Dude, was it a Speccy? Cuz that's what I had for Xmas that year and this July my Deck is 2years old and I honestly can't imagine gaming any other way 😊
Waiting for my first steam deck oled 1T, so I have been watching a lot of vids and I wanted to say Thx for the genuine approach to helping a console loyalist to pc gaming. I’m so amped!
Modding on the steam deck is a game changer, getting dlss/fsr3 frame gen mod for cyberpunk was an eye opener never thought I'd be playing games like cyberpunk with 70 plus fps on the steam deck I'll be exploring more frame gen mods for games
One tip I have for anyone that is trying to edge out a little more performance without plugins or bios settings is this. After you decide on your framerate you want to run the game on, play for a while with the performance overlay on setting 3 or 4. During heavy moments try to pay attention to how high the GPU clock will go. After that set that number as the GPU override limit. This will improve the performance on CPU heavy games when you have set a TDP limit. The TDP limit controls both GPU and CPU power limits, but the GPU clock naturally only affects the GPU. Bu setting that clock number you are limiting the power for just the GPU while the rest will go to the CPU. In some cases you will even be able to lower the TDP by 1 or 2 watts without any decrease in performance and a slight increase in battery life. In one case I even had LESS studdering because the clock speed was stable and did not have to be adjusted by the system in response to GPU load. If you want more performace after this then I'd look into bios adjustments and / or installing plugins.
great guide one thing I think you missed saying is for all those performance tweaks like TDP an frame limit etc you can toggle Use per game profile, that way you can set TDP and Frame limit to that game only but leave global settings on default
Hi @GG_Sheed, just want to say a massive thank you! I've watched a ton of Steam Deck tips videos, but the clarity of your information really helped clear things up. I appreciate it!
Nice tips man. Going to check out the compatibility list for Mafia 3. Right now it says unsupported. However, MK11 works pretty good on my deck despite it saying it's unsupported
Oh please make that video on modding games on SD..I first got mine when the oled came out I tried figuring it out and just gave up cuz im not that savvy and how to vids tended to lose me
In some AAA games even if you can play at 60fps you should try 45fps (with 90hz) it is very close to playing at 60fps and you can limit more TDP and save baterry
Decky is not good right now after an update about a week ago or so. I tried reinstalling it last night, and I saw how buggy it still was. So I wiped it from my Deck.
@@gg_sheed The Up/Left, UP/Right require multiple inputs before it registers properly. Then Down/right and Down/Left require double roll motion for singular roll command. Example Shinkuu Hadoken motion only produces a Hadoken.
Yea I have seen other people have issues with diagonal inputs using the steam deck. But im not sure if that’s a flaw or part. Of their design for now. You returned it for a new one or did you get a different device entirely
as someone that bought his first computer in 1986, this device after 2 years of ownership still boggles my mind.

@@gg_sheed What’s the best settings to play Spider Man Remastered on Steam Deck?

For FSR the resolution has to be put into windowed mode for it to work a lot of the time too.
Interesting! Didn’t know this
@@gg_sheed yes make sure you see FSR enabled in green when your performance overlay is up on 4 or it isn't working. Glad to help.
Fsr is not recommended at that resolution, it's more for playing at 1080p on a monitor or tv.
Dude thanks for posting!
Of course!
My Steam Deck couldn't find any community layouts. Can you tell me why not?
Very useful tips

Yea 45fps is underrated for sure
good tips, but work on your mic location. Got volume maxed out and can barely hear you
Darn really? Sorry about that will def make it better!
Na, audio is fine, it's your phone homeboy.
Any tips for a Canadian trying to buy through financing? 🤔 🇨🇦

Which steam deck do you have and what’s your internet speed from your provider?
I did 12 tdp.
You got the OLED!
Haha yup 🤣 the upgrade was definitely worth it!
U Albinos don't have OLED lol
do you have time to test something for me?

Anyone here have D-Pad issues after getting it out of the box? I have already had to return mine.
I haven’t had those issues with the 2 SDs that I’ve owned so far. What exactly was the issue you saw?
