    Thanks for the review. We have this model and it's great. Houston has had frequent power outages because of the weather. It is necessary for us. We are unable to have a gas generator installed because of the easement. We are interested in obtaining another Goal Zero but are unsure which. There are several new models. I would like to see a review of the Yeti 3000X, 6000X, & the new Yeti Pro 4000. Please do.

    Can you charge that using a gas generator

    Would you ever consider moving up to the 3000 if you had to do it again ?

      I’ve actually been thinking about getting one of the smaller LiFePo GZ power banks for summer camping. I don’t use much power during the summer and it might be a little more convenient for me.

    I have some GZ stuff and I agree. I like it and the batteries and lights works fine.
    But one downside is the solar charge at cloudy/covered weather conditions. The 1000x and above models needs at minimum 20 watts to start solar charging (500x 5 watts, 200x 1 watt). So you have the whole day clouds, the Yetis from 1000x and up does not charge and you waste on such days about 200 Wh.
    The actual Yeti 300/500/700 with LFP are better, they starts solar charging from the first incoming watt.

    Hi, great video, I loved the positive and negative commentary. I would love to hook my 1500x to our camper battery. I know you made your cable. Can you share the steps of manufacture?

      Glad you enjoyed it! Here is a link where I got the info on how to make the cable and utilize the GZ 1500x as a 12v source while camping.

    We are about to get one of these free from the state , we have two disabled kiddos. How long does it take to charge ? We already have a jackery but it takes forever to charge. ?

      I'm not sure about getting a free one? Charging times vary depending on the charger. 14 hours with the standard charger, 3 hours with a 600 watt charger. Remember, when charging Lithium ion batteries, the point of diminished returns is at about 80%. After that, charging slows considerably. Thanks for watching👍

    Hello , I thought the video was very informative and you gained a new follower. Do you have the 750w power inverter plugged into your cigarette port in your truck to charge the Yeti while driving? if not can you a video showing that , also how to use solar panels other then Goal Zero? Thank you agin for the info

    • @MaineOutdoorEnthusiast
      @MaineOutdoorEnthusiast  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve used the inverter plugged into the 12v outlet. It doesnt perform as well that way way.
      I also use the solar panels in combination with a charge controller to charge the 12v battery on my camper.
      Glad you got some value out of the video! Thanks for the follow👍

    Battery drain on these things is completely unacceptable. It was draining -25% every 30 days. I tried resetting and updating firmware. No dice. I've gone through (2) RMAs on them. Finally 3rd one is decent and doesn't battery drain. Goal Zero had some serious quality issues with these things early on. I HIGHLY recommend you get the newer Yeti ones with the phosphate batteries. You can get good bundle discounts

      Thanks for the input! I can only speak from my experience and that is I have had no issues with my yeti1500x losing charge even after 6 months of sitting. I do a lot of remote camping so weight and size is a big concern. Li NMC batteries are up to 40% lighter than LFP. That being said, I definitely have been considering a smaller generator from the new line that GZ offers. I think it would serve my summer camping well! Thanks for the comment👍
