I missed this video. Was a great training aid with a great teacher even though it had a d-bag student so I was sad to see it deleted from youtube. Thanks for resurrecting it. RIP Ron Avery

I don't know him, never met him, but his personality and the way he teaches makes him seem very familiar and easy to understand. I just can't get enough of his lessons.

I can only echo what everyone else has said, thank you for posting this! I have been looking for this video for a very long time now. Ron Avery was deep thinker and master at this stuff. Arguably the best video on the draw stroke out there. RIP Ron Avery.

I've been hoping to see this again. Thank you. I remember there was some controversy regarding the student here, but I really don't care about him. Ron's lesson and the way he teaches are phenomenal. So calm and understated. He was great and it's awesome that this video lives on. Thank you again.

Ron is very polite and patient, RIP. He's trying very gently to get Corey to stop patting his chest with the support hand. I think he realized he cant get him to stop so he goes at it another way.....Awesomeness!!!!

I have personally come a long way with shooting. This video was extremely underrated for its time (back in the Corey/Erika era), and the techniques taught here are some of the basic fundamentals I still carry forward today. I can't believe that these hidden gems were always in front of us, but back then there was just so much junk it was hard to filter through. Nowadays we have so much free content to learn from, and it's our duty to essentially practice what we see on screen, validate, and see if it makes sense for us. Rest in peace Ron.
Good video and I agree others teach such a strict mechanical draw, this seems more natural and actually what I have done and do. The video was on draw and presentation I think he should have addressed the student dropping his head into a turtle position. You noticed Ron keeps his head up and level and didn't do the turtle, bring the firearm up not your head down.
So, who is Avery’s successor? Brilliant coach!

I don't think Corey's draw is that bad ( for combat) but that turtle crap limits your vision & awareness of your surroundings!
