About time to move to the USB-C 60 watt in/out. Been waiting for this. Now I can take my MacBook Pro 16 wall charger and use as a faster charger than you offer and still be a backup for the MacBook. Now it worth getting one for my needs. Time to update the rest of your line too.
Damn you Goal Zero! Me sitting here with my Extreme 350 and my 2 Escape 30 rugged solar panels, and you guys just won't quit making thing better. Lighter and more powerful... I may have to upgrade now.
The Yeti 500x I use has a faulty USB design connection. I have a 1000 and 500. Love the products. However, the second port from the left USB (not the c-port) has a design issue where some USB adapters will have a loose fit causing it to not work. It works but you have to keep pressure on it upwards to make the connection. This issue was found right out of the box. I hope Goal Zero fixed it.
I had your 200 and loved it. I bought the 500 within a day or two of its release expecting the same quality but the unit would not recharge. Your customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The customer rep assured me the unit was fine and it was all my fault and proceeded to tell me everything I’d done wrong, etc, etc. He would not listen to anything I tried to say, he’d just talk over me and proceed to continue assuring me I was an idiot and didn’t know what I was saying. I’ve never been so upset after a customer service call. I should have called back but I was so disappointed and angry. A few months later I considered approaching the issue again but decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. I’ve never considered another of your products since, or recommended them.
Yeti 500x is made with extremely cheap components. The battery drain relatively fast when not in use. I cannot believe they cost 5-700 dollars. If you leave it in storage and it drain down to 0, it will not take a charge and will brick. Mine bricked and I went with a Jackery, sat in storage for 7 months and it still had 95%+ of its charge. Yeti made good coolers for about a year, now they just overcharge people for pieces of shit.
Recovering from a stroke, weight is an issue. This is going to augment/replace my Extreme 350 /chained Yeti400. They work perfectly. But, like I said, weight is the issue.
I have the Goal Zero 1000 and 1400 and wish they come out with a 750 because all companies have a 500. There’s nothing really unique about a 500 watt inverter anymore. Hell based on the price alone its cheaper to just come up with an additional $300 an by the new jackery 1000.
Little question, when the Goal zero is charging on a solar panel, is it starting again automaticly charging after clouds for example ? I ask the question because I had materials who needed a manual start charge after a moment of shadow. Thank you
It’s a great product until suddenly quits accepting a charge. I had it go from daily charging and discharging 120w charger and running a 60 watt cooler on 12v to intermittent charging then none at all. I saw a replacement program for yeti 500x with charging issues but goal zero website form says my serial number shouldn’t have that problem. Well it does and it really sucks.
I have a 1400 watt goal zero. When I use my 12 volt refrigerator the volt output goes down to 9 volts after the battery hits 60% and the refrigerator will not run. How can I fix this problem?

I couldn't agree more. I have the same, but with a 400 and one more Escape 30.
Now it's where I want it to be. Definitely picking one up

You should market to the amateur radio community. They are constantly out in the field with their portable transceivers.
How about a video about the 6000x ?
Interesting product. I would have liked an Andersen Power connector too, like the 1250. Looking forward to more newer, innovative products!

If u ever decide to get rid of your yeti 1000 let me know. Can't find it in Canada and want one.
Can this be charged with two inputs at the same time?
I might give up my apartment with all my crappy neighbors and live in the woods with this thing.

I recently got a Yeti400 & it does a pretty good job on basic smaller items, but could I chain it to the 500X ?

They sell a 12V regulated adapter. Annoying I know. I have the Yeti 400 and had to get one for the fridge.
