and checked about 2 or 3 hrs later to find it OFF, no display & putting out zilch. Brought it inside to wall charge but inadvertently pressed the usb and voila! the display lit up with 91%! Charged it back to 100% & back on the dometic for 7 hrs! I assume a surge from the wall may have interfered with the bms logic, but seems ok now. I DO wish they had an off switch for that display though. It's rather blinding & it's gotta be at least 50-100 ma wasted all the time
GOAL ZERO systems have a major problem: their proprietary connectors and peripherals. It is an overpriced captive system. Apart from that, the YETI 200 is quite special in terms of consumption. A simple USB LED lamp discharges the battery by 2% in 35 minutes ... As for the full charge with a solar panel, you must already be able to find an extension cable to alleviate the misery of the original cable. And there, it takes 10 hours for a 60% charge, in full tropical sun. We are far from the performances announced in the description sheet.
I've a 200x, 500x, a Goal Zero car charger, & a bluetti eb240. Noticed that the Goal Zero 8mm plugs have just a slightly shorter barrel than the bluetti's 8mm. Too bad. I have to use a Bestek 300W pure sign inverter with the bluetti ps, but only works when I'm at highway speeds & NOTHING else plugged into the cargo van's elec system, otherwise the bluetti PS is intermittent. I wish you guys would stop being so proprietary, standardize more quickly & think of your customers more! It's all a big PIA!

They've been saying they're going to do this with their new ones, clearly they haven't.
The 12v output on the Yeti 200x unit is regulated! No need for a dongle!

The user guide mentions universal or Australia versions under the inverter section. So I'd say yes.
