You don't want to remain static in a gunfight. Moving targets are harder to hit, even if it's just two or three feet. It's good to do it when reloading and drawing if a move to cover isn't an option.
Because standing still without shooting back just makes you that much better of a target for the bad guys. So if you get into practice to move, even from side to side, it will help if you find yourself in a gun fight. Also, that's what they teach in a lot of classes, for the reason I just said.
Just curious, but were the instructors at Tactical Response teaching you to discard partial mags during a tactical reload and chamber a new round (ejecting the one in the chamber) or is there another reason for it?
For muscle memory under stress. Since tap, rack, bang works for reloading, and malfunction clearing, why not keep it simple and do the same thing? This is the idea. Sacrificing 1 round for an entire mag. You'll find that this is the nutshell of Tactical Response. There are ways of doing things faster, like for IDPA, but this is geared to gun fighting. I hope I made sense, and you kind of get the idea. To get an answer straight from the man himself --> /watch?v=lLUoNyO52XI
im assuming that she is shooting a glock. and please dont assume im trolling or anything to that degree. but why is it glock mags rarely seem to drop free easily? i push the release on any of my sigs and whether the mag is full or empty, new or old mag (1994) it comes flying out. is this issue common with other pistols or the dynamics of the glock? btw every time i watch one of her vids Erica seems to get better in all aspects. nice shooting.
He put a full mag in, and without it going to slide lock from previous mag, he knows there's a round in the chamber. Racking it then seems like he's wasting a round that could be the 1 round he needs later on.
Cody is not as good as erika. The problem with him as he has been watching too many Hollywood movies; he would have to 'unlearn' all that affected bullshit before you could teach him to shoot responsibly.
Great shooting Cory & Erika!...but where's douche-bag Yeager during all of this???...Doesn't he run Tactical Response??? I'm surprised he's not trying to stick his face into the camera! LOL!
Let's be honest. It's all about those incredible legs....
Cory and Erika, my wife and I love your vids. As an LEO, I can say, you guys are a great role model for young responsible gun owners..great stuff.

First time watching your videos. Great job guys. Cory, you are a hell of shot. That young lady sets the example for all the ladys out there. Kudos!!!
Awesome video guys. Liked it!! Its just cool to see training like that!
When Cory shot he was like "HOLY SHIT !" HAHA
Nice shooting guys! Erika's form is so good now, I notice her finger is right off that trigger when not shooting.
Just curious, but were the instructors at Tactical Response teaching you to discard partial mags during a tactical reload and chamber a new round (ejecting the one in the chamber) or is there another reason for it?
Corey, on your last mag change, why do you rack it when there's still a round in the chamber from previous mag?
Awesome video. I'm gunna be practicing this today! I saw this on the other channel but liked so much I watched again lol
For certain drills, yes, or if you need help they do 1 on 1 help!! Great class
Cory, you have some excellent cadence when you shoot. That is what I am striving for. Great shooting, with very fast transitions.
Great vid. Cory was fantastic! Great shooting drill.
Are you practicing for competitive shooting?
awesome, I'd love to do IDPA stuff but the nearest range where I can train is almost 2 hours away. Slightly jealous of you and Cory!
Thank you very much

Guys, does Fighting Pistol 2 normally come with this much focused instruction? In other words, 1 to 1 teacher student ratio... ? Thanks
Awe great, that makes us feel great!
Very nice. I would be nervous around the instructors. You guys are great.
Thank you!!

Oh.. we've seen this video already...? Couple videos back I remember Erika with that "showoff" look on her face. :D

Jealous! keep up the fun "work"? lol this can't be called work, it looks like to much fun
DAMN I NEED A GIRL LIKE THIS O M F G
why doesn't she use the slide lock?
Preference. Plus using the slide lock wears out the part where it locks, so cocking the slide back manually prevents that.
1and 2 and 3 and 4.....hehe
Erika you do it on purpose dont you
@big92fs go troll somewhere else
Thank you much
Thank you!
