Scariest part of this ride is the wait. The fear really kicks in when you’re sitting on the track. Seconds feel like hours i swear to god. Blink and you’re at the top. Your face melts. If you’re front row you’ll genuinely feel like you might die. 10/10 ride I’ve been on it nearly a dozen times and it never gets old. It may be a short ride but on days it’s not busy I’ll ride more than once
I think my irrational fear of roller coasters came from kingda ka. I remember when i was way younger I dragged my dad onto it and regret my decision the second we moved forward towards the launch area

For me I feel like the launch on this would be the most thrill, you kinda get used to the drop feeling, don’t get me wrong you might still feel it, but you know what to expect. I’ve been on velocicoaster and that second launch had me mind blown so I’m just imagining what this feels like because it’s about twice the speed as velocoaster’s second launch.
I remember trying to record on a rollercoaster, I dropped the phone before the ride even got started so I had to plant my foot on it and just pray I don't let it slip. Uncomfortable as hell! I don't even know how I kept a hold of it, the speed of the Rollercoaster was 1000x faster than the one & only Rollercoaster I was used to riding on back in New Zealand. & yes I know I shouldn't have used my phone but I was on holiday in Gold Coast, Australia for the 1st time & wanted to record every moment.

I wonder when rollercoasters will become so intense that we’ll reach a limit to the point where we can’t build anything bigger or else people will get hurt.
This coaster opened way back in 2005 and I rode it in 2006. I remember my first ride fondly. There were issues that day with lots of rollbacks so there were inconsistencies with launch speed. Our train was one of the fast ones boy was that awesome being whipped over the peak. With the downhill being a spinning vertical drop it felt like we were descending into the underworld. Unfortunately king da ka has become such a rough ride that I just skip it now. Way too headache inducing for me to enjoy it. Feels like a paint mixer.

@@DreTheChronic you're misunderstanding. People don't want to not go over and return to the station. If it doesn't make it over, you get launched again at a higher speed. People want THIS as the launch is the best part. You can still have multiple trains if this happens, even every time.
I will never forgive six flags for seeing cedar point make the tallest and one of the fastest roller coasters in the world and then saying “hey, let’s hire the exact same guy to design the exact same coaster, but let’s make it 36 feet taller, make it slightly faster, and add another hill after the first hill so it’s a longer ride!”

First time I took my grandson on a roller coaster. We were in the third car from the front. On the first drop looking almost straight down. My grandson asked why are we barely moving. I told him to look at the last few cars. They're still going up and when them cars reach the top you wait. My grandson looks at me and asked wait for what. At that point the look on his face was priceless! He had a death grip on my arm to the end. When you stop so far back from the platform with the people waiting. With a smile from ear to ear. He asked me can we go again. That was a proud moment for me.
Seems like the same coaster as Stealth at Thorpe Park (UK). Once you're over the loop, you're glad to still be alive. Crazy how it gets so fast so quick.

The drop tower on the hill to this is my favorite drop tower I have rode, it is extremely fun because I’m pretty sure you reach a point of not being able to go faster because of wind resistance and that split second in the ride is soooo much fun
