    This is awesome. I bought two of these to bring with me to Gambella in Ethiopia. To give to my great aunt and auntie and cousins who live in huts in there village. They do not have access to electricity. So the fact that they are solar powered is perfect. Thank you very much

    Super frustrated because my &#$56++ light keeps going back into demo mode . Why just why would you program a light to be so difficult.

    Goalzero awesome product. One thing to enhance this for future products. I'm a backpacker, and try to go ultralight, this light is awesome, ultralight, love it. But it's almost a bowl, if you make it slightly more useful as a bowl, more backpackers would use this product. The bowl is already 99% of the way there, and it already is a bowl for dry stuff, but if more water proofing was made on the inside for the bowl. That would be 100% awesome.
    With this you can have a line of items of different size bowls/light combinations. Someone else mentioned to have a larger solar panel, which with a lager bowl/light combo, he satisfy would be completed as well.
    Awesome product, just one little enhancement t to make it so so much better.

      Hi,
      Thanks for your comment. We appreciate your input and will pass this along to our engineers and product development teams so they're aware of what our supporters are looking for in future products.

    This is a great product ! It does seem to take forever to to recharge in bright sunshine though. In fact I have been unable to have it recharge in a full day of sunshine but this is a really great lamp.

    • @desertdweller9255
      @desertdweller9255 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seriously! I live in NM where it’s sunny all the time and I’ve NEVER been able to get a decent charge on a full day of sun! The light dies within 2 hours tops while running on low! My old solar lantern from another brand sat in a pond for a year and still works better than this piece of crap.

    It also has warm light which is perfect for relaxing and resting. Friendlier in humanitarian situations when people need to be comforted. The color temperature of the light plays a very important role in our mood. It would be great to have a warm mode on the goal zero lighthouse lanterns, at least on the 400.

    What gives?

    I just got one and mine doesn't work like that. The power button for the different settings doesn't work properly. I was hoping I was doing it wrong and this video would show me. Nope... guess not. Great design otherwise. Update: it was in demo mode. Appears I have the 3 different light settings of high, med, weak; but now the candle option seems to have disappeared. Oh well, candle was least interesting to me. At least I don't have to return it now.

    What part in the engineering process you decided to claim false solar charging times and run times? I own this light and at low I don’t get more than 25 hours of run time and solar charging takes a lot longer than 20 hours.

  • @southernknight9983

    Why would you want to take the handle off, so you can loose it?

    • @bebrasha
      @bebrasha 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you can hang it from things. Take handle off, find a hanging rack or tent pole inside tent, a tree limb, anything that doesn't have free or accessible ends. Slide handle around the object and to lamp reattach, so it hangs from the object.

    • @southernknight9983
      @southernknight9983 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@bebrasha Oh! I see now. I was like, how can you hang it, if you took the handle off? It seemed contradictory.
      It allows you to loop it around the object. Got it. Thanks!

  • @69indigoblue
    @69indigoblue 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice device, I wish that manufacturers of those camping lights would spend a second button though, so you do not always have to cycle through all settings to reach a specific one. Would be so convenient to go up and down and not only in one direction! Goal Zero....do you listen???

  • @desertdweller9255
    @desertdweller9255 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Please, step up the quality! I almost died while backpacking because this light is garbage! I got stuck on a mountaintop with all of my lanterns not working even though 2 had been in full sun all day long and my other 2 were hooked up to a battery pack all day! I got about 2 hours of light max! Also, please add a battery gauge of some sort. This is a life or death design flaw! The light died prematurely as I was going down a cliff and I barely made it out alive.

    Not true. Charged mine up. And only will stay on for about 20 secs. What a waste of money and a total mis-selling. It doesnt cycle through 5 modes. It just turns on and off and when on it goes off within about 20 secs. Very very disappointed
